In this episode of Conversations with Daniel Duwa, we meet Stan Stewart — not merely a musician, but an architect of feeling. A pianist, composer, songwriter, and improviser, Stan’s work occupies that rare intersection where mastery meets meaning, and where sound becomes both reflection and refuge. His composition Lament to George — a haunting, graceful tribute to George Floyd — captures the emotional terrain of our time with uncommon sensitivity. It’s a piece that neither shouts nor preaches; instead, it breathes. Each note carries empathy, restraint, and the quiet insistence that we must remember, that we must feel, that we must stay human. In our conversation, we explore the deeper currents that shape his artistry — the discipline behind improvisation, the courage in tenderness, and the enduring power of music to bear witness when words fall short.Stan Stewart’s body of work, found at muz4now.com and playmusic.muz4now.com, reveals an artist not seeking fame but resonance — one who steadies a world slightly off balance with each measured phrase and open-hearted performance.Regards, Daniel.ART, CONTENT, COACHINGConversation with Daniel Duwa is produced by me, Daniel Duwa. Some of these stories have existed on different platforms, media outlets and in different formats, they will be available on this feed from now on.Please subscribe so that you are notified as soon as a new episode is available. Nienke Nasserian Nienke is a soprano and classical musician and performer in Europe born to a Netherland mother and a Tanzanian father whose meeting resembles the movies and especially, the classic movie Casablanca. She is walking the tightrope finding her way in a blend steeped in her European home where she grew up and her African heritage. She took a liking to play the clarinet at the tender age of eight, took to singing at fifteen, and Operatic performance at eighteen. She would graduate cum laude. My guest today is an amazing changer agent and a treasure trove of knowledge and inspiration. When the world fell off, and America had to change overnight in the 911 period, she charted an unlikely path. Not one to be in the comfort zone, Dorthea is embarking and charting very exciting paths that I feel will be of benefit to a whole new generation. This is a message that is heaven-sent in these strange times, Dorethea Kemp is a Graphic and Mobile Web Designer at her company DKemp Designs and I like the way she describes herself as "who also is a servant to the feline known as Smutty" on her socials. In her free time, she paints abstract art and blogs. You can connect with her at https://www.dkempdesigns.com/ Please enjoy my conversation with Dorthea Kemp. Conversation with  Daniel Duwa  -  Slevi Radhakrisna Cheria - Life Partnerships Slevi Radhakrisna Cheria  My guest today is a small yet growing percentage of entrepreneurs who have taken what I would call the high-rope act of building lasting businesses while also working with their life partners. Their company Business Sherpa is a coaching business that Slevi and her husband Akshay run together both as business partners but also as husband and wife. It is this dichotomy of where work begins and life starts and vice-versa that is super intriguing as to how they are navigating these waters. Slevi opens up about life, work, struggles, and successes so far. I think there is a masterclass that we could all benefit from emulating.  Thank you Slevi. Khrys is a single mom with a very energetic little boy. Their favorite thing to do together is travel, experiences she shares on her YouTube channel (Khrys Monet) which also has product reviews.  She says "I share lifestyle-related videos such as product reviews, travel, & anything else Mom life-related".  Her goal on the channel is to uplift, inspire, connect with other moms & empower others with valuable content. Her videos are straight to the point, with no intro, and no rambling.  Miss Monet as I call her is always in busy mommy mode racing the clock, a fact that is clear even in this podcast that we recorded while she made breakfast for her son.  All this while also working in the Airline industry.  You can also follow her on Instagram:  @khrysmonet Please enjoy my Conversation with Khrys Monet.  Regards, Daniel. In this episode, I had a late, late-night seat down interview with change-makers,  Jamaican, Rwandese CEO, educational consultant, and attorney, Donnalee Donaldson at the fringes of the Segal Conference.  An educator and education development specialist with a passion for strengthening education systems, and designing academic programs that create equitable access to education for all, particularly underserved populations.   Donnalee co-founded secondary and tertiary education programs in four countries, including in a refugee camp.   Her expertise includes teacher training, instructional coaching, curriculum development, program design, refugee education/education in emergencies, creating school-to-workforce pipelines, competency-based education & student recruitment, and admissions.   She is currently serving as the Rwanda Country Director of Educate!, where she leads a team that uses a novel approach to teacher training to support the government's implementation of a competence-based curriculum.  An attorney by training, Donnalee's professional experience also includes litigation and policy work for four local government agencies. As an international education professional, she draws on her legal background to develop practical policy solutions to systemic education issues.  I am based in Rwanda, but available for consulting opportunities globally (and remotely). Today, I share being interviewed by Ghosts of Tsavo author  Vered Ehsani @VeredEhsani Daniel Duwa – YOUNGEST PIRATE EVER 'He claims to be shy, but I’m not buying it. Especially for a former radio pirate at the age of 10 back in the state-owned media days of the Moi era. Daniel D’uwa was anything but reserved as we chatted in a University of Nairobi innovation lab where he often hangs out. Storytelling is his passion, and he loves music too. But, he says, “I have the equivalent of two left feet when it comes to playing.” So he sticks with writing, amongst other creative endeavors. In addition to being an amateur pirate and a writer, Daniel has also dabbled in film as a director and producer. He’s been a journalist, a poet, an event manager, a speaker, a social anthropologist, and (his personal favorite) a Nerd. Not bad for a guy who claims to be shy. Reflecting on the diversity of his city, Nairobi, he realized that we have to tell our stories. Not only are there lots of stories to tell, but there are also lots of tools to capture them with. His passion for churning out local content made him part of the team that started the Kenya Music Week and also directed the first-ever hidden camera comedy show called Krazie Kenyans, way before the hype for these types of TV shows really hit the industry last year.
