Disney updated the show with new camera shots and a new narration featuring Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy. I present some info and the attraction audio.  Incidentally, the new version of the Canada song was performed by Eva Avila, a Québécois. I take a look back a the history of Sue at Animal Kingdom.  Its an interesting tale that moved the preparation to the Animal Kingdom.   You can watch my lost and found story about it below: View the episode A blog about the fossil prep lab: http://preplounge.blogspot.com/2009/12/this-day-in-paleontology-history.html --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/daves-disney-view/message
I give you my perspective on the “state of the franchise” now that we’ve reached the end of the new trilogy. There are some spoilers in here but this is more my general feelings about where it stands, than it is about one movie. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/daves-disney-view/message
I had a chance to visit again last week, and wanted to talk about my experiences, what I saw, share some thoughts, and bring you along. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/daves-disney-view/message

Dave is back to answer your disney questions. Traveling over the summer, sorcerers of the magic kingdom, the chicken exit from attractions, fireworks, and more! I’ve got a few nuggets tucked in here as well. https://thesorcerersapp.wordpress.com/how-to-play-sorcerers-of-the-magic-kingdom/ --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/daves-disney-view/message
I made a recent trip to the parks and I’m here to break it down. I’ve got 4 parts - food & wine, the disney skyliner, galaxys edge, and some thoughts about construction. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/daves-disney-view/message
On this episode, I tell the tale of the visit by John Lennon to Walt Disney World, during which the Beatles were dissolved.  Its a tale that doesn't get enough press, and I thought I'd share it.   You can check out the video I made in my Lost & Found Series:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hm8tDZj120U May Pang's photos can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/Instamatic-Karma-Photographs-John-Lennon/dp/B002N2XEJC --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/daves-disney-view/message
Disney has a complex media empire.  I take a look at a couple of items in the news that caught my attention that bring that mind.  It includes some lawsuits, Star Wars, Spider Man, and more.  Plus I take a look at Freeform TV and explore its history. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/daves-disney-view/message
I didn't attend D23, but I got all the updates...and I have some thoughts about it all.  Epcot is about to undergo a major overhaul, and while I think its "needed," it changes the very nature of the park.  Plus, there were plenty of other updates that I talk about.  I hope I don't come off as negative - I have strong feelings about the legacy and history, and I feel like the company isn't about that anymore...   Of course, I'm still interested in the history and that's why I started this YouTube Channel! I was in the Orlando area last week, and made an effort to see Galaxy's Edge - but it didn't work out (sadly).  I talk about my time in the area, and about Star Wars Galaxy's Edge - and the emphasis on the newer episodes.  I have a theory about why this is, and it is really just a guess.  Thought I'd share my thoughts. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/daves-disney-view/message
For the first 25 years the Disney World Resort was open, they had an AM radio station (several actually) that broadcast information about the resort - from park hours to special events to things to do.  I talk about the broadcast, and play some clips for you.  Hope you enjoy! http://feeds.feedburner.com/LostWdw YouTube direct link --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/daves-disney-view/message
It's time to answer some of your Disney-related questions.  Should I go for rope drop or stay late? What effect will Galaxy's Edge have on my visit?  Can I upgrade a ticket? And a short primer on FastPass+ FastPass+ guide mentioned in the podcast: https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=835236  Don't forget about my video series: Lost and Found in WDW http://feeds.feedburner.com/LostWdw or https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQ6ZFPqt9Lv2WU3bq9DKf1g Hit me up on Twitter anytime @DisneyView --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/daves-disney-view/message
We went on a summer trip up to the Smokey Mountains.  I had no expectation that I would see or do anything that related back to Disney.  But of course, I was wrong.  I seem to always have this lens that is on the lookout for Disney-related things. And I saw a bunch that I call out in this podcast. I haven't made it out to DisneyLand to see Galaxy's Edge, but I have watched a lot of videos and read a lot of blog posts about the new land - so I thought it'd be fun to provide my own perspective.  I'll be honest and say I don't love what I see so far....but there's still time to make some adjustments before it opens at Disney World. Long before the Disney Skyliner, there was another skyway at the Disney theme parks (DisneyLand, the Magic Kingdom, and Tokyo DisneyLand).  I talk about the design, how it worked, and reminisce a little about riding it. In the show I mention Bob Gurr. You can find the show he appeared on here: https://anchor.fm/dashboard/episode/e3m1r3 Hope you enjoy this look back in history. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/daves-disney-view/message
Disney had never managed hotels before, but they decided to get into the business when they opened Walt Disney World.  I take a look back at Disney getting into the hotel business in central Florida.  There are two parts - the addition of hotels along Hotel Plaza Blvd, and the Hilton Inn South that taught the new Cast Members how to run a hotel. Two of my videos (Episodes #10 & #16) cover some of this story as well. As I intended to, I visited Walt Disney World last week, and spent a couple of days doing some fun things.  Hopefully, I caught some of the things you asked me for....by far my favorite part of this visit was people watching: we had some amusing interactions. I also give you some updates about construction (there's a lot), talk about the monorail, and share some observations. We also had a chance to see the Blue Angels and I was churro guy! Hope you enjoy! On this episode, I've got some personal updates - I share a couple of interactions with Guest Services online, and talk about my podcast move.    Then its on to Disney updates - the Gondola system, a temporary replacement for Illuminations, Star Wars updates, and some info on Vegetarian/Vegan Dining.  Picture from the KingdomInsider Vegan Disney World did a nice writeup about the brochures I mention in the podcast - its so new not all of them are printed yet!     Overview:  I was giving some thought to one big reason Disney is successful, and that's "big data" - Disney uses a wealth of information to help you to have a magical time. I explore the concept on this podcast. Notes: On a future show, I'll have to delve into more of how this data is used.
