Hiiiii everyone! Welcome back to another guest episode! Today, we are so excited to bring you our FIRST ever fluency related episode and we thought no one better to chat to than paediatric speech pathologist and stuttering specialist - Lauren Brown.
Lauren has been a paediatric speech pathologist for over 15 years, and has been working exclusively in the area of fluency in the last 4 years. Lauren has recently created her professional development course for therapists and parents called "Fluency Foundations". This course is perfect for all SLPs & parents wanting additional knowledge on how to treat stuttering confidently & accurately using an integrative approach.
We loved this chat with Lauren & hope you all gain a little more information about stuttering therapy in paediatric clients.
You can find more about Lauren's course here: Fluency Foundations or on Insta @stutterfreekids

Hello Everyone! This episode is for you students and newly graduated speechies! More often than not you'll work with clients who are participants of the NDIS, therefore in this episode we touch on briefly what the NDIS is and some important aspects to consider when referring, writing reports and the overall basics of what an NDIS plan looks like.
We understand there are a lot of pieces of information that we haven't touched on in this episode (otherwise it would have gone on forever!) however our biggest tip - when in doubt speak to your supervisor, director or someone from the NDIS to help point you in the right direction.
Let us know if there is anything else you'd like to hear on this topic and we will answer further questions regarding the NDIS in future episodes.
