Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Hallmark Channel - 2024)

The movie kicks off with Angela and Brian from The Office trying to convince us that they can play other characters. We're at the Holly Hills Post Office, where every year, Brian and the other postal workers judge the best Christmas card. The winner goes on the Wall of Fame. It’s Settie’s dream to win, but the same person has won 18 years in a row.Cut to a year later, and Settie sits down to write her annual newsletter. To her surprise, it doesn’t just write itself. She thinks, "If only I had this famous author to write my Christmas card!" This author, Juan, wrote her current favorite book. So, she decides to go for it and emails Juan’s manager, offering to pay him to come to her town and write the letter for her. Juan, who's in a bit of a funk, agrees to take the gig. When he arrives, he gets into a rideshare with Settie’s daughter, Lilly. When Settie’s rival, Sue, shows up, they lie and tell her that Lilly and Juan are engaged. Juan agrees to stay, though he’s completely confused about what’s going on. But after meeting Sue, he realizes he can’t stand her and decides to stay for a while longer.Soon enough, sparks begin to fly between Lilly and Juan for real. But Juan is still struggling with writer’s block, even when it comes to the Christmas card. Meanwhile, Sue has been running things in town for too long—she even has rules about how people can decorate for Christmas. So, to surprise Settie, Lilly and Juan stay up all night decorating Sue’s yard with Christmas lights and lawn ornaments. They love the result. But the night isn’t over. Lilly and Juan run lines for a play she’s auditioning for, and they share a kiss—purely for the love of the art, of course.Sue thinks she’s figured out who Juan really is and confronts him at a Christmas party. But she’s wrong—he’s not in the mafia at all. However, it’s revealed that Sue doesn’t actually write her own Christmas letter. After the excitement of the party, Lilly and Juan share some big kisses.Juan gives Settie the Christmas letter she asked for, but she decides that she wants to write her own letter after all. The next day at breakfast, Settie reads the letter she wrote out loud, and it’s perfect—honest, heartfelt, and even admitting she hired a ghostwriter. She also explains how she fell back in love with Christmas, and how her family’s Christmas traditions are perfect just the way they are. The letter ends up winning the Christmas card contest, and we all cheer.

Christmas with the Singhs (Hallmark Channel - 2024)

Asha works is a nurse at the ER. She takes a call from her parents who are sad she isn't home on Christmas. But she explains that after years of avoiding this shift, her luck ran out. We then meet Jake who is a reporter covering the Christmas Day basketball game. He's leaving the game and sees a women with a bunch of gifts in her hands and goes to help her. He ends up slipping on the ice and goes to the ER. When Asha sees him, it's clear they knew each other. She was his chemistry tutor in high school and he was a mr. athletic in high school. They catch up on where they've been. The sparks begin to fly and his heart rate begins to increase. HE shoots his shot and asks her to go out for a drink and she says yes! They have some candy cane martinis, talk about their parents, and he walks her home and he's about to walk away but then he pulls her in and they kiss!!!We then see a year go by and see them grow closer and closer. We're back to another Christmas season and he proposes! Now it's time to meet the parents - up first is Asha's family. Asha's dad is a real hoot who does some classic fatherly hazing to Jake such as giving him a hard time about his rental car, getting on him about not asking for his blessing, and tricking him into eating some real hot chicken. They go to meet Jake's dad and it's a different vibe and they end up getting into a bit of an argument about how many kids they'll have. His dad expresses concern over Jake not being ready for marriage. Jake's parents are divorced, hence his fathers hesitancy towards marriage, so they go to meet his mom. She's much more excited for them to get married and also excited to show off her knowledge of Indian culture she's learned from pop culture. The next day, Jake falls off a ladder when he finds out that he's not the first guy to propose to Asha. She explains to him that her dad really liked this guy but i didn't and I said no. They talk about it though and make up. The next day, the families all come together in the most anxiety driven scene in the history of Hallmark. Jake's mom wears a traditional Indian saree and they don't take off their shoes. They get in an argument about where the engagement party is gonna take place. But that's nothing a little Silent Night won't handle. After going to the Christmas carnival together, both sets of parents have conversations about hesitation on if these two cultures can blend. There are some more speed bumps along the way such as Asha and Jake waking up on the couch together, a bit of an argument about what he will wear to the engagement party, and frustration that they double booked on Christmas Eve.It all comes to a head when they show up late to Asha's families Christmas service because they were with Jake's family. A huge argument errupts which leads to Asha saying that she doens't think this is going to work. Samual and Jake Sr talk about how they done goofed and decide to work together to make sure their kids work out. Samual apologizes to Jake and gives him his blessing for him to marry Asha. Then Samual goes and apoogies to Asha and they have an amazing father/daugther moment. It's time for the engagement party complete with some traditional ceremonial speeches given by both of the dads. They all dance and Asha and Jake kiss under the mistletoe.

