Marq is back on the show this episode and ready to get down to business and discuss Disneyland Paris with Beth. (You thought he was going to defeat the Huns, didn’t you? We too were hoping for a dramatic, Mulan-style entrance where he defeated a villainous horde, but we'll take what we can get). Rémy Gets a Remake, kinda: Ratatouille: L'Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy is closing soon for a major refurb. We discuss the new queue scene, technical upgrades, and the controversial move to 2D. Is it a smart practical choice or a loss of identity? We break it down. Merch Madness:We cover the two hottest (and most contrasting) ways to lighten your wallet: the timelessly elegant souvenir spoons vs the impossibly elusive Toy Story Playland key. May the odds be ever in your favor (they won't be). Feel-Good Magic: A quick, nice note on Disneyland Paris's wonderful long-running partnership with Secours Populaire Français. THE BIG ONE: The permits are granted! The Lion King plan, codenamed "Project Sun," is officially a go. Listener Mail: A Grand Tour We help out Barb from Manitoba, who is planning an epic around-the-world trip from Canada to India and wants to squeeze in some Disney magic. We answer her questions on: The best time to stop at DLP to end jet lag fast. How many days you need to see the resort without rushing. Which hotel offers the best bang for your buck (or loonie). And we tackle the ultimate question: is it even possible to add the three Asian Disney parks to this already monumental itinerary? (Spoiler: We have thoughts.) All this, and we manage to keep the podcast coup attempts to a minimum. It's good to have you back, Marq. Links & Mentions: For a deep dive into the Lion King land blueprints, check out the fantastic video analysis from our friends at The Main Street News. This week, we're tackling Catherine's fantastic questions about visiting Disneyland Paris with mobility challenges - perfect for first-timers navigating DLP's accessibility! More In This Episode: 🏰 DLP News: Elsa’s icy new digs are officially chilling in Arendelle, World Princess Week is assembling the ultimate royal squad (Raya’s finally getting her invite!), and M&M’s is back with a chocolatey scheme to send you to the parks for free. 🎢 Ride Roulette:The truth about Premier Access and Priority Cards (spoiler: you CAN conquer both parks without a marathon training montage) 🎂 Birthday Hacks: Snagging castle-view dinners + why Royal Banquet beats La Table de Lumiere (sorry, Aurora) 🎄 Christmas Sneak Peek: What holiday magic awaits starting November 8th (hint: it involves "snoap" and possibly jazz-hands Mickey) Pro Tip Dropped: "Want fireworks views with your birthday dinner? Book Royal Banquet at 6:30pm and bribe...er, politely inform the concierge about your celebration!" Listener Shoutout: Special thanks to Catherine for her epic question - we promise your 40th birthday trip will be far more magical than that time Beth tried to pronounce "Bath"! 🎙️ Next Episode: Barb's worldwide adventure awaits - prepare for January park tips, thermal underwear recommendations, and our controversial ranking of mulled wine spots!
Dedicated to DLP Podcast – Episode 219 Show Notes Hosted by your favorite Disneyland Paris over-analyzers: Beth (professional hype-woman) & Marq (professional skeptic). In This Episode: Vanessa’s Mysterious Absence Our co-host Vanessa is busy converting the masses to Disney fandom—one Pilates class at a time. Beth demands proof, and Marq delivers with an audio clip of Vanessa leading a Mickey-approved workout. Truly, she’s doing Walt’s work. "A Million Splashes of Colour" Returns in 2026 Dust off your neon fanny packs! The parade/show hybrid is back, now with more French-speaking characters (except Mickey, who’s stubbornly Anglophone). The Thing Meet & Greet = Chaos DLP learned the hard way that dropping a superhero into a crowd without a queue is like offering free Doritos in Frontierland. Spoiler: It got clobberin’ time levels of messy. Gazebo Garden’s Very British Makeover As Walt Disney Studios Park transforms into Disney Adventure World,Disneyland Paris is sprinkling some very British whimsy into the new Gazebo Garden, and the Imagineers have clearly been taking notes from classic literature. The scenes include a bear wearing a shirt... but no trousers and some dogs running an unlicensed foster care center. The authorities have been contacted. Listener Mail: Your Questions, Our (Strong) Opinions Cara asks: Can you ditch your bags at Newport Bay and sprint to Versailles? (Spoiler: Yes, but maybe wear some Air Jordans!)) Tiffany shares her epic April 2025 trip report—3.5 