Jones definitely got that psychological "interview" business from Scientology. He was a member for about a year before striking out on his own.
Every time I hear the beginning of the theme music for Dear Franklin Jones, I can't help hearing Deborah Harry from Blondie singing the opening of Call Me: "Colour me your colour, baby Colour me your car Colour me your colour, darling I know who you are..."

I don't understand how or why anyone would think any of this is legit....its total nonsense ...but i guess in the time before the internet and social media people were able to be more naive in their beliefs , through almost no fault of their own
Remember, the Devil is compelling, powerful, silver-tongued, controlling, seductive and steals the souls of the unwary. Do not make allowances for this evil caricature of a guru.
Jonathan, you are fortunate your family came away with your lives and sanity. I am 67 and am intimate with those dangerous years.
Jones, like all the other Charleston's of his ilk, is a manipulative sociopath.
I am really enjoying this show. The host does a good job of not making excuses for Jones or his followers while not vilifying them or implying that they are brainwashed.
