Alright gang, in our season finale we’re asking “can a man live on completion prizes alone?” The year is 1998. The place is Japan. An aspiring comedian by the name of Nasubi auditions to be on Denpa Shonen’s new TV show with the hopes of breaking into showbiz. Selected as the sole contestant, Nasubi is then taken to a small apartment, stripped naked and told that everything he needs to survive from this point on, must be won via magazine and radio contests. Oh, and if that wasn’t traumatic enough, millions of people at home will be watching on a weekly basis. Nasubi’s Prize Life is a story that is so ridiculous it shouldn’t be true. But it is. It’s a story that is cruel, compelling, grotesque, puzzling, and psychologically fascinating. A pretty fitting way to finish our fourth season then. If you're interested you can find Prize Life episodes below Nasubi Prize Life Compilation - Part 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4lYc34HNSg Nasubi Prize Life Compilation - Part 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsjX4Xoz6o0 If you've enjoyed this episode and you want to help support the show, the best way to do so is to simply subscribe via whatever podcast platform you prefer. Alright gang, this week we’re concluding our two part conversation with Tim Doyle. Not only are we getting a resolution to Tim’s encounter with the Angel of Death but Tim also digs into a variety of topics including the God frequency. Shifting from a 3rd dimensional consciousness to a 5th level consciousness. Egyptian gods, arcturians and a prayer which allegedly removes fears and other emotional parasites from your being. If any of this has tickled your brain and has left you wanting to dive deeper into this strange, yet undoubtedly curious rabbit hole, then you can learn more about Tim and the golden ones here. https://thepathtooneness.com/ If you've enjoyed this episode and you want to help support the show, the best way to do so is to simply subscribe via whatever podcast platform you prefer. Alright gang, this week in the first of a two part conversation, we’re talking to ordained metaphysical minister, reiki master, and conduit for the Golden Ones, Tim Doyle. In a very unique conversation that took place at my mums dining room table, I spoke to Tim about a number of things. His mission to spread the teachings of his celestial guides ‘The Golden Ones’. His ayahuasca experiences in Peru. His encounter with the angel of death. How, why, and when, we allegedly choose to come to earth. Karma. Reincarnation. Free will vs Determinism and so much more. It really is quite the conversation, and this is only the first part. Be sure to check out the concluding part next week. You can learn more about Tim and his teachings over at https://thepathtooneness.com/ If you've enjoyed this episode and you want to help support the show, the best way to do so is to simply subscribe via whatever podcast platform you prefer. Alright gang, this week we’re talking Social Anxiety. In a fun and insightful chat with Introvert Strategist, Roxana, mastermind behind Honest Rox, we’re looking at introverted behaviour. Being comfortable with who you are and building upon that. Societal expectations. Exposure therapy. Vulnerability. Value. Growth and so much more. You can find more of the brilliant work Roxana is doing here https://www.honestrox.com/ And you can follow her here https://www.instagram.com/honestrox/ If you've enjoyed this episode and you want to help support the show, the best way to do so is to simply subscribe via whatever podcast platform you prefer. Alright gang, this week we’re taking a look at Neurodiversity. From common elements and executive decisions to spikey profiles and beyond, we’re digging into Neurodiversity in my chat with Neurodiverse Work Coach, Jessica Michaels. We also get into life before and after her own Autism diagnosis, how she helps to create a better work environment as well as addressing some commonplace stereotypes and assumptions. You can find more of Jessica’s work at https://coachjessicamichaels.com/ And you can follow her on https://www.instagram.com/neurodiverseworkcoach/ If you've enjoyed this episode and you want to help support the show, the best way to do so is to simply subscribe via whatever podcast platform you prefer. Alright gang, this week we’re finally getting round to tackling Timothy Leary. A Psychologist. An advocate for Psychedelics and free thinking. A provocateur and a counterculture icon. Cited as both “the most dangerous man in America” and a “hero of American consciousness” Leary has been, for decades, an interesting figure to say the least. But rather than dive into a biographical exploration of Leary, in this episode we’re going to be looking at two of the most infamous experiments attached to his name. The Concord Prison Experiment and The Good Friday Experiment. Two pivotal moments in psychedelic research that ask two distinct questions. Can drugs actually help with criminal rehabilitation and can they bring you closer to god? Alright gang, on this weeks podcast episode I’m joined by the truly inspirational Dr Kevin Payne. From being terrified of his own body to revelling in the perspective found in the church of altitude, Kevin’s story is really quite remarkable. After years of suffering from multiple sclerosis. Enduring personal loss. Trauma and emotional depletion, he gave himself one last chance. After using his academic background to rebuild himself and taking to the skies in order to live his life well, he’s now inspiring others to do the same. You can find Kevin’s book, podcast and all the other wonderful stuff he’s doing over at https://yourlifelivedwell.co/ If you've enjoyed this episode and you want to help support the show, the best way to do so is to simply subscribe via whatever podcast platform you prefer. Alright gang, this week we're diving into a Beatles album that was allegedly recovered from another world. It's a bizarre tale of dogs, inter dimensional travel, and purple ketchup. http://thebeatlesneverbrokeup.com/ If you've