Jingle Bell Run (Hallmark Channel - 2024)

The movie kicks off with great animation, and that's how you know you're dealing with a heavy-hitter flick. We meet Avery, a school teacher who makes toddlers give speeches about Christmas ornaments. She loves crossword puzzles and juice boxes. While she's in the teacher’s lounge, other teachers keep congratulating her, but she has no idea why. Her best friend Ruby explains that she signed her up to be a competitor on The Great Holiday Dash, something that is definitely NOT The Amazing Race. Avery is not thrilled.Cut to Andrew Walker, selling juice—a real stretch for my boy AW. His character’s name is Wes, a retired professional athlete looking for his next big thing, and it turns out that next big thing is The Great Holiday Dash.Avery thinks it over and realizes it could be a great way to bring attention to her school and maybe even get some extra funding. So she starts training, even though she’s never done anything like this before. She ends up meeting Wes at the gym, and it does not go well. Classic treadmill situation. The competition begins, and Wes is shocked to see Avery from the gym there. The game is simple: there’s one silver bell hidden somewhere in America. The first one to find it wins. But this year, the contestants won’t compete individually—they’ll team up in pairs. Naturally, Avery and Wes are teamed up. The game kicks off with one team being eliminated after the first round. Luckily, Avery and Wes crack enough nuts to move on to the second round, which takes them to Boston. The next game involves shooting pucks, which works great for Wes.Producer Dirk pulls Wes aside and tells him to flirt more with Avery for the ratings—“Wes, you’re the star! A little flirting will really boost the numbers.” That night, Wes and Avery actually connect. Gotta hate when that happens. The next day, they head to New York City for a window display competition. Instead of immediately diving into the task, they spend more time talking and getting to know each other. Their theme is “Three French Hens,” so they go with a French theme for their display, and it looks amazing—almost like professionals came in afterward and finished it for them. And good for them—they WIN the round! They hug, and Producer Dirk tells Wes, “Good job.”Next, they head to Texas for a dance contest. This competition is a little weird, but their dance quickly turns sexy, and they win again. After a hitchhiking detour, they assume they’re out, but surprise—they’re not! So that’s a relief. They head to Oregon for the next round, but first, there’s an extracurricular gift exchange, for reasons that are unclear.Avery and Wes make it to the finals, and the sparks are flying. However, when Avery overhears a conversation between Wes and the producer, she gets really mad. What she doesn’t hear, though, is Wes telling the producer that he doesn’t want to play the game anymore because he’s really into her.The producer tells her about Wes’ feelings right before the final competition. They do a crossword puzzle and race to find the best gift under the tree. Wes falls and hurts his leg, so Avery continues on alone—and wins!!!They celebrate by announcing what they’re going to do with their prize money—both plan to give back to the community. In the end, they make up and and make out.

Hot Frosty (Netflix - 2024) ft. Alonso Duralde & Jacklyn Collier

The movie kicks off with some narration about the Christmas magic of snow in fairy tales. But this isn’t just any normal fairy tale.Cut to a house, all decorated for Christmas. The camera pans over to the house next door, which is dark and cold. Inside is Kathy, who is just as cold as her surroundings, while a truly awful version of "Jingle Bell Rock" plays in the background. We learn that Kathy runs a diner, and although her house may imply otherwise, she isn’t nearly as miserable as it seems. The diner keeps her busy, and she likes it that way.She goes to serve a couple some food, and they encourage her to get back out there. Before she leaves, they give her a scarf. While walking through the town square, Kathy comes across a very muscular snowman. She drapes the scarf around it and takes a picture. That night, the magic winds blow, and the snowman comes to life — with the long scarf still around his neck, if you catch my drift. He starts walking around town, taking in the sights and sounds, but soon realizes he’s not wearing any clothes. Desperate, he breaks into a store and grabs the first thing he finds to cover himself. The next day, Kathy parks her car and sees a man who appears to be talking to the other snowmen. He notices her and excitedly tells her what happened to him. She’s confused but invites him to her diner.Meanwhile, the police chief, Nate, investigates the break-in. "Stuff like this doesn’t happen in his town!" he declares, taking the case very seriously.Back at the diner, Kathy tries to figure out this guy’s name. The shirt he stole has "Jack" written on it, so they go with that. Jack explains that he was the snowman Kathy put the scarf on. Kathy thinks he’s crazy but also feels sorry for him since he’s freezing. She takes him to the doctor, who suggests that maybe Jack is telling the truth — who can say for sure? They discuss finding Jack a place to stay, but he insists on staying with Kathy because he feels safe with her.She reluctantly agrees, bringing him to her house and leaving him in front of the TV. After watching several channels, Jack snoops around her house and finds pictures of Kathy with a man and some medical forms about chemotherapy. That night, Kathy comes home and realizes that the police are looking for Jack. She tells him to lay low. In return, Jack shows her that he made homemade pizza crust and eggnog. He also asks her about her late husband, and she opens up to him.The next day, Jack finds the home improvement channel and decides to get to work fixing up Kathy’s house. But when a woman named Jane sees him shirtless, she crashes her car. She brings him to her house to help with repairs and later takes him to the diner, where Sheriff Nate is also present. He’s immediately suspicious of Jack and his strange habit of eating ice.Despite the sheriff’s suspicions, Kathy is moved by Jack’s hard work and enthusiasm. She tells him that he can help out at the school, where he quickly becomes a hit. Jack is loving life, and Kathy starts to enjoy his company, though she admits that she can’t love anyone until she learns to love herself first. As Jack helps decorate for the school’s Christmas ball, he realizes he wants to ask Kathy out. With some encouragement from Deputy Schatz, Jack finally works up the courage. After some hesitation, he tells Kathy, "I don’t want to lay low. I want to stand tall." She agrees, and they go fancy shopping and have a wonderful time.Later, they go to the school dance and have the best time of their lives. They step outside to cool off, and they almost kiss, but Jack pulls back. He says, "The more I fall in love with you, the more I can’t stand the thought of hurting you if I melt." They share a hug.On Christmas Eve, Kathy hosts a gathering at the diner. Suddenly, Sheriff Nate comes in and arrests Jack after finding a picture of him at the ATM. Kathy rushes to check on Jack and discovers he’s melting. She runs to get all the money in her safe, but it’s not enough. The townspeople, however, come together and contribute their own money — it’s a "It’s a Wonderful Life" moment. Sheriff Nate counts the money, but after seeing how much it means to the town, he returns it to Kathy. She rushes to Jack, who is in a bad state. The townspeople carry him out into the snow, but he doesn’t wake up. Desperate, Kathy leans down and tells Jack that she loves him before kissing him. She begins to walk away, but suddenly Jack stands up. They embrace, and Kathy notices something’s different. Jack says, "I don’t know what’s up," and shivers. Kathy exclaims, "You’re cold!" They kiss again as the crowd cheers. They spend Christmas together, repair the heating in her house, and then head off to Hawaii for a well-deserved vacation.

