This is a look back at a fun attraction that existed in the wonders of life. It was film, multi media, and audio animatronics assembled in a theater to tell a story. --- Send in a voice message:
This podcast gives a brief history to pressed pennies at Disney parks, and I talk about my iOS app for finding and collecting pressed pennies. --- Send in a voice message:
I happened to be in Orlando a week or so ago, and took a short drive around property. It was interesting to say the least, so I talk about it. I’m also introducing a new segment I’m calling “one little spark” as kind of a call to action for things we can do to be more engaged in societal issues. --- Send in a voice message:
This episode is an update on some of the news around the Walt Disney company. Espn, disneys entertainment business and theme parks all get a nod. And I play an interview with Josh D’amaro which is from the US Travel Association. Listen to the Dow Report here: --- Send in a voice message:
Thank you for listening. The music included in this episode is copyright of disney, and I sincerely hope they don’t mind its use in this context. The obituary I wrote: --- Send in a voice message:
Disney has some good going on. But this virus? It’s dangerous and returning to a theme park doesn’t seem like a winning idea. --- Send in a voice message:
A kind of, sort of commencement speech from dave. --- Send in a voice message:
I’m going to take a break from podcasting for a while. Consider it like I’m temporarily closed, much like the resort. I tell you about my decision. --- Send in a voice message:
I gave up my annual pass. And at the moment, things are looking not-so-rosy for theme parks in the immediate future - because there’s still a lot of uncertainty.  I listened in to the 2Q earnings call, and have something to say about what I heard. And of course, I’ve got some more thoughts about it. Plus I hit on a couple of news items that are a little less serious.  Lost (& Found) episode #32 discovery island --- Send in a voice message:
Today, I have for you the original entrance area music, which played from 1982-2001 in future world. It set the tone for what futureworld was, and carried on the music from the pavilions. Enjoy! --- Send in a voice message:
I delve into the place we’re in as a nation and a world. I consider how disney really is at the epicenter of everything. --- Send in a voice message:
As we roll through another week, I thought I’d provide a little fun - here’s the background music loop that was played along mainstreet from about 1989 until 2012. Of course (as always) there’s a little story to tell. Enjoy! --- Send in a voice message:
I took an opportunity to pass by the resort because I wanted to see for myself what it looked was surreal almost like it came from Stephen King’s The Stand. So I talk about what I saw, and have some updates on what’s going on.  Finally, I play the audio from the 1987 resort tv loop, for your enjoyment. --- Send in a voice message:
The parks remain closed for now, but there’s news to report in any case. I take you through it. And then play some audio that is kind of fun. --- Send in a voice message:
I present to you my top 20 catchy themes from around disney world. Most of these are older, and many are gone now, but they’re all memorable. Come on a little musical journey around the magic kingdom and Epcot. --- Send in a voice message:
Sonny is an audio animatronic fictional alien who plays daily at cosmic rays starlight cafe in Tomorrowland in the magic kingdom. Come and take a listen to the little story of the location and hear his audio.  Plus, there's a bonus on here! I play the audio from the galactic pay phone that is (used to be?) outside of the Peoplemover. --- Send in a voice message:
On this episode, I spend a moment talking about closures, but then move on to talking about the Contemporary, its construction, and the Mary Blair mural on the central pillar. I figure we can all use a break from the every day.... --- Send in a voice message:
Bob Iger stepped down. The coronavirus forced the closure of two parks. Streaming continues to evolve. There’s a lot to talk about! But to answer the question in the title, I vote "nah"....there are concerns, but nothing specific, today. --- Send in a voice message:
Joining me on the show is Craig Folsom who hosts the eponymous show. We talk about why we love Disney. Come along, and have a listen to us talking about our experiences.  Visit Craig @ --- Send in a voice message:
If you’ll indulge me, I spend some time talking about *me*, how I got here, and how I’ve seen things change.  My first show aired February 8, 2010. And I simply can’t believe I’ve managed to make it this far.  It’s been a great ride, and I can’t wait to see where I go next! --- Send in a voice message:
