Description

A while back, I started doing walks at the trail to help deal with depression and stressful issues that were causing problems for me. When my friends started doing the same, I noticed we would have some good conversations about videogames, food, movies, stress and the obstacles along the way to experiencing the success while our loved ones are still here to share it with us.

While every podcast won't take place while I'm out walking, I do hope to provide something of interest for you all to follow/subscribe to (and hopefully take part in soon)!

Do you ever pretend you don't see what the real deal is when dealing with corporations, management or people in general? Louisiana businesses are famous for trying to get over on the bottom of the bricks, so there are a few things I wanted to discuss while I had them on my mind.

October 2023 Update

I'm taking some time to update you wonderful listeners on the things I've been up to and to let y'all know about Fire and Slice, a new pizza start up on the horizon. -Fire and Slice- -Instagram- @Fireandslicepizzanola -Facebook- Fire & Slice Pizza
My apologies for not putting out any new episodes, but I've got something for y'all to chime in on today. Why can't we just talk to each other? Why can't we listen and acknowledge when we've hurt someone? Why can't we just do the things we need to do on order to help each other? I don't have the answers, but I really wanted to share what was going on with me in order to hopefully help others. As always, thanks for listening in. -Den
Do the big girls and guys have a better tattoo game than people on the slimmer scale? Are folks with a darker shade of skin limited when it comes to having nice tattoos? Do tattoos make you feel a certain way? Join me and the fam as we discuss this random (by NOLA means) topic.

Hey, everyone! I'm just providing an update on my ongoing journey through this voyage called Shadow Work! I hope y'all enjoy the episode. As always, thanks for giving my podcast a listen! -Den
First of all, I want to wish all of you a Happy New Year. I hope that you all are in good spirits! I decided to start my 2023 off with a good dosage of shadow work, so I'm just talking about that in this episode of the podcast and I'm hoping that you all are protecting your mental happiness. As always, thank you all for taking the time to tune in and offer encouragement! -Den
What happens when two YouTube content creators that were once on good terms have a nasty falling out? Where do you fit in as a subscriber? I recently recommended The Sweet Pea Diaries to you all due to the good documentaries and videos that she provides, but also due to her opinions on the Shanquella  Robinson case. A friend reached out, wanting to know more information about the sector Sweet Pea was in due to a video dealing with her situation with All About the Trees, another content creator on YouTube. This video talks a little about my feelings on that situation and where subscribers fit into content creator disagreements.
You ever think you're cool with a group of people, only to find out said group of people aint worth a shit? Unfortunately, this situation played out for Shanquella Robinson while she was on vacation in Cabo San Lucas with a group of friends. Said friends would later attempt to cover up the reason Shanquella didn't make it back home to her family. Just thinking about the things I've seen and heard concerning Shanquella's death gets me heated! If you all have a chance, check out the YouTubers listed below to see what is going on with trying to bring Shanquella's killers to justice! GossipGirlXOXO - GG has really been showing some love to making sure Shanquella's case stays popping in the YouTube streets. While her page is mainly celebrity gossip focused, the interesting conversations with folks calling in to share their opinions has really been pushing things in good (and bad) ways. Goddess Speaks - While mainly known for Beef Sector action, Goddess has moved on to other areas of interest. Her thoughts on Shanquilla's case (and the state of what is going on in media) are really interesting. The Sweet Pea Diaries - Sweet Pea didn't jump on the make a video train when a lot of others did, opting to wait until she heard my concrete information to make a video about the case. Check out her videos to get some thoughts on how all the misinformation could derail the case.
Hey everyone! This episode discusses the term "woke" and how certain pockets of society that claim to be "Anti-woke" seem to have a problem with just about everything. This question arose due to opinions on how Disney has handled the films Wakanda Forever and Strange World. Oddly enough, the conversation about the term "woke" transitioned into a more concerning issue that is brewing on social media. What is up with the hostility between some Black Men and Black Women online? I'll fill you in during the show. Thanks for checking out the show! -Den
Hi, Y'all! I hope everyone had a good weekend and is also having a good Monday! While I know the beginning of the week can be aggy as can be, especially when dealing with those scallywags  at work, just do your best to not let those folks get under your skin! Happy Halloween for those that celebrate it, but for others that don't, this episode may still interest you if you're into horror movies or are looking for a comic book movie to watch tonight instead of doing the Trick or Treat thing. In this one, I speak a little about Black Adam, Halloween Ends, Pray For The Devil, Terrifier 2, Don't Look At The Demon, and Smile. I actually forgot about Smile, so it is all the way at the end.  I also shine a little light on 3 YouTube ladies for the cool content they've put out as of late! Y'all have a good one! -Den
Hi everyone! After having a small conversation with one of Tulane Avenue's sex workers, I wanted to share how that conversation really messed with my head about a few things. I also want to introduce y'all to Saki's Speakeasy, one of the cooler places to check out on YouTube. Please stick around until after after the Anchor advertisement for a list of recommended YouTubers and local food spots and businesses to check out this week! Their names are listed below, so feel free to check them out. Also, if you want to donate to my podcast, my Cash App is listed below! Thanks! Hi everyone! Another weekend has come and gone, but this past weekend had a lot of positive vibes, energy and entertainment throughout. A low key horror movie turned out to be great and The Art of Style's Fashion Show and Pop Up introduced us to new businesses and cool styles that you will not see around New Orleans. Give this episode a listen to learn more about "Don't Look at the Demon" and the fantastic vendors that were at the fashion show! The contact information for the businesses are listed below, so feel free to check them out. As always, thanks for tuning in. -Den *Stickyfingerz (Instagram) @Stickyfingerzstickerz (Webpage) Thestickyfinger.com *Rah's Sweet Treats (Instagram) @rahs_sweet_treats1 *Grayteful Hands (Instagram) @graytefulhands (Webpage) graytefulhands.com
Hi, folks! I went to check out BROS. on Saturday, so I wanted to share my thoughts on it. I heard a few people discussing the low box office numbers it took in over opening weekend, with one of the producers placing partial blame on "not enough straight people showing up". Well, give tonight's show a listen so you can hear what I think about the film.
Hey, y’all!

