This past week the black manosphere influencer, Kevin Samuels had a sit-down interview with the "infamous" Brittany Renner. If you haven't seen it, I'll leave a link to the video in the description. Unsurprisingly, the reviews have been mixed. Some think the interview was well done and respectful, others think Kevin Samuels sold out by not going for the jugular. Some are even upset that the interview took place. I'd like to highlight several reasons why this was a brilliant move by Kevin Samuels from a marketing perspective and I have a special request for the black manosphere at the end so stay tuned.
Should Black Christian men consume content by the Black Manosphere? The question is going to become more contentious in the coming months. Why? Because as the manosphere engages black culture, it will inevitably make its way into the church, and pastors and church leaders will be asked to give an opinion. I believe that there will be three camps forming around this question. Camp 1 will say stay away at all cost. Camp 2 will secretly watch while agreeing with Camp 1 and Camp 3, which is the one I'm a part of, which will study the success, extract the truth from the movement, and use it to promote Christ's gospel to a larger audience. I believe that we can consume the content if our powers of discernment are sharpened if we recognize that all image-bearers of God have consciences that teach them right from wrong and if we admit that they are addressing an underserved community, namely the black men. To that end, I'm starting a series where I will review black manosphere content creators and hopefully help Black Christian men successfully navigate the black manosphere. First up, it's Oshay Duke Jackson.
We are "short, fat, and proud of that" succinctly describes the Black community's relationship to gluttony. The quaint lyric sung by Winnie the Pooh in the Disney classic, The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh is comical when applied to the make-believe bear. Sadly, however, it is tragic when describing the gluttony destroying the black community. According to Blackdemographics.com, Black people are the most obese ethnic group in America. We suffer from the dreaded "co-morbidities" more than any other ethnic group. However, In an odd twist, according to Pew Research Center black people are the most religious ethnicity in America, We attend church more frequently, regard religion as important in our daily lives, and have historically regarded faith in God as a primary cause for our behavior. Why is this odd? It is odd because if you know anything about the Bible, you know that it does not speak glowingly about gluttony. So why are the most religious people, who esteem God & the Bible highly, also marked by a lack of self-control in our eating habits? I believe that the reason is three-fold. First, we have embraced shameful behavior by changing language. Second, our men have been systematically removed from the home by a combination of the government and black women, leaving multiple generations unprotected and without direction. Finally, because it lacks works, our faith has become largely dead.
China is onto something. No, not communism. China's system of government has survived mainly because they've taken advantage of the greed and affluence of America, but I digress. Recently, China has deployed a full-court press on manliness, and in so doing, they have become the antithesis of America. After the well-documented failure of their "one-child policy" enacted in the 1980s, China is now promoting manliness, in an effort to rebuild its society. Recently, they've taken three steps to accomplish this. First, they've begun an education drive to make men more 'manly'. Second, they've cracked down on pornography. Finally, they've banned effeminacy from their media. The Black community, which can ill-afford to lose another generation of men, would be wise to take notice of China's recent actions and begin to openly and forcefully push back against the continued emasculation of our men through government education, overly-sexualized media, and the promotion of effeminacy among men.

The modern proverb "happy wife, happy life" is one that we've probably all heard. It is generally used to implore husbands to seek, above all else, the happiness of their wives. The adage has ruined many marriages before they even begin. In our feminist culture, it has been weaponized against husbands to keep them docile and subservient. A husband's vision for the family is no longer the primary driving force behind decision making, but rather the ever-changing "happiness" of the wife.
I argue that for Christians the proverb should be rejected outright because it emasculates husbands by stripping them of their authority and headship, it elevates the wife as an idol by making her happiness the telos of the marriage and it eviscerates the marriage's identity as a picture of Christ's redemption of His bride. It should instead be replaced with the sure standard of the inspired, inerrant, authoritative, sufficient word of Almighty God found in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament.
The modern woman is never satisfied. Feminism has taught them ungodly values. And the advent of social media has reinforced those values and given them a platform to espouse those values with little to no consequence. The modern woman believes she is entitled to a man's attention, assets, and absolute acceptance. In this episode, I highlight two very different cases that ultimately explain this reality better than I could have articulated it.
Floyd Mayweather is standing with Kyrie. Is an avalanche of manliness soon to follow? Are people ready to resist? Are they ready to defy tyrants?
Black culture needs men to step up. Dads on Duty, a group started in Shreveport, Louisiana to curb violence at Southwood High School, provides a clear picture of the power of the patriarchy. The Black community needs more men to do exactly what these men have done, be men. Was the Bible written by men(only) and for men(only)? Feminists would have you believe that, but unfortunately, the Bible doesn't agree. A question came in from the comments on good resources for learning Logic & Rhetoric. Here are some of the resources that I have taught from, learned from, and would like to evaluate and learn from in the future. I pray that they are helpful! It is critical for Christians to be able to think clearly and argue persuasively and especially Christian men. #Christianity #Rhetoric #Logic #Manhood #RedPill #Manosphere
The Black Church has lost its relevance, that much is true. Attendance is down and open rebellion among the Black Community is rampant. Many Black men are finding hope in unexpected heroes like Kyrie Irving, Dave Chappelle, & Kevin Samuels. But why? What do these men have to offer that most Black Pastors in Black churches do not? "Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong." - 1 Corinthians 16:13 CashApp: $developingdad Venmo: developingdad Website: http://developingdad.meLocals: https://developingdad.locals.com/Rumble: developingdad Instagram: developingdad Facebook: developingdadmg Twitter: developing_dad ⌚︎ Timestamps 00:00 - Introduction 00:14 - Like, Comment, Subscribe 00:27 - Without Further Ado 01:51 - 1 Corinthians 16:13 02:30 - 1. Kevin Samuels boldly goes where most Christian pastors refuse to go by calling out "Christian" Feminism. God is still calling men to be men, especially in the church. "Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong." 1 Corinthians 16:13. So why is it that so many Christian men are afraid to be men and so many Christian women have so much masculine energy? And why does it seem that most Christian pastors are afraid to call it out? The #WokeChurch has a canon of secular and "Christian" books that they use to indoctrinate unsuspecting Christians into their cultish way of thinking. Books like White Fragility, How to be an Anti-Racist, and Divided By Faith, among others. Many are being duped because they are trusting the character of those who suggest these books, not realizing the books themselves spring forth from a godless worldview rooted in the sins of theft, covetousness, and partiality. However, we as Christians are called not to accept ideas without further examination. Proverbs 18:17 states that "The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him." In Acts 17 the Bereans are counted as noble for verifying the gospel delivered to them by the Apostle Paul. So I am beginning a two-part series where I will offer suggestions for books that I believe examine and refute the books offered by the #WokeChurch canon.
