British Gas is one of Britain’s largest natural gas companies, and soon, they discovered one of the most important fields in their history. By BG’s estimate, just 22 miles offshore from Gaza, at least one trillion cubic feet of natural Gas.

Russian President Vladimir Putin flew to Beijing this week to meet with Chinese Leader Xi Jinping in what was expected to be a perfunctory meeting between the two leaders of the Global South. Most analysts did not expect this meeting to be much more than part of the newly re-elected Putin's world tour, a perfunctory greeting to Russia's most important ally. We were wrong!

My recent story, “To My Fellow Boomers, It’s Time To Take A Second Look At Gaza,” has elicited a firestorm of responses. Although most have been quite favorable, several, including among my friends and family, have been sharply critical. I’d like to focus on those critiques today because they bring up some of the most significant issues we face as a nation: How do we know what’s happening around us? Specifically, how do we know what’s happening with these Campus, pro-Palestinian demonstrations?

This is an especially difficult time of the year for students; final exams lie directly ahead, and after an especially cold winter, at least here in the Northeast, Spring fever is in full swing. I dare say most students would rather grab their textbooks and head out to the nearest lawn to kick back and put in a few sunny hours of study.

For the next 79 years, the world had existed in an uneasy truce. It was a time when the two principal nuclear superpowers, the United States and, initially, the Soviet Union, now the Russian Federation, faced each other with the weapons of global annihilation. In the past two years, that face-off has become even more belligerent, as the war in Ukraine has brought these two super-powers to the brink of direct, and likely nuclear, confrontation.

I often think of Wall Street as the smallest town in America. It has its own language, its own way of doing things, and, above all, its own way of viewing the world.

Since the beginning of this most recent phase of the conflict, the United States has been the principal supplier of Ukrainian military arms and systems. It has presented America with an unrivaled test and assessment of its Military Production Capacity. On paper, this was a mismatch of historical proportions. After all, the US is the world's most significant arms producer. Of every dollar spent on global military production, the US produces 63 cents. That's right, nearly two-thirds of all weapons produced worldwide are "made in the USA."
