Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny came and flopped. Gabe hated it, John didn't - so we thought we needed to talk about it even if we were very late to the non-party. The comparisons with Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull are to be expected, so we thought we would go into those. Clearly, we both belong in a museum.
Continuing with our trend to review movies a few months after they opened, now we'll be talking about Pixar's Elemental (2023). Resisting the urge to criticize a children's film.
Gabe pushed John to watch more John Carpenter. Today: They Live (1988). Let's talk about it!
We wanted to review something different this week, so Gabe made John watch that weird Power Rangers reunion. Why did we like this as kids?
Hard to believe that Denzel Washington and Tony Scott's "Man on Fire" came out 19 years ago. It was (justifiably) trending on Twitter a couple of weeks ago, so we decided to revisit it.
We're doing a Van Damme double feature today! "Street Fighter" came out in 1994 and, well, it wasn't good. But is it as bad as they say?
Let's review Jean Claude Van Damme's 1988 classic, "Bloodsport". Did it inspire Mortal Kombat? Does it feature Van Damme's best splits? Is Forest Whitaker in it? Let's talk about it.
Well, for some reason, none of us had ever seen Bruce Lee's "Enter the Dragon". Let's talk about it.
Roland Emmerich directs James Spader and Kurt Russell in this cheesy, incredibly fun sci-fi adventure that just seems like the kind of movie we love to see.
Let's review the first episode of season 3!
Today, we review one of Peter Jackson's pre-Lord of the Rings films: Brain Dead. The film was released as "Dead Alive" in the U.S., and we're not sure what title we like more, because they're both great and also incredibly accurate.
Today, we dive into David Cronenberg's 1986 body horror classic, "The Fly". It was a first watch for both of us, so we can't say we weren't surprised to hear that Jeff Goldblum's voice has been the same for almost 30 years or that Geena Davis was in ANOTHER great movie. Let's talk about it!
Welcome to our new channel! This week, we'll be reviewing 90's action-packed Jean-Claude Van Damme starrer: Universal Soldier. The great Dolph Lundgren is also in it!
It took Gabe a month to get caught up with The Last of Us, but here we are. Let's review most of the show, but mostly Episode 7: Left Behind. More Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey!
This was such a great start for the new series. Let's talk about it!
We loved The Menu, it was so good. Tune in to watch us talk about it.
Phew, we're finally done with this. At least, it was great to see Warwick Davis come back.
So, Willow is definitely a show that exists. How can we talk about it without losing our sanity?
We are not afraid to say that we loved Violent Night, so let's talk about it. It's not an 80s movie, but it was more than good enough.
We both love Willow because of its 80s dark fantasy tone, and Disney of course had to use the IP to create something new. Is it worth watching?