A Reason for the Season (Hallmark Mystery - 2024)

The movie kicks off with a great rendition of Deck the Halls that might be the new theme song for Deck the Hallmark. Cut to a woman driving in a car, giving herself a pep talk and talking to herself and her baby, whom she is pregnant with. Suddenly, she feels a sharp pain, drives into a town, and runs into a diner, saying she thinks she's going into labor but that the snow is really coming down. Luckily, there’s a doctor in the diner who has personally delivered over 100 babies! The birth is successful, and the baby is healthy. She names her Evie Lang. The group takes a picture to celebrate—there’s a doctor, a police officer, a lawyer, and some other fancy folks. The doctor gives the baby a little checkup and realizes the baby may have an abdominal blockage, so they all work together to get the baby to the hospital. They save the baby’s life, take up a collection to pay the hospital bill, and send them on their way.Cut to the present day, when the mother, Elizabeth Lane, is giving a speech about the success of her skincare brand, Lane Cosmetics. Evie is now an adult, and her mom brings her up on stage to celebrate the success of women. Evie is clearly uncomfortable being on stage. She’s in fashion but isn’t having much success. Her mom tells her she’s been spoiled and needs to learn how to do something hard. So she gives her the Polaroid of the people who helped her on the night she was born. Her mom explains that Evie has to go and find these people and grant Christmas wishes to each of them. If she fails this mission, she’ll lose her trust fund. So, Evie heads back to the town and is disappointed by the absolutely massive inn she has to stay in. She goes by the name of Mary so as not to give herself away. She decides to go and ask the only attorney in town for help finding the people in this picture. He says, “I could do that, but why would I?” She says she wants to give them an award. He replies, “That’s not what this town is all about, especially dressed like that.” So, she goes to find an outfit that’s a bit more low-key. They go and grab a bite to eat, and the diner owner tells them the story of what happened that night.Kyle agrees to help her find the people, but they’re going to go at his pace. Up first is Roy, and Evie ends up being voluntold to be the elf in the town square. The diner owner quickly figures out who she is, and she comes clean. She asks what his wish is. At first, he’s hesitant but tells her to let him think on it. She is blown away by how nice everyone in this town is and realizes that’s going to make it hard for her to finish this project quickly. The next day, she ends up backing out and almost hitting a police car. Turns out, that cop is someone she needs to repay, but she doesn’t want to reveal her true identity, so she ends up getting arrested. Evie is blown away by the kindness and doesn’t know how she’s going to repay them. She finds out that someone has been this town’s Secret Santa—paying hospital bills, etc., for a long time. She calls her mom, and her mom explains that she tried to repay everyone many moons ago but couldn’t do it. So, good luck, kid. It’s just your trust fund at risk. The pressure is mounting, and what better way to deal with said pressure than by ice skating with Kyle? She decides to tell him the truth about who she is, and Kyle’s like, “Oh, yeah, I know.” But he was unaware that she was doing this just to make sure she didn’t lose her trust fund. You can tell he’s like, “Oh, boo hoo to you,” but they continue their quest, and he continues to just watch her from afar. The diner owner is impressed by Evie, and he calls Elizabeth to encourage her to come and see all the good that Evie has been doing in the town. So, Elizabeth comes, and she’s so proud of Evie. She has done so much good. She finds out that Kyle’s dad was the one who took the picture, so she has to make his wish come true. They have a birthday party at the diner for Evie, and she tells her mom she wants to do more of this kind of stuff with her trust fund. She asks Kyle what he wants, and he says, “I want you,” and they kiss. Everyone takes one more picture together.

Unwrapping Christmas: Mia's Prince (Hallmark+ - 2024) ft. Ryan Pappolla

The movie starts with Mia in some sort of fantasy sequence that reminds me of a really weird fantasy romance novel. Turns out, she's just sleeping on the job. Silly Mia! Her friends wake her up and tease her for dreaming about that guy from her books again. It’s going to be a crazy week—busy, busy, busy! But if I’ve learned anything from the first movie, it’s that Mia will barely have to work in this one, with little to no consequences for the business.Mia’s sister asks her to watch her cat, but Mia is allergic, so she ends up falling asleep at the office again. She dreams about the book prince once more when there's a knock at the door. Gotta be honest—the lower third of his face looks a whole lot like the lower third of the dream prince’s face. He buys something and hands her a $100 bill. The next day, her friends tease her, thinking she's still dreaming, but then he shows up again. She’s not dreaming! Turns out, his name is Beau Cavannagh. The Cavannagh family is super wealthy, and Beau is next in line to run the whole thing. This is the type of family that has his entire life planned out, including who he’s supposed to end up with. In fact, he’s already engaged. But he keeps coming around, and the sparks are flying. There’s a lot of "will they or won’t they?" I think they will. She tells him this isn’t going to work—but then it does. They kiss. Yay.

