When I first started the "Dear God, I'm Grateful" podcast, it was a way to cope with the grief of losing my father. After more than 550 days of practicing gratitude, I realized just how much it helped me through the toughest times in my life. At one point, I stopped creating content and recording this podcast because I felt like I had nothing new to be grateful for every day. But then I was reminded—God calls us to always be thankful, always be grateful.Psalm 100 reminds us to enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise, for the Lord is good and His faithful love endures forever. Dear God I’m Grateful For Enlarged Territory.“Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.” - Psalms‬ ‭37:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬.The Prayer of Jabez is a common prayer for those seeking prosperity or looking for the Lord to expand our borders and bless us with new opportunities. .According to 1 Chronicles‬ ‭4:9-10‬ ‭NLT, “There was a man named Jabez who was more honorable than any of his brothers. His mother named him Jabez because his birth had been so painful. He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request.”. As I was studying this prayer, I learned that as our territory enlarges and Lord grants our request for expansion, we are called to provide refuge for those in need. .““And if the Lord your God enlarges your territory, as he swore to your ancestors, and gives you all the land he promised them, you must designate three additional cities of refuge. We try to balance building our faith, pursuing our purpose, working, taking care of responsibilities, tending to our physical health, our mental health and all of things, so much so we feel overwhelmed by even the simplest of tasks..Today I am grateful for simplicity. .I’m grateful that the thing that’s in front of me right now is what God wants me to focus on and that once that thing is done, I can focus on another. .Trying to do everything at once only brings stress, burnout and unfinished tasks. Dear God I’m Grateful For TrustDay #558 - My favorite verse in the Bible is Proverbs 3: 5-8 which says:.“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.”‭.When we trust in the Lord with all your heart; we give God all of us, not just a portion or a piece, but our complete heart. We open ourselves up to vulnerability and exercise faith by not depending on our own understanding, but relying on God for everything..When we seek his will in all that we do, we are obeying his commandments and giving him authority over our lives. And because he loves us so much and wants us to follow him, he will show us which path to take when making life decisions..He instructs us to not be impressed with our own wisdom, but humble ourselves instead by fearing the Lord and turning away from evil. These beliefs can dictate our actions and ultimately lead to why and how we make decisions. .So when the enemy attacks our mind, He ultimately distracts us from controlling our thoughts. Dear God I’m Grateful For Confirmation.Day #553 - I’m the type of girl who seeks confirmation from God before I decide to move on anything! Even things that seem absolutely OBVIOUS, I still like to pray on it, sleep on it, and receive confirmation before I make a decision. .Was I always like this.... Absolutely Not! But once I started truly trusting the Lord to order my steps, he always seems to confirm if I’m headed in the right direction..““I will confirm my covenant with you and your descendants after you, from generation to generation. This is the everlasting covenant: I will always be your God and the God of your descendants after you.” -Genesis‬ ‭17:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬.Today I received confirmation about a something I’ve been praying for my entire life..Confirmation can come in many forms, from different people, or from the Word itself.
