We meet Hardcore, Ron, and Charles as they negotiate their day as inmates at United Correctional Facility. And they meet new inmate Jimmy H -- who wants to show everyone how tough he is.

Hardcore and Ron play tug-of-war over advising Jimmy H about getting a tattoo. Charles gets a troubling diagnosis, and Officer Martin gets a bad one too!

While Johnny "Hardcore" Gunn tries to give Charles support, he is not so understanding with Dr. Hernandez who gives him a talking-to about taking care of his diabetes. Officer Martin gets the truth about her exposure to tuberculosis. And Jimmy H decides to stab somebody...

Jimmy H sets himself up for failure with his hand-made blade, Ron gets bad news from home, and Hardcore has a small accident that could lead to big trouble.

The inevitable fight between Ron and "Hardcore" Gunn happens -- and the next thing they know, they're both in Medical. Officer Brandon gives Ron the talking-to somebody should've given him years ago, and Jimmy H hears the cold, hard facts about his tattoo. Meanwhile, Officer Martin gets up in people's faces... whether they like it or not.

It may be too late to help Charles, but Jimmy H and Hardcore are getting second chances. And Officer Martin learns she has a new ally ...!
