Last week on Fox News the subject of vigilante violence was center focus as the network lionized Daniel Penny, a former Marine who was acquitted of criminally negligent homicide for killing a homeless man, while lambasting the public reaction towards the cold-blooded assassination of the CEO of UnitedHealthcare. The folks at Fox also seemed disappointed that Black Lives Matter protesters weren’t rioting across the country over Penny’s acquittal. Sean Hannity and Dr. Drew Pinsky both weaved fairy tales about the healthcare system in the United States while Hannity also obsessed over mysterious drones, Jessica Tarlov schooled her co-hosts on Biden’s economic accomplishments and Tom Homan said he would prosecute governors if they got in the way of his plans for mass deportations. Last week on Fox the outrage machine was on overdrive as the overpaid stuffed shirts expressed their disgust at President Biden’s decision to pardon his son Hunter. Judge Jeanine conveniently forgot to mention that Trump pardoned her ex-husband, Steve Doocy and Emily Compagno both declared that the president-elect was already improving the economy and Jesse Watters joked about annexing Canada and Greenland while promoting conspiracy theories about Iran rigging the 2020 election.Jessica Tarlov was the only person on the network that mentioned Donald J. Last week the folks at Fox demonized Vice President Kamala Harris for raising and spending money, trashed Joe Biden for celebrating Thanksgiving with members of the U.S. Coast Guard and tried to cover up that Trump really was connected to Project 2025. As Trump continued to pick unqualified, radical people with sex scandals for various high-ranking positions in his administration the right-wing propaganda machine tried desperately to distract with segments about Kamala Harris wasting donor money by spending it. The Murdoch owned media empire is already lowering its viewers expectations for the next Trump administration. Judge Jeanine Pirro, Jesse Watters and Greg Gutfeld completely demonized and trashed transgender Americans - portraying them as sexual predators lingering in women’s bathrooms. Fox News decided to lean into the skid and scare the bejeezus out of its audience with a combination of the longshoreman strike, increased violence in the Middle East and the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Late in the week Donald J. Trump told multiple lies about the federal response to the hurricane that Fox News hosts were happy to amplify. Sean Hannity mentioned lies about FEMA over 50 times in two days. Fox also ignored the easily verifiable timeline associated with the criminal indictment surrounding New York City Mayor Eric Adams. The FBI started investigating Adams two years before the mayor started feuding with President Biden. Fox also gave up an hour of its airtime for Trump to use as a platform for his campaign. The network also featured a lot of Trump including him on a n episode of “Gutfeld,” and giving away it’s primetime coverage to show a live feed of a Trump rally in Long Island, NY. Laura Ingraham whipped up fear about Haitian immigrants while Lawrence Jones claims there was no racial aspects to their harassment.
