Description
Talk Radio...from some Gen Xer's who grew up during the 90's in NYC. The guys on here repped Hip-Hop as an aspiring rap group then known as Skillz Row but now they are known as... Da Bodega w/DJ S!D and the P.A.B. - Hip Hop talk on the real. Hating on the current and not as ignorant as you would think!
Clowning news, playing REAL HIP HOP a mix by DJ S!D every so often), schooling those on the hip hop facts, wrestling (PAB used to be a pro-wrestler), comic books, movies, and generally embarassing ourselves. We take calls and have guest every so-often!
So come and listen to the fun…it ain’t polished but it’s entertaining!
We try to be LIVE at least twice a month (but no promises).

FINALLY...they make it to 50 shows!!!
Another attempt to fill you in on hip hop going ons, hating on the mainstream and ignorant, and pretty much deconstruction our own lives in front of the masses!
Basically another night at Da Bodega! What else you expect?
2/3 of the crew (P.A.B. & Monk) are back looking to keep calling out all the phonies and hating on probably everything this generation considers "hip".
This Episode...
- How soon is too soon to show a young'un "The Predator"
- The Penn State debacle and fines
- MMG artist Gunplay is a Nazi?
- Busta on Young Money
- Redman's auto-tune
- The Lateef Watkins Show?!?!?!
Another silly one folks! Enjoy!
The guys who love to spew venom at current hip hop are back.
Without any pre-planning it's the silliest show in quite a while!
We talked Run DMC & Leaders of the New School reunions (YES), Monk asked who's Stevie J, our new mixes shows on another server, & Kobe thinking the current Dream Team best the '92 squad.
Find out what impact the Crooklyn Dodgers have on us, BRAND NEW Masta Ace x MF Doom track, and how the "Hoff", David Hasselhoff himself, has women (and our dumb asses at the end of this) acting a fool over his latest endorsement!
You will think we are on some sh*t at the end of this one!
PAB and featured player, Monk are back for 30 minutes (plus some) as they still are working out the kinks of the show and clowning crappy hip hop while bigging up the little heard stuff and playing out the ignorant folks!
Tonight... gay rappers in hip hop? (Yes, we are talking about the Frank Ocean relevations)
We also discussed the lack of fireworks in the streets on July 4th, Camp Lo, Busta Rhymes potentially being a hypocrit, and fat bitches having marathon sex!
The guys are back (with new featured player Monk) for 30 minutes of the randomness of conversation that can only happen at a Bodega! (plus another 15 that happened OFF AIR!)
We talk about P.A.B.'s wedding, why we should care about Chris Brown getting whooped by Drake, how a thug can survive gunshots but get dropped by a country ass Mack track, white guilt, and we continue to support Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg in his efforts to support the "real" hip hop and call out hypocrisy (Lil Wayne anyone?)
Plus we play 17 year year old Joey Bada$$ "Survival Tatics" (kids NICE!)
DA BODEGA IS BACK...kinda? P.A.B. is back with guest host Monk (of indy group Beatniks) trying to restart the movement that the boys started a few years ago (yes it's been that long)!
We talked about Nicki Minaj's selling out, what Rakim stated that is akin to what Nicki does, Spanish ppl and Suavemente, "Good Hair", and we even did at least 10 mins of OT talking about Reality TV, misrepresentation of minorities, and Barney Miller!
WE DID HAVE THE SHOW SYSTEM CRASH...there was a technical glitch from the 6:00 min mark to 10:20 before we got it back under control. In that we do play the new Pacewon & Mr. Green Track "My God" (which is some good damn hip-hop)
Hopefully next week we'll do it again
Hating on the current but not as ignorant as you may think!
P.A.B. FINALLY returns in a 30 min episode to just address whats been going on, what's taken so long, and what the future may bring for the show.
What does 1 talk about on a Saturday afternoon after Black Friday? We're about to find out!
We play new Eminem/Royce & Jay-Z/Kanye.
We discuss the changing looks of Sid & PAB, radio business & hip hop stations, a new supergroup on the scene, is Nelly goin at Em, and frequent guest, Eric Adamz calls in...and leaves in a true 1 of a kind fashion
We are back just trying to get back into the swing of things in an impromtu show. Enjoy!
PAB is once again riding solo in the episode meant more for podcasters.
Got into some classic hip hop from Doow Wop Da Bouncemaster, New Eminem with Slaughterhouse, more hate for Rick Ross and a new track by a new unsigned dude, D-Hustle called "Like my crew" (www.Myspace.com/dhustle187).
Plus a surprise call from Warriors of Wrestling promoter, Joey B! He calls to check in with PAB ,ask what exactly goes down at Da Bodega, where Eric Adamz is now, and his own radio show & upcoming wrestling shows.
PAB brings back "Da Bodega" show after a 4 month break. DJ Sid will not be present due to personal reasons, but he will return soon.