park days, 7 people, and one toddler. Episode 218 of the Dedicated to Disneyland Paris Podcast is all about AC, ADHD and ATOT (Annette's Triple Onion Threat). But as always we deal with the positive side of things, and even have a snappy "On This Episode" preview to kick the show off, so you can decide within the first minute if you want to keep listening (spoiler: Ya do.) Imagineering Secrets Exposed :The team behind Disney Tales of Magic reveals how they pulled off drones, lasers, and that epic "Ze Battle Between Zurg and Buzz" (Adrien, we stan a French king). Plus: Did they really get a good deal on slightly used Olympic lasers? Annette’s Diner Strikes Again : Beth reluctantly reports on a burger so extra it lists onions 3 times and comes with a matching frisbee (RIP guests who try to throw it in the park). Buzz Busted : Lightyear’s Laser Blaster ride closes for upgrades—dads, start training those trigger fingers! Drama: Georgina’s epic trip-planning saga (princesses! ADHD! Alleged Fort Comstock slander) and James’s heartwarming follow-up (shoulder-riding kids, single Disney Dad alert). Plus: Is Phantom Manor scary or just French Gothic adorable? (Spoiler: It’s uber-spooky) OFFICIAL PODCAST SPONSOR ALERT: Shoutout to Easy Go Shuttle—your fairy godmother of stress-free transfers. With everything going on right now, many entertainment and tourism sectors are down, but Disneyland Paris seems to be Starbucking the trend. And that's despite it being somewhat of an inbetween year for the resort. This episode looks at the star attractions getting special attention in 2025, Space Mountain with its 30th Anniversary, and Big Thunder Mountain which is reopening June 21st after the first 6-month refurbishment closure. And there's also official news about two other major refurbishments to local Starbucks outlets (spoiler, they're not on Main Street.) We have the return of Vanessa after many months to play DLP This or That with Beth, will she choose cocktails and dry biscuits at Lounge Lightspeed over drinks at the Fleur de Lys Bar? She also alternates trip review duties with Marq in Love Our Listeners, because the report James, Finn and Owen sent in is so epic and detailed it took three of us to handle. But you do want to listen because this Ep has all the goods, the bads and the virtual queues to inform and inspire you to drop 4-figure sums on Premier Access during your next trip. If you're a first-time listener, you may just want to start here. This show is sponsored by Easy Go Shuttle, and you can book your trouble-free philosophy privat transport by going to www.easygoshuttle.com/disneyland-transfers and don't forget to enter our special discount code 5D2DLP5 in the comment section when booking your trip!
In episode 216, Marq and Beth go full *National Treasure* on the mysterious closure and equally baffling return of The Legends of the Wild West in Fort Comstock—Was it budget cuts? Dust allergies ? Or just DLP’s way of generating a bit of news for us poor Disney podcasters ? At any rate, it’s back now and Beth is going to be OK. Then, we pivot to other critical debates: the best (and *worst*) ways to haul your sleep-deprived family to DLP, and whether two days in the park counts as a “vacation” or a “cry for help.” GEMS YOU CAN’T MISS: Mickey and the Magician: The only place where "abracadabra" actually works - turning overtired parents into wide-eyed believers of Disney magic (for approximately 22 minutes). Even your teenager will crack a smile... though they'll deny it later. Tower of Terror:** Free adrenaline *and* a life lesson in gravity. Win-win. LISTENER ASSIGNMENT Got a wild Fort Comstock theory? A DLP horror story? Proof that the Disneyland Paris train is a time machine? Slip into our DMs. Or block us if you think we’re liking your cute dog too much. ⚠️ DISCLAIMER: This episode was *almost* lost to Riverside recording tech gremlins. If you hear terrifying ghostly echoes, it’s just a tortured soul over in Phantom Manor… or Beth screaming into her pillow. We do not recommend that platform for recording your podcast, please send us recommendations for alternative remote recording platforms if you’d like to keep us sane. * Shoutout to Our Sponsor: Easy Go Shuttle! Need a ride to the magic? Easy Go Shuttle has you covered—with this CORRECT link below. https://www.easygoshuttle.com/disneyland-transfers
