Description
A podcast for artists & creative entrepreneurs where Pascale, creativity coach at Dear Creative Mind, shares grounding meditations, gentle coaching guidance and heartfelt conversations with inspiring artists. Creative minds are the architects of a new world and their art holds the keys to reimagining our reality. The problem is: creative minds tend to spend just as much time making self-limiting narratives as they do making art... Let's rewrite that story and help you move forward on your rebellious ideas.

This episode is an invitation for you to create a simple ceremony to close your current chapter so you can step into what's next with intention. Every story has a beginning, a middle, and an end. We have to allow ourselves to go through each phase. When we’re not creating space to end a chapter, we’re not closing the cycle and we can keep repeating it. New beginnings are exciting and full of possibilities... and endings are full of valuable lessons we need to enter our next cycle with more clarity.

This was a tough episode to record. I’ve been waiting to get clear about the lesson of this difficult life phase and it simply hasn’t happened yet. Rather than to bypass the uncomfortable, I am trying to be in the present, now and exploring stillness between an old life and a new one.
As always here are some prompts to be mindful of:
In what ways can I surrender in the lesson that I’m learning, this season?
When I look at how I’m nourishing my body, mind and soul, how can I make it more nourishing?
What skill or lesson may I be avoiding to learn, when I rush through this season/phase of my life?

In this episode, I’m chatting with Laetitia, Soul and Biz Doula at Essential Shift, about how entrepreneurship can be more of a spiritual journey rather than a business one. Many practices and guides are out there to help us spiritually in our journey, but it all starts with getting to know ourselves. Laetitia shares guidance about Ayurveda, which can be a beautiful and insightful way to reconnect with yourself and create a business in alignment with your energy, your soul, your own blueprint.

Whether it’s through daily habits or a handy set of tools, taking care of one’s self shouldn’t feel shameful nor should it be treated as an afterthought. When it comes to business, it’s easy to forget that we are our most precious resource as we plunge head first into hustle culture.
This week, I’m chatting about the importance of self-care with Carolynne Colbeck. She will share how she has applied her life lessons in her yoga practice and in turn, in her life and business. She also shares some tips for daily habits to incorporate as well as some practical tools you can use in times of need.

In this episode, we explore the link between our desire for freedom and our need for control (hello perfectionism tendencies, I see you!). We identify as freedom seekers, yet a lot of us don’t really feel free on the daily. On the one hand, our attachment to this free-spirited identity can prevent us from creating the helpful structure we need to be able to focus our energy and find flow in our creative practice and business. On the other hand, some of us ironically struggle with letting go of our need to control every detail, may it be in our creative practice, the outcome of our work, and how it’s “supposed” to happen. Freedom and control cannot always coexist when we’re working towards a life, business and creative practice that flows. In this episode, we explore a few solutions to consider, including adding the right amount of (flexible and playful) structure, softening our grip on control, and learning to enjoy freedom (without shame or guilt).
Here are some prompts for you to think of during the podcast
What is your personal definition of freedom? What does it look like/feel like?
How will you know you’ve gotten freedom from your business and what will you do with it?
Do you find yourself struggling with letting go and surrendering?

A lot of us have this resistance when it comes to selling. We either demonize it or procrastinate to avoid it. Whatever this awful vision of what selling is you have, it’s time to change it. Selling can be nothing more than a friendly invitation to take the next step on a promising journey. Stop thinking of yourself as “that annoying car salesperson”, you’re definitely not that. You’re someone with a beautiful gift to offer. In this episode, we’ll talk about the blocks around all things sales and how to shift your perspective around it.
Here are some prompts for you to consider:
Do you find yourself taking action on everything in your business, but you forget to make offers?
Do you find yourself second-guessing your sales and marketing abilities?
What is your relationship with money like?

Obviously, running a business requires work. There’s no getting around it. But hustle culture has us convinced that it’s a “one size fits all'' way of operating in that if you’re not always busy doing and achieving, you just don’t want it enough. Or worse, that there’s something wrong with you. How do you break that autopilot pattern you’re in to slow down to enjoy life as well as your business? In this episode, I’ll share some of my experiences as well as some ways you can let go of the gas pedal, without pumping the brakes to a complete halt. How do we slow down and still grow?