'Tis the Season to Be Irish (Hallmark Channel - 2024) ft. Tyler Shaw

Rose Walsh is a home renovator who insists on being present anytime there's a showing of one of her properties. She’s interested in a cottage in Ireland and puts in an offer to a man named Sean—though her approach is unnecessarily spicy. When she arrives in Ireland, Sean recognizes her on the street and tries to talk to her, but she’s immediately wary—like STRANGER DANGER. She later shows up at the cottage, only to be shocked when she discovers that Sean is the same guy from the city. She declares that she’s going to flip the house, but he argues that house flipping is the worst thing to ever happen to homes. She insists, "Just show me the house."To her dismay, the house is an absolute disaster—she’s been house-fished. Sean tells her she should have read the fine print, and she’s left feeling discouraged.Things take an unexpected turn when she discovers that Sean essentially runs the town—he’s everything from the fire marshal to the local real estate agent. Although Rose is dead set against selling the house, the townspeople are eager for her to do so. Sean offers to help make the situation right. As Rose works on fixing up the house, Sean spends as much time with her as possible. They go out drinking, stay up all night, and somehow manage to form fully functioning sentences—so, things are going pretty well. They eventually agree that what the house really needs, more than a functioning roof or repairs, is a Christmas tree.Rose finally gets the house ready for a showing, and a couple expresses interest. When they ask why she’s selling, she admits, "I don’t know. Maybe I want to stay after all."In a wild twist, a woman—who turns out to be a famous pop star who’s recently shaved her head—arrives in the town, hiding from the public eye.Rose struggles with whether or not she should sell the house, even after receiving an offer. Sean keeps urging her to make a decision, not only because the buyers are pushing for an answer, but because he’s also super into her. During a romantic picnic, they almost kiss, but Rose says she needs more time.On the day of the cold plunge, Rose arrives and tells Sean she’s found a home—not with the cottage, but with him. He tells her that they don’t have to stay in Ireland; he’d go anywhere with her. They head to the water for the cold plunge, share a kiss, and run into the sea together.

Trivia at St. Nick's (Hallmark Channel - 2024) ft. Danny Pellegrino

Astronomy Professor Celeste is super excited about the annual Christmas Trivia Contest at Nick's Bar. It's a big deal—and not just for bragging rights. The winner gets a trophy called "The Stan," named after the best trivia competitor Nick's has ever seen. Celeste feels really good about this year because she has Richard, a two-time Jeopardy! winner, on her team! She loves everything about the university where she teaches—except for football. Speaking of football, meet Max, the offensive coordinator. He doesn't really have any plans this holiday season because his parents are going on a cruise. We're one day away from the first round, and Richard backs out. Celeste is really stressed. So stressed, in fact, that she gets mad at Max over how he handles the buffet—something she's downright wrong about. It's time for the first round, and Max shows up just to watch. But when the first round turns out to be about sports, they pull Max in to join the team, much to Celeste's chagrin. The first round ends, and they're down by one point. The rest of the team loves Max and wants him to stay for the next five days. Celeste protests, saying, "I'm sure he's busy." Max responds, "I'm actually wide open." Celeste is annoyed, but she knows winning is everything.Celeste clearly cares about this more than the rest of her team. She stays up all night studying and shows up the next day feeling incredibly intense. But does it help them win? No. In fact, they come in last place on night two.Max decides that the problem is they forgot to have fun. The next day, he invites the team to play a game of "Capture the Star" on the rock wall—an old classic. His theory? "If we have fun, we'll be happy. And if we're happy, we might just win." Celeste is hesitant but gives in—and ends up having a good time, maybe because they’re winning.Afterward, instead of studying, Celeste goes with Max to buy a Christmas tree, and they actually end up having a great time talking and getting to know each other. It's time for round three, and the "fun" strategy works! They go double or nothing and win first place in the round. Celeste and Max celebrate with a hug, and the sparks fly. He walks her home, and they connect even further. Max is pumped! The next day, they all gather for a Christmas Scavenger Hunt because Celeste thinks it could come in handy for trivia. But worst-case scenario, at least they’ll have fun! They split into teams of two, and of course, Celeste and Max team up. She’s shocked to find out that he’s a big reader—and it turns out this is the reason they don’t win the hunt. But she’s actually okay with it.It’s time for the next round, and they CRUSH IT! The team morale is at an all-time high, and Max and Celeste aren't tired at all. So, she takes him stargazing, and they have the best time. The good times keep rolling—at one point, they even hold hands. But they lose track of time. They’re rushing back for trivia when they have to swerve out of the way of some reindeer and end up with a flat tire. While waiting for a mechanic, Celeste snaps at Max for how they’ve lost focus on what's important. They make it back just in time for trivia—but not in time to save their first-place standing. They fall back to third. The next day, Celeste tries to get in touch with Max but can’t reach him. She assumes he’s mad at her. It turns out his phone broke, and he spent Christmas Eve trying to find a replacement. They make up and share a big kiss. They arrive just in time for the final round, and thanks to Max actually studying, the team ends up winning! Everyone celebrates by kissing. The provost speaks with Celeste and tells her that her new telescope has been approved—thanks to the money the football team brought in this year. Maybe football isn’t so bad after all. Max and Celeste agree to participate in trivia again next year, sealing it with a kiss.