In this return summer episode, we had a guest, House music producer & DJ, Max Martinez who discussed his take on the "DJ" & hip-hop nowadays, and his new ventures with his own online mix site, www.BSP.org & his digital EP's (remember EP's!). Hell...HE EVEN HUNG FOR AN EXTRA 30 MINUTES THAT THE LIVE LISTENERS DID NOT HEAR!
Of course random hate was spewed as PAB has plenty for the "online ignorant chicken heads", we had a caller to clarify his statements, a bunch of 90's St. Ides & Sprite ads (YES, the Grand Puba one) and is Drake all that? Plus is PAB "official" as a writer now, as he claims?
Please check out www.BSP.org for house mixes by DJ Max Martinez & his crew
PAB & DJ SID are back (finally) with a brand new show (doing the same ol crap) including the rumored return of an old "character" (yup, we never get new sh*t). What happened? Who will callrd? What did PAB now say? Will Sid become Hip Hop's version of Wolf Blitzer? Did the guys secretly sh*t in Lil Wayne's luggage?
We talked about things we had going on since the Holiday break, PAB talks about his family experience at a Brooklyn bodega, crackheads, is Drake over exposed, the most anticipated albums of 2010, Sean Price, and the return of a Skillz Row character, Po Pimp Pappy P!
Also Eric Adamz called in and hung out, discussing an upcoming show in Virginia, how bad TNA has started off, and Awesome Kong vs Bubba the Love Sponge.
PAB and the return of DJ SID hitting ya with a surprise show on Christmas day!
We talked about our feelings towards Hot 97 now-a-days, our opinions on albums of the year, are there any new X-Mas movie classics, plus a BNN report and how DJ Sid is crushing on Sade. We played a REAL old school Hip Hop Christmas track (NO, not Run DMC) and a unreleased demo from Souls of Mischief!
Ok...P.A.B. is back, by himself, just to try to get in one show before Christmas. While DJ SID is inebriated from coquito, PAB will be talking a lil bit, goofing on strange news stories, and playing NEW Hip Hop, rare unreleased old school, and maybe, just maybe, a festive tune!
We played a rare "Rampage" demo without Erick Sermon, full remixes of both Alicia Key's "Empire State of NY" & Snoop's "I Wanna Rock", and the BNN report (complete with new intro music) about guys f'n horses , how to be found guilty for being hit by a car and the NEW Christmas classics get played!
All that and Ed McMahon joins the show!
After a longer than expected break, PAB comes back solo (for now) for a special 30 min show of hip hop and quick news bits just to remind everyone that "Da Bodega" ain't going nowhere!
Just something to hold over our fans until we get back on track with new Episodes...
Listen to some clips from last year when we started, hear some new hip hop, PLUS an exclusive DJ S!D Old School Mini Mix.
Check it out and please "come again!"
As of press time, PAB will do a special late night episode solo (while DJ Sid is attending to personal issues) with non other than indy wrestler TIM ARSON!!! (aka ECW's "Zombie")
Anything can be expected as wrestling, and just the crazy crap in life, will be discussed! What can two broken down, immature guys who now have family discuss...this could be scary.
PAB has some sh*t to get off his chest before the good ol fun comes back w/Sid next show...
He briefly discusses why the delay this time between shows, why he's really mad, how a ghetto can NOT prepare you for the 'burbs, hate thy neighbors kids, and how he wants to become the new Rican Tony Robbins!
Plus Eminem's "Warning" to Mariah and we visit Tanya Morgan's Brooklynati "Bang Boogie"!
YES! DJ S!D and P.A.B. are back with what they hope will be a special for all our fans who like hearing about how it is as a indy wrestler. We touched on it w/Eric Adamz but now...
We had on, formally of TNA's LAX, Ricky "Machete" Vega!!!
In quite possibly the most candid interview we have ever done you hear EXACTLY how it is to strive to make it as pro-wrestler as Ricky talks about trying to make it in the WWE (and his issue w/Johnny Ace and friendship w/Eddie Guerrero & D'Von Dudley), how he got in TNA and what went wrong, his try-out match in MSG, his friendship with Matt Striker, and why he quite wrestling and how it impacted his family. This is only PART 1!!!!
Plus we do talk a lil hip-hop, play new Slaughterhouse, and talked about how the word "MIDGET" is the new "N" word?!?!? REALLY???
DJ S!D & the P.A.B. return to bitching & moaning about hip-hop, what they miss about it, and all assorted going ons. In fact KNUT calls in to give his input on a few of the topics!
Plus PAB going in on the definition of real hip-hop (and how it relates to disco), was Drake's video the "best we ever saw", all the Jay-Z hate (beef) lately, and is or isn't he jacking Buckshot/KRS-One?!?!? The heated debate raged on!