Hold onto your Mickey ears, folks, because Marq and Beth are taking you on a thrill ride through the latest Disneyland Paris developments, World Premieres (yes, plural) questionable naming choices, and Beth’s emotional breakdown over some shocking attraction news (RIP, old friend). Here’s what to expect: * Abu Dhabi has joined the chat: Disney’s Big Royal Expansion. There’s a whole new world rising in the United Arab Emirates, a Disney Adventure made for and paid by actual Princes and, we assume, princesses. Somewhere in the world where they don’t cry over spirit jersey prices. Beth and Marq debate: Is this Bob Iger’s final genius move before handing over the keys to the Kingdom? *Studio One’s Grand Reopening: Now with More… Confusing Music? Back in our humble expansion park, Studio One has reopened—but now it’s called « World Premiere » (because Disney loves a rebrand). Visitors are loving the glow-up, but the music playlist? A bit baffling, not that we are hating on John Williams. Is it Hollywood glam or an overly modern muddle? You decide. * Hollywood Gardens: Great Vibes, Meh Menu The atmosphere? Chef’s kiss ! The food? The chef is not ready to kiss anybody quite yet. Beth and Marq discuss why this spot nails the aesthetic but fumbles the food variety. This place deserves more than fish burgers and star nuggets. But the dessert do look sweet! * Disney’s Naming Conventions: What’s in a wor(l)d? Park terminology. We’ve discussed this before, but why does Disney have to reuse the same three words in every park name? Like, do you need a Premier Access to have a World Premiere Adventure? Send help ! *😱 Beth’s Heartbreak Her most beloved attraction is (apparently) getting the axe, and Beth is not okay. Tune in for a passionate rant that’s equal parts vengeful and tragic. It is a sad day for quirk, whimsy and eccentric walk-throughs in Frontierland. * Feedback & a Trip Report: We really LOL ! -When it comes to family trips, pack snacks, embrace the app, and for the love of Mickey, let the kids nap! And remember - Flexibility is Key! Plans are just suggestions when toddlers and DLP mix. * Shoutout to Our Sponsor: Easy Go Shuttle! Need a ride to the magic? Easy Go Shuttle has you covered—because walking to Disneyland Paris from CDG is NOT the happily ever after you signed up for. https://www.easygoshuttle.com/disneyland-transfers

(Shoutout to our international Disney fans !) Whether you're a first-timer or just someone who enjoys obsessively researching the latest park details, this episode might be your new best friend. Think of it as a Disney trip GPS, but with more scope for bad jokes and fewer reroutes. What’s on the itinerary? - Getting there and being there: from airport hacks (TGV or bust!) to navigating the park like a pro. - When to visit and dodge the crowds (hint: Ooparc is your new best friend). - Dining decently: why some restaurants are worth the reservation, but maybe raise your DLP snack game. - The scoop on Walt Disney Studios — because who doesn't like a peek behind the walls? - Do-Not-Miss DLP attractions: from the legendary dragon under Sleeping Beauty’s castle to Big Thunder Mountain - just don’t miss your Premiere Access slot ! - Using the Disneyland Paris app: for the full experience don’t let your phone run empty. Extra pro tip: Beth’s official review of DLP coffee? It’s not as good as Joffrey’s at WDW — but hey, you take what you get! So grab your mouse earphones, as we hope to turn your Disneyland Paris trip from “meh” to “MAGICAL!” Remember, a little planning + a lot of Nutella = the perfect DLP day. Disneyland Paris: Where Snacks Meet the Force (and Occasionally a Ride Closure) – Do Not Skip This Episode Recap! Join your favorite DLP radio transmission operatives, Beth and Marq, as they dive into the wild, whimsical, and sometimes "temporarily unavailable" world of **Disneyland Paris**! Ride Roulette: Which attractions are open, which are "getting a magical makeover" (aka closed), and what’s coming soon? Spoiler: More construction walls than the Emperor's fortress. May the 4th Be With You (And Your Stomach): We dish on Star Wars snacks, from lightsaber snacks (is that a churro or an actual Sith weapon?) to cookies that are hopefully not as dry as the dunes of Tatooine. Do not get too excited, DLP only has a Burger, a Macaron, and two (non-Wookie) cookies. Maybe next year. The Great Wall of Disney (Studios) : Rides come and go, but the walls? The walls are forever. Or at least until the next expansion opens (at least 5 lion years.) Disney Music Festival: Where else can you cry to "Let It Go" while eating a Mickey-shaped beignet? Beth and Marq debate their fave performances ( spoiler- nothing says "magical" like rodent DJs ). Meet & Greet Greatness: Say "bonjour" to virtual queues for characters Pass the kids please: Introducing a children’s annual pass—AKA "How to Bankrupt Parents in the Most Magical Way Possible." Love Our Listeners: Real guests, real drama, real fun—"We waited HOW long for Crush’s Coaster?!" Plus, dining reviews that answer the eternal question: "Are these French fries legal to sell to Belgians?" Final Thoughts: Despite the walls, the waits, and the ever-changing landscape, Beth and Marq remind listeners that Disneyland Paris still delivers the magic — there are giddy gasps between the gaping gaps. Listen now before your next virtual queue slot expires! Please walk to your next destination, and follow Dedicated to DLP on Instagram and Facebook. Or send your own questions, remarks and trip reports to dlp@dedicatedtodlp.com With special thanks to the BDX droids for their comments.