Santa Tell Me (Hallmark Channel - 2024)

Olivia, a little girl, writes a letter to Santa asking him to reveal who her one true love will be. They go to sleep and wake up the next morning to find Santa has brought her a dollhouse. Stupid Santa. She thinks, "I'm sure Santa will give me a name soon—how long could it really take?"Fast forward 25 years: Olivia is now a hotshot dealmaker who always rates her Uber driver with stars and hands money to the Santa ringing a bell on the street. She works as a designer for sets at Style Home Network. As she's preparing for an upcoming shoot, Olivia gets called into her boss's office. They're interested in having her on camera! She's pumped—this is what she's worked for. But her excitement is quickly extinguished when she finds out Chris Davis is directing the special. Chris directs a show called Model Home, which Olivia thinks is tacky. She’s unsure how to feel, so she hops into her Uber and vents to the driver, Rodney, about how she thinks Chris is the worst possible choice. Rodney encourages her to give Chris a chance. Olivia asks, "How did you know his last name?" and then realizes, to her surprise, that Rodney isn’t really Rodney—it's Chris Davis in disguise.Chris explains that the network bought Olivia's childhood home for the remodel, and it’s going to be the feature of the special. Olivia protests that the house needs too much work for a one-episode show—it should be a full season. But Chris doesn’t budge, even when he almost falls through the wall.Olivia invites her sister Darcy over for some inspiration, and while they’re there, they hear a strange ringing in the walls. Olivia reaches inside a vent and finds a letter addressed to her. To her shock, it’s the letter she wrote to Santa all those years ago. She opens it, and a mysterious rhyme reveals her one true love's name: Nick. Olivia scoffs and throws the letter in the trash, but the next morning, it reappears in her possession. She throws it away again. Then, Olivia has not one, but three rom-com-worthy meet-cutes. She has an encounter with a Nick A in a coffee shop after a coffee swap, spills her coffee on a Nick B, and narrowly avoids getting hit by a truck thanks to a Nick C, who rescues her. And the letter keeps showing up!Olivia gets all three Nicks’ numbers and decides, "When life gives you three Nicks, you go on three dates." But will she even have time? She’s got a meeting with Chris at the house. The meeting doesn’t exactly go well. Her date with Nick A is next. He’s rented out an entire ice rink for just the two of them. They have a great time—until she accidentally pops a bottle of champagne cork right into his eye. Their romantic evening ends with a trip to the hospital, but they laugh it off.Back on set, Olivia and Chris’s relationship is still tense, but there's some undeniable flirty energy. Then, Olivia and Darcy visit a custom woodworking shop for potential show inspiration—and it turns out Nick B owns the shop. The pair head to a Christmas festival, where Olivia accidentally hits Nick B in the head with a snowball during a competition with Chris. He jokes, "Guess I'm a knock-out," but it’s hard to ignore the growing tension between Olivia and Nick B.Olivia’s date with Nick C is a disaster. He’s a firefighter who’s posing for a calendar, and after a cookie incident that triggers his nut allergy, he ends up in the hospital. Womp womp.Olivia is starting to freak out—what is she supposed to do? That’s when the letter in her purse changes again. This time, it says she must choose the right Nick by midnight on Christmas Eve. Darcy encourages her to date all three Nicks as much as possible before then.Cue the dating montage. While at her childhood home, Olivia finds Christmas decorations she thought were lost forever, bringing back fond memories. Chris stops by and suggests using some of her old sketches as inspiration for the remodel, which could save money on the set design. Olivia begins to warm to Chris, especially when he implements ideas from her sketches in the dining room.On a date with Nick C (still everyone’s least favorite), Olivia is inspired to put a giant bow on the house. Oddly, Chris agrees with the idea. He shows her the dining room, where he’s incorporated her childhood designs.Olivia starts to soften toward Chris. He’s actually pretty great, and they both want the same thing. But just as things start to look promising, Nick B arrives with a handmade reindeer. They talk about where to go on their date, but Olivia feels a disconnect with him. Then, she shows up at Chris’s house to decorate his tree, but when he invites her in, she insists she’s got plans. They try hugging twice, but it doesn’t quite happen, so they settle for a fist bump. Olivia giggles and walks away.On her date with Nick A, they’re under the mistletoe. He leans in for a kiss to take her mind off work, and sparks fly.The next day at work, Olivia and Chris watch the final cut of their pre-recorded segment. To celebrate, Chris surprises her with a winter wonderland set up at the network's prop warehouse. There’s even a snow machine. It’s magical. They walk out of the set and give money to a British Santa ringing a bell. Just as they almost kiss, Olivia gets a text, snapping her back to reality. As Christmas Eve approaches, Olivia is faced with the tough decision of choosing which Nick to pursue. The letter changes one final time, and the time has come to pick. It’s Christmas Eve, and Olivia is preparing for the live broadcast. All three Nicks show up to surprise her. Just as she’s about to go live, the three of them realize they’re all dating the same woman and end up in a ridiculous inflatable candy cane fight in the background of the broadcast. Olivia runs out to stop them, but they demand she choose. She can’t pick, so all three leave, and Chris storms off angrily. The special is a flop—or so Olivia thinks. Surprisingly, social media loves her and the Nicks, and the special goes viral. Olivia gets offered her own show!Olivia realizes that Chris is her Christmas dream man, but she’s going to have to stop him before his train leaves at midnight. Her sister locks her keys in the car, so they take a one-horse open sleigh to the station.Chris is at the train station when Olivia arrives, just as the train is about to leave. He’s talking to a British Santa in street clothes, and the two chat briefly. Chris goes to board the train but finds a letter instead of his ticket. The letter tells him getting on the train would be the biggest mistake of his life.Olivia arrives just as the train departs. But Chris isn’t on the train. He’s holding the letter that told him to stay. They apologize for how things went and admit they’ve both fallen for each other. Just as they’re about to kiss, the intercom announces a Nick Davis is needed. Olivia asks, “Wait, your name is Nick?” Chris explains, “Yeah, but I’ve gone by my middle name since I was a kid.” The clock strikes midnight, snow begins to fall, and they kiss—a big one.And just like that, Jack is alive. Olivia says, “This was worth waiting for,” and they kiss some more.

