171: Impact

One of the great and important things we can realize for ourselves — and help our kids to realize — is the impact we each have on others. Depression and anxiety is at an all-time high … people feel isolated and alone … and we KNOW that a kind word or action from someone can literally change someone else’s life for the better. We each have the responsibility to treat everyone in our sphere of influence with kindness and respect — and teaching that responsibility to our children not only empowers them to positively impact the lives of those around them, but also increases their own capacity for love.
SPONSOR: Visit shinecosmetics.com and enter code BECKY at checkout to save at least 10% off your order.
SHOW NOTES:
“Never suppress a generous thought” –Camilla E. The “Getting Clear On Your Role As A Parent” episode, I found to be pretty insightful as it explains to parents that they don’t have the formula for what will make their children successful. Nobody aside from the individual themselves has the formula for their own success. From that, you have to safely let your children fail on their own and let them successfully get back up by finding what works for them. Great podcast!!
