I have zero tolerance for people who make false allegations of any type against anyone. That said, I think anyone listening to this would find the BBC drama based on real people and events would benefit from watching 'Three Girls' by the BBC. I have a dog in this fight, my family went to the police when we discovered my 13 year old niece was being groomed, raped and held prisoner in a room above a taxi office in her home town. The police weren't interested, as they said they didn't want to risk upsetting the community. For years people could see what was happening and were powerless to do anything within the law. The press and the police looked the other way. I think this drama and the brave woman it centres on went a long way to burst the dam of indifference and saved countless girls from having their lives ruined.