Meet Me Next Christmas (Netflix - 2024) ft. Alonso Duralde & Jacklyn Collier

The movie kicks off in... Chicago. But if you think that the Pentatonix are only popular in New York City, you'd be incorrect. Layla is at the airport to catch a flight home to New York City, but her flight is delayed. She FaceTimes her boyfriend, Tanner, and says, "Don't worry, I'll be home before our annual Pentatonix Christmas concert." He rolls his eyes and reminds her—and us—that they go every year. She says, "AND IT'S AWESOME." Tanner, not so sure. But she’s taking the delay well because she gets lounge access. While getting food, she bumps into a good-looking fella with a ton of layers on, and he has a couple of teacups in his hands—he says they're Christmas gifts. She sits down, prepared to watch It's a Wonderful Life on her phone and drink some wine, but ANOTHER hunk sits next to her. They immediately start hitting it off. His name is James—some might say Jimmy, but who knows? She finds one of the teacups in her bag, and he's like, "Just keep it. Maybe you can fill it with..." and they both say "paperclips" at the same time. She introduces him to Pentatonix, and he’s like, “I gotta get out of here ASAP." His flight is boarding. On his way out, he shoots his shot—he says, "In one year, if for some reason you're single, let's meet up at the Christmas Eve Pentatonix show." She says, “I’m flattered, but probably not happening, maybe.”Cut to one year later, and she did use that cup for paperclips and whatnot. She is still with Tanner. She goes home early to set up a romantic night with Tanner, but... he’s with another girl! IT IS SO OVER WITH TANNER! She’s moping around with her BFF and talking about airport James. Her friend tries to look up airport James on social media. Suddenly, she remembers THE PLAN! But she doesn’t have Pentatonix tickets this year because Tanner wanted to go see Macklemore. And tickets are sold out. She’s bummed, but then she sees a picture of James buying a ticket on the website! She’s committed to getting the tickets! But no luck. So, as a last-ditch effort, they decide to give Impromptu a shot—a service that can get you anything you need, at a cost. And who works at Impromptu? Teacup guy from the airport. His name is Teddy. Layla is going to be his client. He knows he knows her from somewhere but can’t place it. He looks up to see if they have a ticket in the database, but no luck. He says he knows a guy, but he has to go see him in person. She insists on going with him. His guy is nowhere to be found, but she thinks she found a guy who’s willing to sell his ticket to her. So, they go to meet him at this bar. She pays him more than she has by giving him a necklace. Turns out, it was a ticket for last year! While that’s happening, Teddy has slid into the Pentatonix DMs. They don’t respond right away, but Teddy keeps sending them info, including that he got pepper-sprayed—he really needs that ticket. While waiting to hear back from them, Teddy gets a lead—one of his clients is interested in potentially selling his ticket. Turns out, the clients are very odd but interested in giving them the ticket in exchange for them picking up a Chanel purse for him. They get to the Chanel store and have to wait in a very long line. Teddy flirts with a Chanel worker, and it’s looking good because that worker is going to snag the last one for them. But Layla gets "Christmas shoe'd" and decides they deserve the bag instead. Teddy keeps messaging Pentatonix, and Pentatonix is now cheering for Teddy and Layla to end up together. And after Teddy cooks her an amazing meal, Layla might be rooting for that too. Suddenly, Teddy gets good news—his cousin has two Pentatonix tickets. When they get there, they find out it's a bit more complicated. In order to get those two tickets, they have to team up to win a Christmas lip-sync competition. They work on it, then take a pit stop in the kitchen, and it’s at this point that she sees the same little teacup. It all comes together that they met last Christmas. There's a baking montage, and the sparks are beginning to fly hard. She ends up falling asleep on the couch. The next day, they go to the performance and crush it... AND IT ENDS WITH A KISS. They... get second place. The Pentatonix have been keeping up with it on social media, and even though they think Teddy and Layla should be together, they think Layla has the right to make a well-rounded choice. So, Layla is going to get a ticket, but Teddy has to come too and play Santa. Turns out, the Pentatonix just want to know if Teddy has a crush on Layla. And it turns out Layla has completely fallen for Teddy. She decides she’s going to go to the show to get TEDDY, not James. So she heads out into the snow as that classic Christmas song, "Hallelujah," plays. James gets to the venue and stands outside, flowers in hand, waiting on Layla. He starts walking away as she runs in. She gets her ticket from the box office and decides she needs to see Teddy ASAP. She goes to run backstage and bumps into James first. She says, "Oh hey, James, I’m not here for you, I’m here for Teddy. Sorry about that." Turns out, he was there to meet another woman anyway.Teddy very nervously comes down the chimney on stage as Santa and makes a big love declaration, hoping that Layla is listening. She’s not, though, because she’s still trying to get in through the back door. Finally, she runs back up to the front, barges in, and yells that she feels the same way. They share a big kiss as the Pentatonix sing around them.

Five Gold Rings (Hallmark Mystery - 2024)

