Can you think of a time where more major parts of society were challenged like they are now?Because we’re being forced to make changes, it’s worth considering if you want to return to old familiar patterns.Episode Highlights0:20 Something different in today’s episode1:15 This episode is perfect for you if you’re “in a routine”2:40 We’re in a time of unprecedented change4:00 Good reasons why we systemize certain things6:00 Being in a groove can also be a good thing6:50 The two big things in my week that happened at the same time7:50 We’re more dependent on past decisions than we’d like to think8:30 As Joe Dispenza observes, our lives are largely based on past decisions9:40 Why the space shuttle design was based on ancient Roman times14:40 We’re way more dependent on past decisions than we think15:34 Why I changed my podcast after 25 shows16:27 The email that made me reconsider where I might want to live18:40 The two things that caused me to reevaluate what choices I make in life.19:40 Start with small changes20:33 Challenge this week: are there things you can do to vary up your routine?23:00 My process for developing a compelling vision for three years from nowMore On ThorWebsite: thorchallgren.comOn Instagram: @thorchallgrenOn Facebook:
“I have used the Enneagram for eight years in every aspect of my life, and it has moved the needle in all areas of my life, in ways I never would have imagined a decade ago.” That is Tracy O’Malley, my guest on this episode of the “Course Change” podcast.Tracy is multi-million dollar entrepreneur, speaker, and author. I talk with her about how she’s used the Enneagram personality typing process to accelerate transformation, build effective and compassionate leaders and create sustainable and lasting change. When you’re going through change, it’s important to have an understanding of your own strengths and personality. Tools like Meyers-Briggs, the DISC profile, Strength Finder and the Enneagram help you better understand your own innate strengths. As Tracy shares, “It all begins with you. If you can lead yourself and how you show up in the world; if you are coming from a place of truth and love, that is going to radiate out into the world. And the ripple effect of that is you'll start to attract a different kind of people into your life. You'll start to attract a different kind of abundance in your life.”More About TracyWebsite: TracyOMalley.comInstagram: @tracy_omalleyPodcast Episode #56 The Enneagram TypesMore About ThorWebsite: thorchallgren.comOn Instagram: @thorchallgrenOn Facebook:
In this quick tip Friday episode, I talk about how you can use a jar of beach sand (or sugar, or anything you can put in a jar) as a tool to let go of negative, unproductive emotions. If you’ve ever said, "I'm scared," “I’m mad,” or “I’m sad,” you know it can feel like these emotions are all-consuming. It feels like we are that fear, anger or sadness. But are you? Just because you feel something doesn’t mean that’s what you are.Using a simple object like a jar of sand, you can remind yourself that extreme emotions are something you can choose to experience…or let go of.More On ThorWebsite: thorchallgren.comOn Instagram: @thorchallgrenOn Facebook:

In 1990, I was run over by a semi-truck and lived to tell the story. In today's episode, I do share that story and the three revelations I had that day. I also talk about the best meal I've ever had in my life (hint: it came a glass jar.) When you nearly die, you tend to think about the big picture. The events of that day (the main one involving a large truck) led me to think about a lot of things. I gained three valuable perspectives that I carry with me:Ask yourself, does this matter? Remember the big picture.Consider the alternative. I hope you enjoy this episode!More On ThorWebsite: thorchallgren.comOn Instagram: @thorchallgrenOn Facebook:

When one door closes, another opens. With my daughter having returned to college, I've decided to take on a HUGE CHALLENGE. I've begun the 75 Hard Mental Toughness Program created by Andy Frisella. For 75 days straight, you do five things every single day, including what amounts to 90 minutes of workouts. It's not a fitness challenge per se. More of a mindset reset. A chance to reinvent and rediscover who you are, and who you can be.If your identity has been wrapped up in a role that's winding down (you're an empty nester, or just retired) maybe taking on an AUDACIOUS GOAL like this is just the thing to help you develop your new identity. In this episode, I talk about the 75 Hard Program, and also a little thing called the Anthony Robbins fire walk experience, which I've done twice.Follow my 75 Hard progress on Instagram.
