On Wednesday 9th August, the lights went out in our family and time stood still. It’s been a season of adjusting to the aftermath, a season of grieving.

We all have secrets and things that have happened to us. Some of them illicit shame in and on us - shame inflicted by in-despicable human beings. We ALL have a story to tell in this area so let’s tell it. Our silence validates and empowers bad people - our silence brings the shame on others. Speak it! In the process be intentional about being a safe space for your children so they do not have to carry this shame either and alone!

We currently have this new trend of facial enhancements via fillers especially in the ‘community’. I’m trying to make sense of it via rant as I am finding it visually discombobulating (just my sentiments). The removal of these procedures which requires them dissolving into your body can have complications if they end up in your bloodstream. So why are we doing them & are we are of their origins? I welcome conversation around this… Am I the only one questioning this trend?

“ Promise me not to hide yourself when you are in pain, it’s unfair that we laughed together but cried alone” Crying alone and in isolation is a toxic trait - one of mine. Its incredibly lonely and damaging to your relationships/friendships. It is not good to be alone, it is not good to bottle up your emotions on the contrary it is imperative you have people that you can lean on and just be vulnerable with. We all need it as do you, so do not make that grievous mistake of crying alone!

Starting a podcast has been on my agenda for so long, but the perfectionist in me & life’s distractions have always given me a reason not to start… so raw, unscripted & unedited, I record this episode with the intention to start and fail anyway.
