Description

Welcome to Crimetown, a series produced by Marc Smerling and Zac Stuart-Pontier in partnership with Gimlet Media. Each season, we investigate the culture of crime in a different city. In Season 2, Crimetown heads to the heart of the Rust Belt: Detroit, Michigan. From its heyday as Motor City to its rebirth as the Brooklyn of the Midwest, Detroit’s history reflects a series of issues that strike at the heart of American identity: race, poverty, policing, loss of industry, the war on drugs, and our universal desire for a savior. Detroit’s a tough town, and its residents are even tougher. They’ve weathered riots, a drug epidemic, political scandal, and innumerable other hardships, but they’re still here—and they have stories to tell.

HAHAHA Kwami thinks Obama "dis'd" him. what a delusional piece of shit. he didn't let you out b/c you are guilty and deserve to be in jail. you weren't part of 'zero tolerance'you moron - 3rd time in prison isn't zero times in prison. you have the logic of someone with mental illness. and stop playing the race card it's pathetic nobody's buying it. every mayor is corrupt in some way. kwami is corrupt to the point where the feds couldn't help but notice - he was too brazen. just own up to being a dumb ass man who is not sane enough to stay out of jail

kwami kilpatrick - the story of one of the dumbest mother effers to ever hold public office. shows how much of a s hole detroit is too. season 1 way better. this guy is so full of shit he wouldn't last a second in a real city like Boston on NYC. he says he doesn't want to talk about specifics on the case and then gives a long canned speech without saying anything of substance. just a used car salesman who was too much of a dumb shit to stay out of prison. what a loser

Beatty is disgusting. I'm not prone to judge anyone, but that's the only exception. As for me, she should have been judged much harsher.

Crimetown just isn't as good as the first season. I loved the idea of following one story in depth through the backdrop of a city. This series seems scattered.