It's the 12th of April 2025 and that means Disneyland Paris is celebrating its 33rd Anniversary! To mark the occasion DLP invited InsidEars members to a special presentation with various announcements, as well as a tour of select World Premiere and Disney Adventure World construction sites. We were not there in person but recorded this episode on the day with all the information we could gather from our friends of the show, socials and Discord to bring you the Mufasa Shortbread Biscuit of news that is this episode. Yum. We also have a Love Our Listeners letter from Brian who had a five star experience, and we look ahead to what the rest of 2025 has on offer. Thanks for listening!
Join us for the latest snack and other important Disneyland Paris news, listener mail and messages, Beth's not-so-news segment and guaranteed chaos with an adorable cameo as we go mainly script-free on this episode. It's liberating, exilerating and yet somehow still entertaining. Well, that's for you to decide. We're just having fun with whatever DLP throws at us. Overpriced eggs. Construction Walls. But no more Turkey Legs. Yes, we face reality too sometimes. But then Beth pivot's right back to Superkitties. It's the purrfect addition to the DLP show roster, in her opinion. This episode is brought to you by Blurry Churros: Are you Churro 'bout that?
Do you have to be bribed with brioche to walk through Disney Village? Does Peter Pan's Flight make you scream your head off? This could mean that you or someone you love is a toddler. But don't panic! Beth and Vanessa will tell you where to buy that brioche, how to speed run that diaper change and a myriad of other hints for getting through your DLP trip with a tiny tot in tow. But before all that, Beary Poppins makes an appearance in our listener mail section and friend of the show Ulrich weighs in on Disney content languages and AI stuff. Our show is RSPCA approved* and we'd never hurt a goat. Really! *we are not, but could maybe be. We are all super nice to animals.
Greetings valued listeners! We return with another episode dedicated to the DLP news drought and try to find human connection in the way we prepare, fill and present our show. Not an easy task, you say? Well there is hope, and your relationship with this podcast is more intimate and relatable than you might think! Luckily Georgina saves us this time with an extensive LOL letter and trip report, especially useful for all you expectant mothers out there. Fathers to be can also get some nuggets of interest. Get involved! The future of this show depends on the You You Are!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
In this ultra-engaging episode of the Dedcicated to Disneyland Paris Podcast, hosts Marq, Beth, and Vanessa discuss the magical winter wonderland created by recent snowfall at Disneyland Paris, an exciting contest for a free stay at the park, upcoming changes in Disney Village, and breaking news on a character meet and greet area. There's another Love Our Listeners with dining reservation tips from Georgina and we explore the implications of a new chat function for those reservations and delve into the recently introduced dynamic ticket pricing system, examining its potential impact on guest experiences. In a brand new segment we welcome Stuart from DLP Tips for Irish as he enlightens us on his recent experience at the Disneyland Paris Annual Pass Christmas Party. The ambiance, character interactions, food availability, and the impact of weather on the event are topped by his tips for staying warm during the cold, cold night winter nights. Then, spoiler alert, he shares his impressions of the new Dr. Strange: Mystery of the Mystics show, highlighting its impressive production value, and what you get for your money compared at regular Disneyland Paris experiences compared to other Disney parks. We are ultra excited for you to hear this show, and keep an eye out for us on our next adventure at DLP on the 14th of December!