Just checking in with you lovely folks!
Hello, everyone. Recently, I've been using shadow work to deal with this really strange stretch of depression I've been in. I've come to realize that Shadow Work doesn't always translate to just understanding yourself, it also helps you tune in to things that may be used to help loved ones through their ups and downs. Keep your mental health and energies on high during these less than optimal times. A good friend of mine stopped by to share his experience of growing up with an abusive father. While this was a hard conversation to take part in, I hope this episode will help shine a light on the struggles that many abuse survivors can face. We need to normalize understanding and caring for our family and friends.
The first take of this podcast had a lot of cursing, but after taking sometime to rethink things, I found a better way of getting what I wanted to say out there. Self reflection does not mean we become these perfect people, where nothing bothers us. Self reflection can also put you on a path to notice things in greater detail, to see what things hold a greater importance to you. Spend time doing the things you enjoy, but lend an ear to your loved ones that need it. While inflation is playing a part in how some of us maneuver, do not forget your self worth. In the end, you're only as good as you feel. We all know this New Orleans heat got folks taking their wigs off, fighting in these beat up assed streets, but did you know that there is an easy to work with delivery service that can help you through these difficult, high gas price times? I was about to start Yabba Dabba Do-ing around this bih until Dominique from Makin' Groceries 4 You stopped by to let us know why we should use her delivery service instead of the competition.  Makin Groceries 4 You is the exclusive delivery service for Chicken's Kitchen and the only person down here doing anything for Trader Joes, so you know she good good. Ms. D is also offering folks that mention that you heard of her business on The Walk and Talk Podcast a ten dollar discount on their first order from Trader Joes! Baby, y'all know you can get a daiquiri with that lil 10 off!  Dominique and Makin' Groceries 4 You's contact information is listed below, so check out her social media pages and give her a follow.
