Absolutely! And those who attach their identity to something/someone outside themselves are vulnerable to others who would manipulate that external thing to manipulate those who have attached their identity with it. It's all over the place in pop culture, politics & nationalism, religion, etc. Having the courage to look inward honestly and accepting all aspects of what we see is where freedom lies.

Thank you so much for this episode. Having read Susan Cain's previous books and having those books giving me a feeling of being heard I am excited about reading her new book. I can't pick just one thing out of this episode that resonated most. will listen again and again. Also, what a beautiful hack for setting up the 2-3 hours of writing time. Love it!
