The opening ceremony of the Olympics created massive controversy for multiple reasons. i agree we can't know that this is revival yet and it shouldn't be called that as of yet, and it seems more like a Christian university movement at this time. however, I appreciate that you said we need to avoid the other ditch of judging something based on who attends. especially because the pharisees judged and rejected Christ because he hung out with tax collectors, harlots, and "sinners" (aren't we all). definitely ditches on both sides of the road! we just need to be aware. pray for revival, but be careful not to call it what it possibly isn't or we will water down the gospel and God's message of love AND repentance!

I totally agree with you (except that I'm pretty sure Phil voiced Bob the tomato and Mike voiced Larry the cucumber ;-) ). I think it's worse than you said, though. At first I just thought they were ignorant. However, based on their language and the issues that they were (albeit softly) endorsing, I would call them wolves in sheep's clothing. They are clearly straddling the fence and downplaying the significance of morality. I wouldn't be surprised if one or more of them self-proclaims as progressive within the next year or two. And I really appreciate what you said about youth groups and those who minister to teenagers. Yes, we are at war. The Bible clearly describes our walk with Christ in this way. Thank you for standing up for truth.

Yes, I agree. The cackling and belittling here are not Christ like, and definntely not wise. They are making fun of the very real evil, principalities and imaginations that are threatening and causing a very real, very big falling away.
