Many might be surprised to hear that there is a lot of debate surrounding the messages of Jesus and Paul. Some scholars will attest that the two messages are at odds with one another. Is this the case? What implications does that have for the Christian faith if it's true? That’s going to be our topic for today, and to discuss it I have Dr. Marvin Pate.Specifically, in relation to the Apostle Paul, Dr. Pate has written books including The End of the Age Has Come: The Theology of Paul and Apostle of the Last Days. I will leave links in the description below for those who want to check out Dr. Pate’s books.Check out Dr. Pate's Books below:The End of the Age Has Come: The Theology of PaulApostle of the Last Days: The Life, Letters, and Theology of Paul40 Questions on the Historical JesusCrucified in the Media:  Finding the Real Jesus Amidst the HeadlinesThe Writings of JohnRomansIf you enjoy this podcast and want others to hear about it, pleasego to this link to leave a 5-star review!! When you look at what skeptics are saying about the Christian faith, often you will hear the argument that Jesus never claimed to be God. In this episode, we are going to be talking about how Jesus claimed to be divine in order to show that he really did make the claim. We have Mikel Del Rosario joining us to talk about the subject. Mikel helps Christians explain their faith with courage and compassion. He’s a doctoral student in the New Testament department at Dallas Theological Seminary, and he is the author of Accessible Apologetics. Mikel also serves as Cultural Engagement Manager at the Hendricks Center, as well as co-host of the Table Podcast for DTS.Visit Mikel's apologetics website, ApologeticsGuy for some amazing resources!Click here to purchase Accessible ApologeticsYou can find out more about the Table Podcast here!If you enjoy this podcast and want others to hear about it, pleasego to this link to leave a 5-star review!! The culture's hostility toward God, Christians, and the Bible has rapidly increased in the last 20-30 years. This has caused confusion in the Church concerning how it engages. Lucky for us, there’s been a game-changer of a book written on the topic of cultural engagement to help the Church see what biblical cultural engagement looks like. The book is Culture Intelligence: Living for God in a Diverse, Pluralistic World and was written by Dr. Darrell Bock, who also happens to be our guest today in this two-part episode!Dr. Darrell Bock is Executive Director of Cultural Engagement at the Hendricks Center for Leadership and Senior Research Professor of New Testament Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary.Order your copy of Cultural IntelligenceCheck out the Table PodcastIf you enjoy this podcast and want others to hear about it, please go to this link to leave a 5-star review!! Why should we even care about the culture’s ever-increasing skepticism about God, Christianity, and the Bible? If you’re a parent this should be easy to answer. You will one day, if you haven’t already, send your child out into the world where they will be exposed to this culture. Don’t you think it’s pretty important that before you send them out on their own to equip them with logical reasons for why Christianity is true and good? Our guest today is Dr. Frank Turek, who is the President of CrossExamined.org, a non-profit ministry that conducts I Don’t Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist seminar on college campuses, churches, and high schools. In this episode, Dr. Turek and I are going to be discussing how we can know Christianity is true by looking at two of the four questions which come from the book I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be an AtheistClick here to purchase I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be an AtheistClick here to purchase Stealing From God: Why Atheists Need God to make their CaseClick here to purchase Correct, Not Politically CorrectClick here to purchase Legislating MoralityCrossExamined WebsiteCrossExamined YouTubeCrossExamined InstagramCrossExamined FacebookCrossExamined TwitterIf you enjoy this podcast and want others to hear about it, please go to this link to leave a 5-star review!!
