We can't get enough of the viral and ever evolving South African house subgenre, Amapiano. It's a deeply sensual genre that can be enjoyed in a variety of settings. In this episode, DeVault presents the journey of amapiano to Nigeria. Tobi and Muna discuss the history of amapiano, the various musical collaborations that existed between Nigeria and South Africa pre-amapiano, the origins of 'Naijapiano' and the future of Nigerian music post-naijapiano.
Episode Note: *Correction* Amapiano simply means piano in Zulu and it gained traction organically through ride-shares as mentioned in the episode. Its also important to note that amapiano is predominantly performed in Zulu and Xhosa. Wizkid's Amapiano feature ‘Need you tonight’ is indeed on Kabza de Small’s, I Am The King of Amapiano. Fuse ODG’s Azonto was released in 2014 not 2010/11 as mentioned in the episode. The portable type music we were referring to that usually feature the likes of DJ YK Mule is called Cruise beats.

Episode note: *Correction* Obongjayar's album is called 'Some Nights I Dream of Doors' not 'Some Days I Dream of Doors.'

In this episode, DeVault presents the journey of a key figure in the burgeoning alté scene: Mr. Cruel Santino FKA Santi also FKA Ozzy B. He is a man of many talents and an explorer of multiple genres. Tobi and Muna get into his interesting evolution as an artiste and the albums/mixtapes that marked this journey.
Episode Note:
*Correction* Cruel Santino changed his name because of a certain Santi from Spain not South America. In his Ozzy B era, he also released songs on various file sharing platforms along with SoundCloud and YouTube. Also, we don't get into all Santi's singles but primarily focus on his bodies of work. We talk about singles when there were no existing bodies of work. Some key singles we left out but we feel were integral to his career include 'Jungle Fever,' 'End of the Wicked,' and the Odunsi (The Engine) and Maison2500 assisted track 'Icy.' We recorded this episode a while back, but we've graduated now!