enjoyed this episode and you want to help support the show, the best way to do so is to simply subscribe via whatever podcast platform you prefer. Alright gang, this week we’re talking about a place that has left a permanent mark on my being, The Museum of Broken Relationships. Not just that, but I’m discussing the museum with it’s former director, the wonderful Alexis Hyde. During our conversation Alexis digs into how she got he job curating the museum. How the experience was a whole. The numerous everyday and extraordinary items that were displayed. The all too human stories that accompanied them and naturally we get into a variety of side topics such as empathy and the cathartic process of letting go. It was an absolute pleasure chatting with Alexis and if you’ve enjoyed this episode (and there is no bloody reason why you shouldn’t have!) you can find more of Alexis here. Alright gang, this week we’re taking a moment to celebrate a milestone. This week, Dimed Out celebrates it’s 2nd anniversary and to commemorate such a suprising landmark I’ve put together a good old fashioned compilation episode. Whether you’ve been with Dimed Out for a while or you’re new to this strange little adventure, this is a great episode to dive into as it stitches together a variety of archived clips that take you you through the origins, guests, topics, and developments over the last 2 years. To everyone who’s listened, participated, shared, told their grandparents about the podcast or just generally been supportive, a great big stinking thank you, from the bottom of my usually non-plussed northern heart. If you want to help support this show as we move forward into the future, the best way to do so is to simply subscribe via whatever podcast platform you prefer. Alright gang, this week I’m joined by Bizarrist and TikTok personality Mercer Blackwell. Mercer was kind enough to give me a crash course on the world of Bizarrism and a little glimpse into his live show. From swallowing coat hangers and creating personal souvenirs inside his body, Mercer has been heavily invested in curating memorable experiences for people through his unique performances. Potentially gippy inducing stage tricks aside, we also dive into the educational side of his TikTok output. From space toilets to hostile architecture and beyond. If you’ve enjoyed this episode (which you most definitely have) then be sure to check out more of Mercer’s output via the link below. https://my.bio/mercerblackwell If you want to help support the show, the best way to do so is to simply subscribe via whatever podcast platform you prefer. Alright gang, this week we’re letting it all out of our system. In the first (of hopefully more) experience episodes in Season 4, I smashed the bejesus out of some Christmas crockery. Rage Rooms or Smash Rooms as they’re also known, seem to have grown in popularity since and during the pandemic. Admittedly they do seem to be quite the cathartic release. To see if this is the case or if they’re simply just a gimmicky day out, I visited a local Rage Room and let rip upon a crate of glass bottles and other smash-able items. Alright gang, this week we're concluding our chat with Gabriel Jacob Luansing aka Mister Master. In part two we’re diving a little deeper into the music side of things, exploring comedy in music and Mister Master’s lyrical spectrum. We also dig into the influences, inspirations, and creative process behind his avant-garde style of Hip Hop. If you’ve enjoyed this episode (which obviously you have) then be sure to take a deep dive into the world of Mister Master and his Ultra project. Alright gang, this week I’m joined by my second guest for Season 4, Gabriel Jacob Luansing aka Mr Master. Gabriel is an avant-garde MC influenced by Nerdcore who is determined to put his own spin on the Hip Hop genre. In the first of a two part conversation we talk about a whole bunch o’ stuff including his Ultra project, annotating Genius pages, human beings need to establish patterns, academia in Hip Hop, and long form conversations. Whilst waiting for the concluding part of our conversation next week, be sure to check out Mr Master via the links below. Alright gang, in an effort to create a silly, nonsensical palette cleanser of sorts, I decided to take a look at what is considered to be the weirdest websites of 2022. Within this random mix I found (to name but a few things) an AI that guesses what your doodles are. The hypothetical meat market of Amazon dating. A yodelling pickle. And a comprehensive guide that helps you talk to your cat about gun safety, satanism and so much more. Alright Gang, it's the Season 4 premiere and to kick things off I'm joined by psychologist, author, and all round font of knowledge on many topics, Dr Darrel Ray. From the confines of an impromptu makeshift studio in my closet, I was fortunate enough to chat with Darrel about religious trauma, purity culture, and his work with Recovering from Religion. An international non-profit built to help those who have left, are in the process of, or are considering, leaving religion. I cannot stress just how valuable the insight, expertise, and resources are over at Recovering from Religion, so if you or somebody you know is in need of help, please don't hesitate to reach out. https://www.recoveringfromreligion.org/ If you've enjoyed this episode and you want to help support the show, the best way to do so is to simply subscribe via whatever podcast platform you prefer. Alright gang, this week we're diving into the world of Human Design.   Allegedly, your soul came here with a plan to live a spectacular life and Human Design is the roadmap on how to live yours.    Human Design has quickly become a popular pseudoscience. A system built on astrology, I Ching, Kabbalah and the Chakras.   Prior to this episode I knew nothing about it, so I decided to dive right in. Obtaining my body graph, I navigate this complex system and try attempt to understand a number of things.    The difference between my design and my personality. Channels and gates.
