Winter sighting reports are very rare, Im not to sure why but things seem to settle down during the winter months and very few Cryptid Sighting reports come in. We do however get some very rare winter reports. I dont know if its because less people are out and about due to the bad weather, or are they just unfortunate enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time? It can be confusing if your seeing something large and bulky moving through snow or fog that you can quite make out. The Scandinavians dont have a culture set around Snow Trolls for no reason. The light can bounce and distort on snow, and it can trick our eyes and our brains. Many of the Grey man reports could be a phenomenon known as the Brecon Spectre. But for that to take effect you need to be miles high and away from light pollution.The Creatures in these reports were moving through areas that are close to urban hubs and small towns. On our way back to camp my friend stopped and he was looking off into this woodline and said "What the f**k was that". I turned to him and saw his face, then I quickly turned to where he was looking but I couldn't see anything, so I asked him "what did you see?" He said "I don't know but it was big and moving down on all fours". So me being me I went straight into the wood to try and see what my friend was seeing. I couldn't see anything moving, but I did find bones on the floor where my friend said he saw this thing, the bones looked like a young Deers bones due to the size of its skull and a there was also a couple of leg bones but they looked very fresh.Ever since that day me and my friend have been talking about what happened and what he could have seen, so we have come up with a plan to just keep going back in the hopes of finding some Answers. There have been many sightings of Upright Hairy Creatures that steal fish from fisherman's nets and meat from the poachers' cache. We have many images of strange finds from within the Culbin Forest and the marshy areas of Inverness, Deer legs in trees, many intricate stick and stone patterns left around the area, a number of natural blinds as well as the sightings of the humanoid figures. We find bones stored high in trees, huge tree trunks upright on pathways. A male from the area of Nairn Valley and Clava Cairns who is out in the fields late at night and early in the morning frequently. He says he has seen something about 3 - 4 times now in the dim light. The first time this happened he was out in the fields, and he heard 'someone' approaching him coming along the river bank, thinking it was a water bailiff or a game keeper he dived for cover. As It passed him It appeared to be enormous both in height and width, and 'stank' to high heaven! The forgotten ghost town of Meridean sits on the Chippewa River west of Eau Claire. Not only is the area thought to be haunted by the siren-like ghost of Mary Dean, it also seems like a favorite prowling grounds for hellhounds. According to local legend, nearly 60 years ago a parked truck was found down at the boat landing of Meridean. It was believed that two young kids who had gone down to the area and parked their vehicle were brutally torn apart by some fierce wild beast. When police looked inside the vehicle, they discovered blood splattered all over the interior, but the bodies of the victims were missing. Further analysis uncovered clumps of hair from some unidentified animal, and the bodies of the youngsters were never found. The next man to make a report was a big burly biker, the exact type of guy who wouldn’t be scared by anything. He stated that he and a couple of his friends decided to take their bikes out to see the ghost of Mary Dean. They arrived at the area and immediately felt watched. The bikers were then able to see a number of strange Dog-like creatures approaching them. The Dogs appeared to be nearly transparent – the group could almost see right through them. The second thing that freaked them out was the fact that the group exited the area at a quick pace, but the Hellhounds had no problem keeping up with them, no matter how fast they went. With a gruesome-looking Hellhound running right next to him, the man kicked out his foot and attempted to hit the ferocious Dog. Much to his surprise, his foot simply went right through the Creature. This aggressive action seemed to work, because after the kick, the Dogs simply disappeared into the night. Fearing that the Dogs were out to harm them, the bikers quickly decided to scurry out of the area as fast as they could.Within a few hundred yards of the boathouse is another report made to Michael Bachman. A Motorist Spots ‘Dogman’ in Wisconsin. - A man driving through the Eau Claire region in Wisconsin, spotted an unidentified animal he said “it looked like a two-legged wolf”. David M a Canadian businessman reported that he was driving along Interstate 94 the night of Oct. 1 when he came upon the alleged creature. “I was hoping to make it to the casino in the dells and stay there,” he says. “As I drove along, I noticed a figure moving towards the right side of the road.”David described it “as a black 6 to 7 feet tall creature and “fuzzy and shaggy in appearance”. It was standing upright, slightly leaned forward.” He added that he could not figure out a head or upper limbs because it was “a quick glance”, but that there was one thing about the animal that really captured his attention. “Its legs. Called the Devil's Urinal by the locals The Manchester Ship Canal has claimed the bodies of thousands. In a 15 yr period over 90 men have been pulled from the deadly waterway. Are these crimes connected? Or are they coincidences?In one year 16 men were found dead along the canal. This encounter took place near a village called Paull, which is several miles northeast of the city of Hull, it is rural and on the coast, so it is pretty desolate at night. The year was 2002/03. "As we watched in silence “It” slowly emerged from the slight cover and moved into the road just a couple of feet. I couldn’t see any features. ‘It’ was just a solid black humanoid shape that was around 6 ft tall. ‘It’ just stood there as if staring at the car.’ Jon kept saying WTF is that. I reached down for the ignition and turned it so the power was on but not into the start position. I have also included some reports that I feel fit the habit and characteristics of these Canine Creatures. Often seen around our Cemeteries and Ancient burial sites, shadowing humans as they walk the woods. Sometimes even coming very close to our homes. They watch us silently as we weave along the paths, sometimes spotted from the corner or your eye, but most often unseen. As more and more people begin to share their experience with these inexplicable Creatures we start to learn some of the behaviours and habits. Hearing each story shared gives an indication of patterns in description or a certain trait of action. For example I think many of you will agree that the Dogmen creatures seem far more aggressive than any other Cryptid. We know they shadow and stalk in some areas where they feel comfortable. They will often growl or snarl before they are even seen. They are often described as having red eyes, or yellowish eyes. You will hear stories from people who saw what we would commonly describe as a Werewolf like Creature, with Dog like characteristics, yet others see what they describe as Wolf headed/Dog headed men. Human bodies but with the face and fur of a dog. And then we have the Shucks and the Phantom Dogs that seem to dwell between two worlds.Creatures which are often described as being as “large as a Pony and thickly muscled” With snouted faces and Canine teeth. These Creatures are the critters from our nightmares, they are certainly fierce enough to keep you up at night. Some Unfortunate folks came face to face with these inexplicable horrors in some of our most beautiful Places. Yet others see them walking home from work at night, or whilst driving too and from work. And in a couple of disturbing cases are actually experienced whilst working your shift. The Netherwitton Dog-Like Thing. 21st August 2020 - I received a call from a gentleman in the Morpeth Area of the North East, he saw something whilst driving from Simonside to Netherwitton. “I went out for a drive last night and I saw something I can not explain. I've been running it through my head all day trying to find an explanation for what happened. I asked the witness ‘What was your first thought on seeing it? Lancashire is the County I was born in. It's a place I hold close to my heart. I grew up hearing stories of Jenny Greenteeth, Boggarts and Nut nans. Strange creatures that inhabit the woodlands and scare off any folk who may be passing by. Their stories are our stories, they are in our history, our folklore and within our families, but would it surprise you to know, these are not the only Creatures hiding in Lancashire's Woodlands and Wild Places. These days we use the word 'Bigfoot' to describe any creature, up on two legs, usually hairy and Ape like in description. The reports of these strange Creatures are made by ordinary people, doing ordinary things when they encounter something impossible.As Halloween approaches and Autumn rolls in, I thought I would take the opportunity to share some of the Stranger reports I have received whilst collecting personal stories from ordinary folks who live in Lancashire. Stories of Upright Wolves, commonly known as Werewolves, Wulvers or Dogmen. These Creatures are often described as being as “large as a Pony and thickly muscled. With snouted faces and Canine teeth” these Creatures are the critters from our nightmares, they are certainly fierce enough to keep you up at night. Some Lancashire residents came face to face with these inexplicable horrors in some of our most beautiful Places. The Forest of Bowland hosts a very strange Creature and ‘It’ was witnessed by two Lancashire Residents in the 1990’s and in 2014. One witness is a resident of Lancashire enjoying a family break. The other is a wild camper who has camped in some of our remotest areas alone until an event at Wolfs Hole Crag ended that hobby for him. I was contacted by a Gentleman named Matt who lives on the Isle of White, he has had numerous strange experiences since being a very young child. One experience at Appuldurcombe House on the Isle of White stands out to me as it mentions many typical behaviours of the Creatures known as Dogman or Bipedaj Wolves. The Wolfheaded Men is another name for them and they have appeared in our history since the dawn of time. How you act around them, or interact with them can determine the outcome of the event. Our Witness did not see what was Standing behind him that night, so I will leave up to