Meeting the Moon is a spoken word sound piece responding to the theme of the Chasing Sputnik exhibition at Quay Arts Centre, Isle of Wight. A human being is trying to hold a conversation with something so unfathomably extra terrestrial. The delayed echo draws attention to the distance, we are so far apart but long to know more about the world beyond the ground we stand on.
An excerpt from a series of conversations had with local residents of Boscombe. How do people experience a place, what is relevant to them, what memories are held and how do they affect our present experience?
