Description

Traumatic, disabling musculoskeletal injuries or spinal cord injury that result in paralysis are both life altering experiences. No doubt about it. We don’t see it coming. No matter how it happened it is our worst nightmare.

Once the initial shock and life threatening health status is behind us, each of us has the power to choose how we respond to the adversity. In the wake of an injury, some choose to give up or forever see themselves as diminished and disabled. Others choose a different path.

Defy Injury is a podcast for those people – people seeking answers, believing more is possible and ready to defy their injury.

Every week, I will interview individuals who have defied the odds after injury or who can shed light on the journey from injury to renewal. Some of my guests were told they would never walk again and now enjoy full mobility. Others have found ways to create a fulfilling and active life even with permanent injury or paralysis. Defying injury means believing in yourself and finding your own way to move forward. Our mantra is -

This is your life.  This is your time.

Know your limits then defy them.

I invite you to join me on this inspiring journey. I have a lot of amazing and true-life stories to showcase from individuals who have experienced the trauma and challenges of life changing injuries. Their stories can help you understand your own circumstances and motivate you to reject the limitations others may have put upon you or you have put upon yourself. http://defyinjury.com
