We discuss its backstory and reimagine a live album from the decades which followed the original release.

Slash Book Review:

2024-01-1301:05:57

Released in 2007 Slash's autobiography was highly anticipated as it was the first ever book from a band member to be released. It worked as both rock memoir and first hand account of the band's history. Slash aimed to set the record straight at the time regarding the demise of GN'R. Did it get us any closer to understanding the man beneath the top hat? All these years later how does it stack up against the other member's books? We discuss.
A retrospective conversation to end the year. The 2023 tour, Lighthouse, The Monster & General leaks, the trivial, the humerous and those ugly lawsuits that emerged late in the year.
The cracks had been appearing as far back as 1989 within the band. The next few years would see the band lose it's founding members and begin a long period of power struggles and cold relations. It would ultimately result in finger pointing in the media for many years afterwards. It was a dark era for Guns N'Roses and one in which it seemed like a resolution would never emerge. We delve deep into this fascinating period of the bands history.
Quick hit reaction to 'The General' finally getting it's official release.

Released in 2011 Duff McKagan's 'It's So Easy & other lies' is perhap's the best read of all the GN'R related books out there. It's an amazing comeback story from the depths of addiction. It offer's a very insightful look into GN'R's rise to fame followed by the band's collapse. Written at a time when he had eventually mended fences with Axl Rose it's both an inspiring tale and a frightenignly cautious one. We chat about why we thought it was the best of the bunch.