We’re on a beach, which might make you think it’s not Christmas—but it is. How do we know? Well, a grandma and her granddaughter are wearing Santa hats! The grandma finds a St. Nicholas locket and explains to her granddaughter that with the name on the back of it, she’s going to work hard to find the owner. The girl, Audrey, shows Grandma a drawing she made for her for Christmas. They go back to Grandma’s shop, where they put the locket in a secret spot and frame the picture.Cut to the present day: Audrey is now a big-city artist. She’s heading back home for the holidays for the first time since Grandma passed away. Her mom tells her that Grandma left her the old desk in her will and requested that Audrey look in the secret spot. Inside, there’s a letter and five gold rings. In the letter, Grandma asks Audrey to work to return these five gold rings to their owners, just like they used to do every Christmas. She also insists that Audrey ask Finn O’Sullivan for help. So, Audrey goes straight to Finn’s office—he’s a private eye. Finn was actually the first person she and Grandma returned an item to. He was just a kid back then, but now he’s all grown up. They quickly catch up on the important stuff, like whether either of them is in a relationship—they’re not. Then, they get to work on the first ring. They’re able to figure out that it has something to do with a dancer who played Clara. After a few dead ends and a snowman-making break, they finally track her down. She’s thrilled!Onto the next: one night, Audrey is looking at one of the rings that has a small box attached. It pops open, revealing a key. After some sleuthing, they discover it opens a drawer in an old desk. Inside is a transcript for a book. They find the author—or rather, the author’s son—who didn’t even know his dad had been writing it. He’s overjoyed to have it.In the meantime, they track down a few more owners, which leaves them enough time to make a ton of homemade ornaments. They end up going to a ball, slow dancing, and almost kissing. Then Finn drops a bombshell: his grandma had already paid him for his services. Audrey thought he was in it for the love of the mission, so she’s upset. But he explains that his grandma paid him because his business was struggling. Finally, there’s one more ring left to return. They trace it back to a Santa, who reveals he actually made the ring for Audrey on behalf of her grandma. Audrey gives him a drawing she made of him. And then—she and Finn kiss.

Unwrapping Christmas: Tina's Miracle (Hallmark+ - 2024) ft. Ryan Pappolla

We enter All Wrapped Up, a shop that specializes in wrapping presents, with four employees: Mia, Olivia, Lilly, and, of course, Tina. Tina is put in charge of the Christmas gala, so she’s running around trying to gather everything needed for the event. She goes to a store, and a girl there starts snapping Polaroid pictures. The girl then hands the photos to her father, Michael Alonzo, for later.Despite it being the busy season at All Wrapped Up, Tina spends most of her time working on the gala. She even has a to-do list. Lucky for her, Michael Alonzo is walking right behind her—definitely not following her every move—and he asks her out. She declines, saying she’s too busy.Tina goes to check out the venue where the gala is held every year, but there’s bad news: it’s been sold. She discovers that Michael Alonzo is the one responsible for the sale. The next day, Michael visits her shop with his daughter, who snaps another photo of Tina without consent. He asks her out again, and this time, she agrees to meet up because she has something to discuss. She confronts him about the sale of the venue and the fact that it will be torn down. Michael says he’ll talk to the buyer, but only if she comes over for dinner—and it’s definitely not a date. She agrees, and when she shows up, his daughter takes yet another picture—four now, if you’re keeping track. They end up having a great time together, almost kiss, but then daddy duty calls. The next day, they do some charity work at a church, and their connection deepens. However, when Michael finds out that Tina has done some research on him, he gets angry.Tina later shows up at his house to apologize, admitting she was wrong about him. They go out to dinner and share a slow dance in the snow. Meanwhile, Tina is doing some digging and discovers an old deed. Long story short, the house never belonged to Michael Alonzo; it actually belonged to the people, which means it was never his to sell in the first place.Michael decides to open a school for his daughter in the building, and they can still hold the gala there. The event goes off as planned, and they share a kiss.

Holiday Mismatch (Hallmark Channel - 2024) ft. Justin Kirkland

Barbara is newly retired and really into keeping the house clean. She decides to join a Christmas committee. The meeting is supposed to start at 9:00 AM, but when she arrives, no one is there. Ten minutes later, the group leader, Cath, shows up and says, “Oh yeah, it’s a flexible 9.” The rest of the committee arrives, and they’re quite the characters. Barbara is clearly annoyed by this fly-by-night committee. When the opportunity arises for her to head up the committee budget, she jumps at it, but she’s shocked to discover that Cath has just been keeping the receipts in a literal shoebox. We meet Barbara’s son, Shane. She thinks he is lonely, so she wants to find him a date for the holidays using an app called Holiday Matchmaker, which she signs him up for without his approval. Then we meet Cath’s daughter, Lauren, and wouldn’t you know it, her mom also signed her up for the same dating app. They end up getting paired together.Lauren and Shane meet for coffee, but it doesn’t start well. Shane overhears Lauren talking to a friend, complaining about going on a blind date her mother set her up for. However, they end up hitting it off while discussing their mothers. Shane tells Lauren he plans to sell his theater business, but he’s feeling super stressed. To keep their mothers off their backs, they agree to pretend to date for the holidays.Unfortunately, both moms want to meet their children’s special someone. They decide to meet at a Christmas festival, and they’re both clearly disappointed that their kids ended up together. They conclude that the only logical thing to do is sabotage the relationship. So Barbara and Cath quickly devise a plan to break them up. After learning that Shane isn’t very handy, Cath has an idea: invite him to help pick out a Christmas tree with her and Lauren, forcing Shane to figure out how to get the tree on the car himself. However, the plan backfires when Shane and Lauren end up failing together. When they finally get the tree home, they discover there’s a rat inside. Shane is terrified of the rat, but Cath asks him to get it out, which he does, impressing Lauren. Plan failed.Next, Barbara comes up with another idea: invite Lauren to one of Shane’s shows. She hopes Shane will get upset if he thinks Lauren is pushing for the relationship to work. Plus, Lauren has bad stage fright, so when Shane invites her on stage for a quirky improv Christmas Carol, Barbara is excited. To her surprise, Lauren ends up having fun and is really impressed with the show. When their plans don’t work, Barbara climbs through a window to convince the volunteer playing Santa to come out after he locks himself in a room because he’s scared. Cath and Barbara work together to encourage him to get out there. They realize they make a pretty good team and need to work together to break up these two lovebirds. They decide to start hanging out, acting like they love each other, and really push this “big happy family” narrative in hopes of freaking Shane and Lauren out. However, they notice that Shane and Lauren might actually be good for each other—Lauren encourages Shane to go all in on theater, and he helps her step out of her comfort zone. While on a trolley, singing Christmas carols, Shane and Lauren both admit they’re actually falling for each other and agree to go to the Christmas Ball together.Barbara finds out that the relationship is fake but assumes it’s one-sided to get her off Shane’s back. She tells Cath, who gets really mad and advises Lauren to break things off with Shane because he’s a bad guy.At the ball, everything comes to a head when Barbara and Cath confront Lauren and Shane about the fake relationship. Lauren freaks out and ends things with Shane due to all the drama. Barbara and Cath start arguing at the ball, and Barbara quits the committee.Barbara’s husband, who hates being around her during this turmoil, encourages her to fix things with Cath. They make up and decide to work together to get Shane and Lauren back together. Cath shows up at Lauren’s workplace to apologize for meddling, and Barbara does the same with Shane. Lauren and Shane decide to give their relationship another chance, and they kiss! The families then spend Christmas together, which seems a bit fast. They kiss some more and sing songs.