you to determine what you think was growling from within the bushes.Matt is a photographer who takes the most amazing pictures of the sky, he was photographing the Milky way that night and was concentrating on the sky. Although Matt usually does not like the dark, when he is out in nature veiwing the sky and enjoying the night he doesnt need lights. The less light the better when you want to capture the beauty our skies behold.Matt sas there for a while on his own when a wedding party came up the driveway to the stately home. Matt chatted back and force with them for a while, explaining what he was doing and showing them how to get the best shots for themselves before they returned home. As the merry band went off to their rooms for the night Matt continued to sit in silence taking image shots of the sky. Suddenly for no reason he could think of the entire area around him went silent. Normally you could hear the odd car or guest at the house, but nothing stirred in this silence. It was at that moment Matt knew he was not alone.Matt has had many 'paranormal or otherworldly' events happen in his life and this time he presumed this was an interaction with spirit, which he is very comfortable with, so when he felt an energy enter his space it changed how he felt about that night. He knew 'something' was within 20ft of him in the pitch blackness but he could not see it. When he heard the first low gutteral growl he presumed it was coming from infront of him in the trees and bushes. Matt heard a few further low gutteral growls, his first thought on hearing these growls was that they belonged to a huge dog of somekind. Matt was a little un-nerved by this event and went back to his car to get a torch and a craft knife he used for cutting bramles and brush. He wasnt scared, just curious and wary and he shone his torch around the area trying to pick out whatever was making the noise. Shining his torch made the growl change to a scowling noise, a noise impossible to explain. Confrontedwith this Matt held his cool and acted as you should when confronted by a possible predator. I started to visit Colwick Country Park and Some of the Areas around there back in 2018. I found lots of interesting structures around this area, hence my interest. I was on the South side bank of what is called Colwick Hall Pool, which is next to the hotel, Colwick Hall itself. It was did afternoon. On a clear, bright sunny day. There were still a lot of green on the trees despite the late season. We had very mild weather that year, and Autumn was unusualy warm for that time of year.For no good reason, I had just stepped into the clearing on my side of the bank, and I started scanning the trees on the opposite bank, purely on a whim. And literally, I had been there for no more than a minute, when right at the centre of where I happened to be looking, near the treetops, this figure appeared high above the path, for all the world like it had been waiting for me to look. "Whoa!" I exclaimed, more surprised than anything. By the time I finished saying this however, it was already well on its way.When this figure appeared, it seemed as if it had just stepped out from behind a curtain, at which point it was facing me directly. Making no bones about it, there was no mistaking that silhouette, that V - shape with two huge shoulders and long arms, and a tiny little cone shaped head perched forwards. But there was no weight behind it whatsoever, it was like a crude Special Effect, or a hologram. When I first experienced this event, everything happened strangley, I saw a dark shadow on a tree that 'peeled' its self away from the tree, and I know I was meant to experience that event. Each time I would remember this event I would see more and more of a shape, and the experience became clearer over time. Now I have a clear image what I saw and experienced that day. I just remember being at the bottom of the hill near Stanfield road. Then it was almost like I was placed on my back at the side of a small dam. As I was coming back around, I noticed I could hear dogs from one side of the hill barking all across the hill. Bearing in mind this was at 12.30am. All this wind came over me. It went completely silent and I started to get up and walk back down to where I was before and as I did the whole sky light up for a split second like daylight. Then I heard this woozing, humming noise is all I can describe it as. I looked to my right hand side and all these lights formed in on themselves about 20 to 40ft away. Then it disappeared and ever since then I noticed a small movable lump in my head above my right ear that just doesn't seem to go away................“The other night my small toe on my right foot was itchy and sore, it had been like that for several weeks now, I never go barefoot as being diabetic its not worth taking risks, I scratched at my toe with my big toe on my other foot, getting quite vigorous, suddenly I felt ‘something’ in my little toe, then I heard what sounded like a ball bearing drop from my toe and then I heard it bounce on the floor and roll away, try as we might neither of us found anything on the floor when we searched to see what had made the noise, my toe stung like mad for a day or so afterwards”Deborah Hatswell is the founding member of the BBR Investigations group and has taken or researched over 1400 personal witness reports.
