Have you ever had a moment when it seems as though God isn't with you? Logically, we know that God will never leave us but when things come against us in life, it sure feels like he is distant, lost, or willingly turning His eyes from us. This week's podcast will be a conversation about praising God when it feels like He has forgotten about you. The focus will be Psalm 13:5-6  But I trust in your unfailing love. This week's focus verse is from Isaiah 55 verses 1 through 3: Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink--even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk--it's all free! Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen to me, and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the finest food. Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. The call of a Christian is to give up our own way. What a difficult thing to do because it can seem so counter-intuitive. This week we will meditate on Hebrews 12:1-2, NLT Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.