A lot of us get caught up in the whirlwind of entrepreneurship. For many creatives and conscious entrepreneurs, building a business is a gateway to living on our terms - that often means more slowly and mindfully. That desire doesn’t always align with the traditional image we have of entrepreneurship, how it “should” look like and the hustle culture narrative. That’s why I created a free workshop around designing an intentional business, so you can grow it while respecting who you are. In this episode, I’ll do a quick walkthrough of the workshop’s 5 main themes and an overview of each of these.

Are you ready to create change in your life, and start living and embodying your truth?
In this episode, Celina Stobbe, who’s a healing guide and private client of mine, is joining me to share about her journey leaning into intuition and following her truth.
Celina supports unconventional souls to break free from conditioning and shift their experience into sovereignty, authenticity, and ultimate empowerment.
Supporting yourself on your healing journey and having someone to hold space for you as you unearth your truth, uncover stories and patterns that are keeping you small and actively work on changing the narrative, is essential. We are not meant to walk this path alone.
How can we get out of our head and into our heart? That’s what we’re discussing in this episode.

This week, we’re exploring another trap that gets in the way of our creative life and business: our fear of rejection. It’s a tricky one because of how deeply rooted it is in our DNA. Unfortunately, our instinct and desire for acceptance can unbalance and limit our ability to live authentically. This is especially troublesome if you’re different and unconventional which is often the case for us, creative souls. Let’s talk about how this fear ends up being a form of self-rejection that more times than not, can create a diluted, muted version of who we secretly long to be, and prevents us from being visible to the people we’re here to serve.
While you listen, keep in mind:
Do you censor yourself for fear of not being well accepted?
Do you find yourself in territories that you know will be well received by others but don’t light you up?
What part of yourself are you hiding or holding back on?

Are you getting in the way of your growth? Fear of success and growth is something I chat often with my clients.
This week on the podcast, we're exploring why we tend to face a lot of resistance and get into self-sabotage, the closer we get to a goal. The fear of failure and the fear of success both operate similarly in that they develop strategies to shelter us from the fear of the unknown. They also have the same result: they keep us stuck. It’s easy to picture success in a way that can scare us in that it can change us. But it doesn’t have to. Let's help you gain clarity on the underlying reasons why this fear develops, and how you can navigate it to stop the self-sabotage.

Here are some prompts for you to reflect on as you listen to the podcast

As we keep exploring creativity be it through entrepreneurship or in general, this week we’ll focus on a big hurdle: the imposter syndrome. This can take on many forms: feeling like you’re never ready or good enough or that you’re a fraud, that you don’t belong with your peers, that you’re undeserving and that one day, you’ll be “found out”.
How can we overcome it? We’ll discuss how the imposter syndrome can affect our creative-self and business.
Here are some prompts for you to reflect on as you listen:
What are some shoulds that you are carrying around?
Can you dig and detect a place that “forces” you to overcompensate?
Is there someone or something that triggers you in that, it makes you jealous?

The Empath Podcast episode: https://www.theempathpodcast.com/listen-the-empath-podcast/being-misunderstood-as-empath
In this episode, I share about another “creative-block power couple”. These blocks are some of the traps that we often succumb to as creative souls, but in understanding them, we become more equipped to navigate them.
Today we’ll talk about indecisiveness and our fear of commitment.
It can be very easy to get sidetracked and influenced by too many external sources, especially when trying to “find the right way”. This is often due to our lack of confidence towards our general ability to make decisions. Rather than finding the right decision, it’s more important to find the right decision for us and the right decision, right now.
Making decisions and committing can also feel very restrictive and overwhelming, but that’s only if what we’re committing to isn’t something that stems from our own desires.
Let’s declutter all the shoulds and talk about how indecisiveness and fear of commitment can steer us off course.
Here are some prompts for you to reflect on during the episode:
Prompts
Do you tend to go back and forth on a decision, to the point of feeling dizzy?
Do you find yourself turning to outside sources for decision-making?
In looking at how you invest your time and energy what can you honestly say are you committed to? What are these commitments?

