There is no question that the path that led Lori and Chad down the aisle is one that is unique to many. How could anyone ever expect that these two love birds would marry within a year of meeting. The Alford Plea lies somewhere between a criminal defendant claim of innocent and guilty. A strange area of our justice system that can leave those questioning the validity and need for such a plea. The case of Taylor Behl is one such case where the the defendant took an Alford Plea. In this case we have a missing 17 year old college freshman, surveillance cameras, the last person seeing her alive having a strange and violent background, and the question was justice truly served in this case? If there was a ranking of greatest fears I think stalking would be missed by many people. Although just the sheer mention of a person following your every move is enough to send a chill down your spine. And you would not be without reason as the numbers of stalking cases are into the millions across the country with the most common stalker type being a former intimate partner. Which is unsettling to have someone that you shared a relationship with and maybe even a child could be the cause of your greatest distress. This brings us into our case today. Alyssa Burkett by all accounts lived a normal life. She was the mother to a 1 year old daughter, she went to work, hung out with friends and family, and went about her every day needs. Mitchell Weiser and Bonnie Bickwit set out one July morning in 1973, hoping to catch their favorite performers at rock history's biggest concert, Summer Jam at Watkins Glen.
