I loved Dirty John but Frank Carson's story was told in such a haphazard way that I still have no idea how these people became suspects. I was frequently confused listening to it.

Had I been on the jury, I would have immediately made my decision for the defense, based solely on the way Prosecutor Ferrera speaks.

11year old Chad heard that his mom was killed by his dad - and one of the first things he allegedly said to his grandmother was "Abraham Lincoln didn't have a mom and look what he turned out to be"? Once you start listening to Arlene's stories, it gets clearer by the minute why Debra is the way she is... her daughters may be weird / arrogant but at least they seem to possess common sense and aren't as fixated on a man's approval as their mother is. Guess they can thank their nannies for that.

Deb already had 4 divorces under her belt - and she marries this guy she barely knows, who is intent on driving a wedge between her and her family, right from the start?! How desperate for intercourse can you possibly be... I find it hard to muster up any pity, especially when I hear her fake laugh, sorry.

Congratulations to everyone in these comments on never having been the victim of coercive control! Here’s hoping you never end up with a guy like John, who is, you seem to have forgotten, the actual villain.