In this second episode of season three, dedicated to creativity and living a creative lifestyle, we’ll start getting into some of the blocks and traps that get in our way. In giving it some thought, I’m starting to believe that our creative blocks come in pairs - I call them “Creative Block Power Couples”.
This week we’ll deal with one of the biggest ones: Perfectionism and Procrastination. We’ll talk about how one feeds into the other and how they both affect our self-worth and self-trust. I also want to speak to how they both contribute to a never-ending hamster wheel of never-enoughness.
Here are some prompts for you to reflect on during and after the podcast:
Do you often observe yourself procrastinating on a creative project or on a business project?
What does your self-talk sound like? Do you hear a lot of shame, guilt, or blame?
When you take an honest look at how you spend your time and energy, does it bring you closer to where you want to be OR further away from what you’re trying to avoid ?
How can I trust myself and my path more?
What could trusting myself look like today?
If I approach this with more compassion, how would it look, feel and sound like?
What am I really avoiding? And what is the real cost of avoiding it ?

In this first episode of season 3, which will be dedicated to creativity as a whole, I started thinking about what creativity means to me, what it helps me with and what it creates when it’s not in my life.
Obviously, creativity can mean many different things to many different people and it made me realize how important it is to define what creativity means to you, especially if you’re a creative person. One thing I realized is that whenever creativity was missing from my life, it happened to be some of the most difficult moments for me. Conversely, creativity happened to be at the center of me getting out of these difficult moments.
So how can we live our lives creatively? How can we transform ourselves into channels from which creativity can express itself?
Here are some prompts for you to think of during this episode.
What is your personal definition of creativity?
What space does creativity take in your life and how could you create more space for it?
Out of all the creative blocks I’ll share in this episode, which one resonate the most with you?

Creating and launching a business from the ground up requires a lot from us. Thankfully there’s a wealth of knowledge available to us but in doing so, we tend to create a gap between how we run our business and who we are as the person running it. Rather than adapting the learnings and blending them with our personal reality, we create carbon copies of business templates that unfortunately contribute to draining our energy and confidence.
There isn’t “one way” to do anything and once you accept yourself and account for who you are, that’s when you can create from a place of flow. We need to account for our values and identity because they 100% have a direct impact on every single choice we make in your business.
In this episode, I’ll take you behind the scenes at how I had to reshape the way I run my business based on my personality, values and identity. We’ll dive into how I create my schedule, my boundaries and how I create my content.
Here are some prompts for you to consider during the episode
Do you find yourself facing a lot of resistance when it comes to creating or taking action?
Do you find yourself trying to find new routines or schedules on a regular basis because none of them seem to “stick”?
Do you sometimes judge yourself for not managing your business the way other people do?

Change and uncertainty go hand in hand and we tend to minimize the anxiety that comes with change. While the uncertainty of the 2020 pandemic has affected us all, it has also made us reflect on our lives and lead us to change be it change of career, relationship or simply new lifestyle. What is often talked about in change is either the start of the journey, how to get started or the tail end, how to enjoy the benefits. What is less talked about is the in-between phase where our footing is hard to find. This is the phase where the uncertainty from change is often the most stressful. How do we get past that phase?
Here are some prompts to help you
How do you typically handle change, uncertainty or instability?
In what ways has it affected you in the past?
How is it affecting the way you live today?

As someone who loves planning ahead, I’ve learned how to make the best out of my planning efforts. Oddly enough, I’ve noticed that planning through goal setting isn’t 100% reliable. We often set out goals through the sum total of other people’s vision. So how do we know if the goals we set are really OUR goals and not someone else’s? I feel it’s always important to look our past year, gauge what has worked, what hasn’t and why and from that, create a vision on which goals will likely flow out organically. In this episode, I’ll walk through my own process in planning your next year.
PROMPTS
What brought the most joy for you this year?
What created the most anxiety?
What led to the best results, with the least amount of efforts?
What felt most draining, using a large "amount" of efforts?
Considering your answers so far, what needs to be shed or changed? Conversely, what needs more of your attention?
VISION
What is your intention for the upcoming new year? (It can be a mantra, quote, sentence or picture)
What is your definition of success or freedom?
What is the overall vision (feeling) for your business?
What is the overall vision (feeling) do you have for yourself as an entrepreneur?
What are some boundaries you need to set and respect to be more balanced?
