Hey, Dad, one of the things that came to us as we were studying Abraham was, is it ok to tell a lie? There are, of course, multiple Bible verses that tell us not to lie. In fact, some plainly state how much God dislikes it. This is where we wonder why Abraham lied about his wife, or even Rahab, who we will meet later, lies, and they actually receive favor because of that. So this week, we are finding out if we can lie and under what circumstances it is ok. We would love to hear your perspective as well and have a healthy conversation together. Also, if you could do us a huge favor and hit subscribe, we would greatly appreciate it. #liar #faith #lies #truth #honesty #dad2dad

On this week's podcast, we are diving into everything. We just wrapped up Holy Week and had Easter. On Easter, some strange things happened in the world. We had a former president pushing for the sale of a Bible and a current President acknowledging a letter of the alphabet soup day. So you know what, we will have to talk about it. Not because we want to necessarily but because we are obligated to do so since we are in the Christian niche. Our take may upset many, but we believe it is how Jesus wants us to handle things. We will also talk about biblical laziness and what version of the Bible you should be reading from. What are your thoughts from KJV on the Message commentary? Let us know below.
It's our last day of Holy Week. It's also known as the most somber. Why? It's the one where Jesus dies. What we come to realize through our conversation is this is also the day we are given full access to our creator. Join us as we walk through the day and what all we discover.
Welcome to the third episode of Dad 2 Dad during Holy Week, where we delve into the importance of rest. If you've been yearning for a rejuvenating nap, now's the perfect opportunity to seize it! Join us as we unwind.
In addition to our reflections on rest, we're diving into the electrifying world of WrestleMania! Tune in to discover who we're rooting for and whether we'd allow our own kids to partake in the excitement.

Discover the story of the prodigal son and his bitter brother, and ask yourself which one you resonate with more. Are you the one who strays or the one who stays? Watch this video to reflect on your own journey and see what lessons you can learn from this biblical parable.
Its day two of our podcast, and day two of Holy Week. We start by talking about how Ben has been fighting an illness and how we think the Mike Tyson Jake Paul fight will end up and is there really a winner. We wrap up talking our favorite parable from Jesus and cause some reflection as to wich son we are? The bitter one or the one returning with a stunning revelation from the fathers perspective on both.

Well, here we are, the inaugural Dad 2 Dad podcast. This has been in the works longer than we have thought about doing this show. Ryan, a Pastor, Husband, and Dad, brings his perspective through being a foster parent to his children. While Ben is a ministry student, their Husband and dad's children are all biological. Each week, we will come together and do what Dads do and talk. We will talk about our highlights, our struggles, and how our kids tried to battle against us each week. We are also excited to announce that we will highlight a Super Dad or Super Kid each week, maybe both. We were making a space for these men to be recognized and shouted out. We aim to create a community where this is normal with how we treat one another. The last thing were going to do is tallk It's how God has led us throughout our week and life. Sometimes, what we learn is too good not to share with others. So ensure you are subscribed, and please do us a favor as we get going. Help us get these guys that need to be recognized. Help us be something different. Help us grow!

In this conversation, Ben and Lauren discuss various topics, including their recent experiences with Christmas communion, moving, planning a Disney vacation, and dealing with the bankruptcy of a company they were involved with. They also talk about the challenges of being pastors and parents, and the joy they find in raising their children. The conversation ends with a discussion about the trend of dual income, no kids (DINK) and the unique challenges of parenting Jesus as a child. Have you ever struggled with burnout? We both have and in this video were going to share some wise teachings we learned on this topic and how it changed our perspective on the whole meaning burnout.
Takeaways
*Family traditions like Christmas communion can be meaningful and help reflect on the past year.
*Moving can be challenging, but it's important to trust in God's timing and guidance.
*It's important to find a balance between work and family life, and to prioritize intentional time with loved ones.
*Being a parent is a rewarding experience, and witnessing the growth and development of children brings great joy.

It has officially been one year since we launched our podcast across all platforms including YouTube. What has happened in the past year has been a lot. We have moved started new jobs and we are now re focusing on what this podcast is going to focus on. To be honest the vision early on was just introduce those who may have never heard the Bible pick one up which if you don’t have one we will gladly get you one. What I have come to realize now though is living a Christian life and sharing that life with each other is just as important. So that is what we will be doing. Don’t worry we will still read scripture when God gives us that nudge but for the most part, we are going to share our week the ups and downs and sometimes downright comical things that we encounter. I mean were raising two children and they bring on a whole entertainment factor on their own. So I want to thank you for sticking it out with us and hope you continue to do so, Ill ask because it’s our birthday and I get a wish is that you would share this platform with someone new, maybe they are a believer maybe they are not. If they are someone who wants to talk and dive into being a better husband, dad, or friend were going to hit on all that a lot more than we have before. Were also going to be working on setting up some live sessions where we can have your questions or perspectives shared soon so make sure your friends don’t miss what you have to share on your heart either. Thanks for following.

We built a Lego centerpiece with over 800 pieces on this week's show at 28:00. As well as introducing the show's new co-host. We have in-depth conversations about what scripture tells us about holding our tongue and why Legos are better than puzzles. To add more context, we talk about what a bit is for a horse around the eight-minute mark, why they are essential, and how a captain steers a ship. This is truly one of our best conversations, and we hope you will give the whole thing a listen and subscribe. If you need a Bible, just let us know in the comments and show your most recent Lego build. Next time, our co-host will try and complete a puzzle within the length of the show. You won't want to miss it.
