One of the best quotes about rugby ever said on this podcast came from Cristian Sarmento. When I interviewed him back in June 2020, he said, “Rugby will take you anywhere and it will put you in contact with good people.” That’s true because that is how I met Cristian Sarmento.  The Denver rugby community received some bad news over the weekend as Cristian Sarmento passed away early Friday morning. That old interview has been downloaded about 40 times since the news of Cristian’s passing, so I wanted to bump it up to the top of the feed and include the details of his service. Memorial Services will be held at Westwoods Community Church on Friday, February 9th at 4:00 PM. There will be a potluck following the ceremony. Westwoods Community Church 7700 W. Woodward Drive Lakewood, CO 80227 Please send any donations to the Colorado Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Club, or the Concussion Legacy Foundation. Rest in Peace, Scarly.
