News: Weeklyteers who have younger children, or just love Austrailian kids shows, will be happy to hear that Bluey is coming to Disneyland in 2026! Bluey and her sister Bingo will be on stage in the Fantasyland Theatre, along with some comedic actors and musicians, to bring music and games from the Bluey show to life. This time, we get the entire year of events! The first of the announcements is that the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration will run through August 9th, 2026. All of the 70th entertainment will return in January. This includes “The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade,” “Wondrous Journeys” nighttime spectacular, “Paint the Night” parade, and Mickey, Minnie, and the gang in their 70th attire. – https://disneyparksblog.com/dlr/disneyland-resort-2026-calendar-events-and-offers/ Starting January 23rd through February 22nd, Lunar New Year will return to Disney California Adventure. 2026 is the Year of the Horse, so Horace Horsecollar will be appearing during the festivity. Anaheim Ducks players, and Wild Wing will be making appearances throughout the day. Moving into March, the 6th sees the return of the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival, which runs through April 27th. The new Soarin’ Across America premieres just in time to celebrate the 4th of July. Isabela and Luisa have been meeting and greeting in Plaza de la Familia. The gingerbread house this year took 720 hours to create with 530 pounds of gingerbread, 480 pounds of powdered sugar, 60 pounds of fondant, 45 pounds of dark chocolate, 40 pounds of white chocolate, and 32 pounds of rice cereal treats. News: Disneyland After Dark is coming back for 2026, with a new nite, along with some returning popular nites. New for 2026 will be Disneyland After Dark 70 Years of Favorites, which Disney describes as “weaving together the best of Disneyland happenings, including nods to favorite musical moments, shows, and characters.” Returning nites include Sweetheart’s Nite, Disney Channel Nite, Star Wars Nite, and Pride Nite. Sweetheart’s Nite will take place on 9 nights from late January to February 17th, with a new “Celebrate Love Cavalcade” and “Once Upon a Dream – A Musical Journey Through the Disney Songbook” featuring live singers and Disney royalty that ends with a ball underneath the stars. 70 Years of Favorites will take place on March 3rd and 5th, and feature swing dancing at Royal Theatre in Fantasyland, a Videopolis Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace, line dancing at The Golden Horseshoe, sentimental photo opportunities, and characters from days gone by. Tickets for both these events go on sale for Magic Key holders on December 9th, with general ticket sales starting on December 11th. Disney Channel Nite will take place on April 12th, 14th, and 16th, Star Wars Nite will span 4 dates on April 28th, April 30th, May 4th, and May 6th. It is Life Day. For the last several years, Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge has celebrated this event. A new gold and blue key design has been added as a 10th pin available through the experience. Mark Rober dropped eggs off the Millennium Falcon to teach families how to make contraptions to save their eggs from cracking. Chef Amaury Guichon did a live chocolate-making demo, Doctor Mike built a lightsaver, and San & Colby rode Haunted Mansion. News: It is that time of year again when prices go up at the Disneyland Resort. This time, the lowest price, one park, one day ticket has stayed the same, but the highest level one park, one day ticket has increased from $206 to $224. Overall, tickets increased from $3 to $18. Magic Key Holders also saw increases. The Imagine Key went up $150, with the Believe Key going up $100. Parking went up $5 to $40, with preferred parking now at $60. As The Little Mermaid float made its way towards the hub from it’s a small world, had a power issue and stopped on the route. As it was being towed backstage through the hub, a complication with the brakes led to visible smoke coming from the vehicle. Guests and performers were moved away from the area and the Disneyland Fire Department took care of it. The Experiences division, which includes theme parks and cruise ships, was the stand out for the company, bringing in double what the Entertainment division, which is made up of movies, streaming, and TV, brought in. The Entertainment numbers were $2.516 billion vs $1.02 billion for entertainment. Overall, the company is doing well, with entertainment needing to come around. News: Weeklyteers who are big Lorcana fans can soon participate in a Collection Quest at Disney California Adventure. The Beast’s Library area of the Animation Building will host the quest starting on August 29th. Illumineers will be given a specific quest and will need to assemble the cards to complete the mission. Players may need to trade cards to complete missions. The quest is not limited to the Animation Academy, that is just where the quest will be activated for players.
