We've been lacking in call ins with tech questions the last few recordings. This one is a meandering conversation about the wealth of info on IH8Mud, the capabilities of the new Cruiser, the effects of online auctions on Cruiser pricing and quality, and a bit on editing.
This weeks episode is a bit on the shorter side. We only had two callers. We discuss the issue of 80 Series factory locker rear axle twisting, as well as the downsides of modern advanced safety features. IF you've got Cruiser questions. Tune in Friday evenings at 8PM EST for the live recordings on the podbean app. https://www.podbean.com/lsw/72eD6TL1Hyj?lsid=bYpyxt2jI7p
I didn't think about the fact that it would be Valentines Day when I set the time to record this one. We ended up having one caller though. Chris and I had a meandering conversation ranging from franken 2F/3F combos, turbos, air fuel meters, the state of the old vehicle hobby, and then ended with lamenting the loss of the old school trade shops.
Tonight's chat was much closer to what I'd hoped chat could be when I started. We have several awesome people call in with questions. With any luck we can keep the callers coming and make this a regular thing.
On this episode we discussed valve burning issues on 2F engines as well as just the general nuances of old vehicle ownership. We also talked a bit about wide band air fuel meters. My hope is that as more people start tuning in, we'll get more live questions coming in.
I realized I got ahead of things recording and releasing the first episode without explaining the concept of the show. Hopefully this episode does a good job of that. I set up an email to take in write in questions. otrammcruiserchat@gmail.com. I'll get the next live "taping" scheduled shortly. I'm still trying to find a time that works well for the majority of listeners and my schedule. Thanks for tuning in. Want to help support the channel? This is our inaugural podcast. We only had two callers on this one, but it was a great proof of concept. Planning to do a regular call in Question and answer session about Toyota Land Cruisers. I'll post the time and date for the next one as soon as I get the schedule nailed down. There's also a video version of this episode on the OTRAMM YouTube Channel.
