His family hasn’t been able to properly mourn (nor has Karen Read) and this is a horrible place for a family to be.There are kids involved. John O’Keefe was the guardian and main caregiver to his niece and nephew that in no way asked for or deserved to be at the center of this nightmare. Send a message to the showThis is the follow-up to the last two episodes. When I say "stranger than fiction" I mean it's so weird that you cannot make this shit up, yet lots of info shared online is just that, made up. He's the boy in the walls. That's part of the story. But what is the story? Like most cases I research for the show, it's never what it appears on the surface. EP 58 | The Pepperell Prequel & The True Story of The Bowen Family Nightmare, Pepperell, Massachusetts

Send a message to the showThis is a bizarre case, not only for what happened to a Massachusetts family in the privacy of their home, but also how their story was reshaped and retold by urban legend and lore. Sweaty_Toothed_Madman

As a New Englander, and a fan of true crime, I thoroughly enjoy Anngelle's story telling and respect for those involved. Her recanting of local stories is on point from her buildup in the first couple minutes of the podcast including a roundup of trivia from the city where the event happened. Every story told has been researched and doublechecked and rechecked to be sure the victims' stories are being told with care and respect. The guests which appear in the show are relevant to every story and offer a great amount of "behind the scene" information which you cannot get even with the massive amount of research that Anngelle has collected. Her "radio-ness" shines keeping her talking from becoming uninteresting or boring. In the sea of local true crime pods, this one is one of the best available.