Do we have an episode for you? (Yes we do). We discuss all the just-announced details of Disney Tales of Magic, the new Nighttime Spectacular at Disneyland Paris starting January 10th, 2025. We discuss the current state of attractions at DLP compared to Liseberg Park in Gothenburg, including ride operations and efficiency, and the potential impact of the new show on the Disneyland Paris experience including the limitations of drone usage. The announcement of the first-ever Disney Music Festival gets discussed, as well as the excitement surrounding the Disney Enchanted Christmas season. We also have a two letters from Georgina in Love Our Listeners, as well as a special voice message from her rather unruly buddy. Don’t miss our special Christmas campaign in the middle of the show, in which we call for your generosity during these difficult times. But the most important part of this show is the return of a very special person, an integral part of this show and one to guide us through the next year of developments at Disneyland Paris with her on-brand, on-topic opinion and insights. By the way that beautiful piece of music is an arrangement of Magic Everywhere by Mike Attinger and you can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ew9acVVpJ88 Like so many others in the past week, come join us on Bluesky, we're very active there with a lot of other DLP and Disney parks accounts! https://bsky.app/profile/d2dlp.bsky.social And we're also still posting on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dedicatedtodlp and Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dedicatedtodlp/ and sometimes Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@Dedicatedtodlp
Beth is back! Perfectly timed to discuss recent developments at Disneyland Paris, including the closure of Fort Comstock (gasp) and the upcoming refurbishment of Big Thunder Mountain (double gasp). We also help with listener Karla with her trip planning questions, providing insights on navigating DISNEYLAND PARIS during busy periods, including the value of the Premium Ultimate Exclusive Premier Access passes, strategies for dining reservations. We also delve into the Halloween celebrations at the park, sharing our thoughts on the current state of events and character interactions, along with personal favourite memories from Halloween seasons past. Ah, Main Street after Midnight, we miss you…
In part 2 of this special Ears-only edition of The Dedicated to DLP Podcast, we continue our wide-ranging discussion with Disney DIScord's Graeme and Bernardo about our chosen topics from the present and future. These include the Insidears Social Ambassadors programme, an exclusive lifting of the veil about the mysterious EuroDisney Club by one of its members, the unexpected attendance rate during the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, the sinking of Big Thunder Mountain, the expansion of Walt Disney Studios and the opening of World of Frozen, the next chapter of Disneyland Paris park (with a special mention of Discovery's Edge and Grogu's Podcoaster), and how Casa Giulia will fit into the transformation of Disney Village. It's a fascinating chat and if you missed Part 1, you can listen to episode 202 before or after this one. It doesn't change the flow. Finally once again apologies to Beth for again not mentioning Fort Comstock, but we will deifinetely return to that topic in our next episode because something is afoot with the Legends of the Wild West... Let us know if you have any comments, insights or corrections even if we do have to issue another Pardon My French segment. In this special Ears-only edition of the Dedicated to DLP Podcast, we have a fun discussion with Graeme and Bernardo of Disney DIScord, seperately also known as DLRP Roundup and The Mainstreet News. Part 1 of DLP Past, Present & Future covers our chosen Disneyland Paris topics of the past, which include but are by no means limited to Le Visionarium, parades of yesteryear and a special magical song introduced for a previous DLP Anniversary. We think you'll find it a little nostalgic and possibly revealing, depending on your Disneyland Paris mileage. Since this recording ran for two hours we've divided it into two parts, the next covering present and future topics, but you'll only have to wait one week for it to drop, not the usual two. Let us know if you have any comments, insights or corrections even if we do have to issue another Pardon My French segment. Email dlp@dedicatedtodlp.com Our website is www.dedicatedtodlp.com The Disney DIScord Podcast The Main Street News DLRP Roundup Thanks for listening!