Our Holiday Story (Hallmark Channel - 2024)

Chris shows up at his girlfriend Joanna's parents' house expecting to meet Joanna, but Joanna is running late. A couple of hours late, in fact. He's like, "I'll just wait on you." She's like, "Oh, they're definitely watching you from the window, so you're gonna have to go in." Just as Joanna is about to give him a piece of advice that starts with "Don't ask them about…," her phone dies. They invite Chris in to help decorate for their Christmas party. It's stepmom Nell and Dad Dave. Dave makes fun jokes like, "We might poison you with nuts." They sit down to get to know each other a little bit, and Chris asks a question: "How did you two meet?" They light up. It was 10 years ago to the date. He gets on this train full of people in ugly Christmas sweaters. Apparently, it's the inaugural ugly Christmas sweater convention. He finds the one person not wearing a Christmas sweater and sits across from her. It's Nell. He says chit-chat is hard, and she doesn't immediately tell him to get lost. She's a keeper. They begin to hit it off. The train stops due to ice, and he sees a sign for Fredo's Fruitcake, which she also happens to love. Two people who love fruitcake on the same train! He's like, "You know what, I’m gonna go get some." As he's in the store, the train begins to move. It leaves him behind! To make matters worse, they both remember each other's names incorrectly, with no way to contact each other!Dave is talking to his daughter and says, "I just hope that fate brings us back together." But he's a busy bee. Dave is a woodworker who is planning the town’s Christmas festival. He gets a letter from the city and has to call a woman named Eleanor. Who could that be?! Turns out she's against the festival because it isn’t good budget-wise, so the phone conversation does not go well. The next day, Dave and his daughter are walking around town, and she goes to pick up some coffee. Suddenly, Dave and Nell bump into one another! They realize that they both had the names wrong, and they're flirting hard! But then Dave gets an SOS text from his daughter. He calls, but there's no answer. So he's like, "I gotta go make sure she's okay, don't move!" Before he gets back, Nell has to move her car to avoid getting a parking ticket. Womp womp.Joanna can't believe that he didn't get her number again! So, she posts a "Missed Connection" on his behalf. Believe it or not, they bump into each other again! This time, they exchange numbers immediately! Well, they try. He doesn't have his phone, so he tries committing it to memory but can't because people on the street are just yelling out numbers. And she puts his number in her phone but ends up dropping it before she can save it!Wouldn't you know it, she ends up finding "his" missed connection. So she messages him, and Joanna gets it and asks her out on a date on behalf of Dave. So she comes over for his Christmas party, and they are having a great time. They're slow dancing when suddenly it all clicks for Nell—Dave is the David she's been arguing with about the Christmas festival. So she leaves and ghosts him!Dave and Joanna are so confused, but it all becomes clear to Joanna when she joins Dave for a meeting about the festival and sees Nell. So she convinces him to leave. She decides to try to make this work by getting Nell to meet with her and tell her that she knows who she is, but her dad still doesn't. So Joanna comes up with a plan to help Nell tell David the truth. She shows up at his farm with a fruitcake, and he gives her a tour of the festival. She begins to realize how much work he's been putting into this festival and that maybe it's not an entire waste of resources. She finally comes clean about who she is, but before she can, he tells her that he really likes her. The moment is so romantic, and she can't find it in herself to tell him the whole truth. Oh hey, back in the present, Joanna finally shows up after a bunch of travel hurdles. They don't quite get off to a strong start. He tells her that he loves her, and she creams him with icing and runs off. He decides he should just leave. Back in the past, Nell is about to tell Dave the truth, but he ends up bashing "Eleanor" before she can. Then the fire marshal shows up and shuts the festival down. She feels so bad, so she finally goes to tell him the truth. She starts by saying how much she likes him and how great he makes her feel. Just as she's about to say who she is, the fire marshal comes back in and is like, "GREAT NEWS, you pass!" and hands Eleanor the report, and it all becomes clear to David. Dave is really mad. She says she was scared to tell him the truth because what if David and Eleanor can't be together? "I just want to be Dave and Nell." He's like, "Well, maybe we aren't meant to be," and leaves.Back in present day, Joanna texts Chris, "I love you," and her parents encourage her to go get him. No regrets. Back to the story that matters, Eleanor goes to find David and tell him that she was wrong and that she wants him to be a part of the magic he's created. He tells her that he is sorry for what he said; he doesn't find her unlikable at all. She says, "You're my fate." He says, "We belong." And they kiss in front of Santa in an early running for kiss of the season. Back to present day, Chris runs to make it back to the festival, and Joanna is so happy to see him come back. They both say they love each other and THEY KISS. Chris' parents come to spend Christmas as one big happy family, and they immediately ask Nell and Dave, "How'd you two meet?"
