Renzo Maleka was born in Newcastle, KZN and grew up in a town called Harrismith in the eastern Free State. Growing up Renzo was exposed to a variety of music genres and this formed the core of his love for music. He was introduced to House music in 2004 and to the art of deejaying in 2009. Since then his love for this genre has been maturing by the day. DJ Vernon Location Pretoria Gauteng About DJ Vernon DJ Vernon is undoubtedly one of Pretoria's best known DJ and new producer. Born in 1977, this party king began his DJ career in 1996 in various clubs in Durban white attending graduate school at the University of Durban Westville. Vernon soon became a favourite amongst the varsity parties and he was not a surprised when he was poached by the Varsity campus Radio station as Resident mix House dj for the afternoon drive time slot hosted by now popular dj Just-Ice. In 2004 dj Vernon moved to Pretoria from Durban and established his own Sound Hiring Company called Respect Events Management which has established loyal clients such as OutSuarence, Standard Bank, SABMiller, BrandHouse, numerous Hotels and Conference venues in Pretoria, various clubs and pub lounges in Pretoria and Johannesburg. Dj Vernon is currently celebrating new success as a producer in the field of House music. His first single HeartBeat of a dj is on LeeraJones debut compilation released in September 2009 and enjoying airplay at the Gauteng Youth Station Y-Fm and urban radio, Metro FM. The same single has also been selected at the South African Music Conference for the AXE' deodorant compilation and also has been selected for a Levi's Stores CD Compilation to be mixed by dj Clive Bean. A remix of the same track is already up for release by Multiracial Records dj Gregg Nate. DJ Vernon is well known as a talented, committed, music-loving DJ and new-producer, and it is no wonder that simultaneously with his own recordings he worked on and performed live DJ sets he had always dreamed of, in Limpopo, KZN, North West and his current province of location, Gauteng. DJ Vernon's live sets consist of a percussionist, guitarist and keyboard. These live tours are currently done once in four months and or on special request and the turnout at these shows have been amazing. Dj Vernon is currently resident dj at Pretoria's deep house venue, House 22, where he has played alongside ALL South African top house djs, namely, Fresh, Christos, Black Coffee, Culoe de Song, Vinny Da Vinci, just to name a few. Also dj Vernon is currently a mix-tape dj for drive time show at popular Pretoria radio Station TUT top stereo on Wednesdays and Fridays. DJ Vernon has also supported up and coming female djs in Gauteng by hosting a night from 2006 -- 2008 at house 22, themed, Chicks with Decks which featured now successful female djs such as Zinhle, MissRed, SoulSista, Boipelo, just to name a few. The Chicks with decks on Fridays was a pioneering theme for the female djs symbolized by the amazing response from the public and the Media at large. Zinhle and Zoey progressed to be guest djs at respectively Y-Fm and SABC1' Jika-Majika, a dance show TV programme, and recently female dj Groove Candi who is also on the same SABC music show. Currently dj Vernon regularly host monthly events at Fashion TV-Brooklyn and House 22 with his established networks of djs and performing artists from labels such as Souistic (BlackCoffee), Katsaitis Muzic (Christos), House Afrika Records (Vinny Da Vinci).
