In this episode of CTU your hosts, Cass & Talya share how building a hairstylist community can help you enforce policies, promote yourself, get you out of a slump!! Working in the beauty industry is so social: interacting with clients, being extremely active on social media for marketing, customer service, etc, BUT beauty professionals tend to neglect their REAL social lives. You know, the ones with genuine connections that aren’t built on someone paying you for a service😅 What if we told you you’re in a slump because you don’t have enough hairstylist friends? nail tech friends? esthetician friends? Beauty pros are finding themselves lonely, especially in the age of micro salons & salon suites. Taking control of your own business does not have to mean isolation. Take a listen to this super helpful episode & let us know what you think!Follow Us:IG: @curltalkunfilteredpodcastTT: @curltalkunfilteredpodIG, TT, & YT: @cass_hairstylistIG: @talyajadehairTT & YT: @talyajade

Welcome back to CTU, in this very chatty episode Cass & Talya are catching up on what all they’ve been up to this summer! Fighting the burnout scaries with travel, Talya’s visiting her hyper fixation city (ATX) & Cass has just come back from a 2 week visit to Missouri! Yes, hairstylists get burnout too lol. Which by the way, hairstylists can move cities too, & we get into that topic on this episode, never be scared to move to somewhere just because you’ll have to build a clientele! Oh, & Cass taught a couple education classes on her trip & we get all the details about that! This episode wraps up on staying motivated with your social media as a hairstylist :) We hope you enjoy this, a little all over the place, episode 😌Follow Us:IG: @curltalkunfilteredpodcastTT: @curltalkunfilteredpodIG, TT, & YT: @cass_hairstylistIG: @talyajadehairTT & YT: @talyajade
Hi! Welcome back to CTU :) We think this episode is covering a pretty relevant topic in the beauty industry right now. We are in an era of extreme accountability when it comes to how quickly word can travel online. Every client who sits in your chair could be one viral video away from affecting your business, and what does that mean for hairstylists? We are also in a time period where, easier than before, hairstylists have direct lines to each other, which means we are pretty emboldened to update our policies to match those like the hairstylists we see online, but does what works for one person work for all hairstylists? We think conversations like these need to happen sooner than later so we can start to mend the internet relationship of hairstylists & clients! Everything we’re sharing in this episode is strictly opinion & we hope to spark respectful conversation in the comments with people with all different view points & experiences! Let us know what you think :)Follow Us :)IG, YT: @curltalkunfilteredpodcastTT: @curltalkunfilteredpodIG, TT, YT: @cass_hairstylistIG: @talyajadehairTT, YT: @talyajade
Are you thinking about investing significant money into your next education class? Have you learned from some amazing educators, & some not-so-amazing educators? Have clients started asking you for a specific certified cut? This episode is for you! Cass & breakdown their previous experiences with different types of education, what they’re looking for in future classes, & of course a lot more! What are your thoughts on this topic? For me, I wonder if clients have an idea of how much money is invested into our education, I wish educators put out some sort of sample of their course or level system because so often the classes are so base level, & Im passionate about affordable education being available to people in rural areas not just major cities!
