I don’t understand why we need dark matter to explain spiral galaxies. Seems very simple to me the arms have become gravitationally locked and they are pulling arms along much like spinning a rope round in a circle. How far does our sun gravity hold influence? What’s furthest object that’s orbiting us? I can see things being spread out just enough so gravity just keeps hold. Anyway I expect simple explanation make me look stupid

Do you guys ever wonder if astronomical objects like black holes or even stars aren't intelligent? As Daniel said, intelligence may be difficult to define, let alone understand. some sometimes I think that we are being deceived by our own nature thinking that out human nature as a model somehow. maybe it's the exception.

Worst part of this potcast is the frequent and lengthy advertisement, blaring at several decibels above the podcast volume level. Worse than annoying, bordering the harassment.

Wow, particle physics doesn't even make his top 3 for funding. Who'd have thought 😄
