EPISODE DESCRIPTION: Everything changes. Platforms. The Economy. Seasons of Life.  What do you do when these changes block your path in such a way, that no matter how you look at it, you can’t seem to find a path forward? The creative brain is amazing at coming up with infinite options and connections, but sorting through and choosing which options are best and should be focused on is a totally different skill. In this episode we talk to incredible Illustrator and Youtuber Cheyenne Barton, right in the midst of working this stuff out for herself. At the time we talked, Cheyenne was feeling overwhelmed in her practice and I found the vulnerability of this chat to be a real gift. If you’re burnt out or feeling overwhelmed, this snapshot will help you feel less alone in it and may just give you some tools to overcome it! Episode art by Cheyenne Barton and Andy J. Absolutely! And those who attach their identity to something/someone outside themselves are vulnerable to others who would manipulate that external thing to manipulate those who have attached their identity with it. It's all over the place in pop culture, politics & nationalism, religion, etc. Having the courage to look inward honestly and accepting all aspects of what we see is where freedom lies.

Thank you so much for this episode. Having read Susan Cain's previous books and having those books giving me a feeling of being heard I am excited about reading her new book. I can't pick just one thing out of this episode that resonated most. will listen again and again. Also, what a beautiful hack for setting up the 2-3 hours of writing time. Love it!

What a fantastic episode Andy, love the insights in it. Loved the guests. This is the first time I'm listening to your podcast and I came here because of Frannerd. Excited to listen to the other episodes and v v excited to shift my perspective & philosophy rather than focus on a chance lottery price in my art career. Much love.
