I hate it when some stoner says "weed doesn't make you do x" because it doesn't do that to me. We know for a scientific fact that THC can cause breakthrough psychotic symptoms in people who have never experienced psychosis before. Period. Any psychoactive substance as powerful as THC, especially in high concentrations, has the potential to have unpredictable effects in certain individuals. This is all scientifically established and beyond debate.
FWIW, Shell Canyon is out in the middle of the desert, but it's also a fairly well known spot for campers, backpackers, off-roaders, etc. to use as a kind of base of operations or landmark for activities in that area. It's not a place I would pick to try to get rid of a body. There's enough traffic that it would be basically guaranteed to be found sooner rather than later.

Lawrence Taylor never stabbed his teammate, but he did order up underaged prostitutes. Just for the record, Evan Tanner died from heat exposure in the desert in SoCal on a solo camping/off-roading trip. It wasn't a murder. His motorcycle broke down away from his camp and he ran out of water in 118 degree heat. Unfortunately he died before he could make it back to his camp where he had plenty of water and supplies.
