This hugely enjoyable and informative third episode of our 2022 informal business conversations is with Johan Vanderplaetse, Senior Vice-President, Industrial Automation, Schneider Electric.
We started with a discussion of the Russian market and what Johan’s company has experienced: fascinating insights. The rest and majority of our discussion revolved around global business trends and key drivers of business in EMEA but also China. Johan went into depth on topics of supply chain, digitalisation strategy, logistics and localisation which, of course, are all key, critical issues facing all of us.

Wolfram’s family company has been in business for more than 500 years (Yes, you read that sentence correctly) so Wolfram is well able to look at the long-term picture. He shared his experiences and how his company had coped with the business environment in the last 18 months and before that. One of his balanced themes was that perhaps not that much had changed (nothing naïve here and well aware of significant changes but makes the valid point that a lot does stay the same).
