The 20/20 episode is what brought me to the podcast. You do a better job diving into the case, but you also weren't confined to 60-90 minutes to tell the story. I think ABC did a great job for people who just want the surface level, but the podcast provides a deeeep dive into the minutiae.

also, we (pharmacies) don't keep ALL drugs on hand. this doesn't seem like one that we would keep because if the formula (liquid). that means we would have to know ahead of time to order it. that could mean that the rx was entered into the computer that morning because that's when the medicine delivery arrived, while the actual rx could have been dropped off days before.

I was a pharmacy technician for 10 years. I'm 2004, it was hot or miss whether there was a computerized system in place. but yes, you can drop off rx for other people. the question is whether Walgreens still has the hard copies (they're required to keep printouts of everything for X number of years.) that would also tell whether Wm had a history of filling this rx, and what time he picked it up.

I hate that I wasted good listening time on Melanie's case. I agree with Patty Prezioso and the jurors that it's a waste of time and a slap in the face. I believe she is 100% guilty and every single detail drives that point home. I get maybe these hosts wanted to jump on the podcast bandwagon, but there are far better questionable convictions that could have been chosen over this case.

I doubt you'll see this but with an ex who spent all my money if it's in a house the court can force sale and split of funds where as having $ in the bank they can EASILY get to it and take it. My ex stole 25k and since it was a joint account the police said there is no case.

I don't care for Amy's commentary that much. as time has gone by I get the OBVIOUS impression that she feels Melanie is guilty as sin ,and that comes thru in the comments she makes. It skews the flavor of the podcast. Especially when I feel like Meghan tries very hard to keep from confirmation bias. And no, I'm not convinced that Melanie did the crime, I simply do not believe she has the strength to do what has been done. Anyone who has ever tried to move a large sleeping human would realize how incredibly hard it would be to manipulate a body in the way Bill's was. certainly a tiny woman would be the least able to do this crime. I wonder if Bill went to his friends house in Chesapeake Bay? have they been questioned about their whereabouts? that's the first thought I had, and its remained unanswered.

No I dont get that impression at all. obviously, lots of these commentors have never tried lifting a human body. Even a live body is extremely hard to move, there's no way that a small woman could have ever moved a man's body like this, SO MUCH! I dont want to go through the steps, but what happened would have required a lot of strength to do. even the cops know that, that's why they keep looking for an accomplice. and as for that wild ride to A.C. when she moved the car, hasn't anyone ever been in an unhealthy relationship. its like crap I did with my exbusband in my 20's, psychologists call it the "I hate you, dont leave me" phenomenon. they were in deep in this unhealthy relationship, and its irrational the way people act when in that situation. I want more info from his "friends" in Virginia. They live where the suitcases were found!?!!!

It is so obvious to me she is full of it. She had no respect for her marriage, husband, children , herself or the family of the man she was was s©rewing. I understand she and her husband were habitual cheaters but he has paid the price and she is exactly where she should be. I watched the whole trial on court tv and other evidence was introduced that is not in this podcast. I just found this podcast and it is my new favorite.

is anyone else getting the feeling that the boyfriend doctor committed this crime? or possiblebly they was both in on it at various parts? you have the sedation meds, the hacking of the body, even if it was not clean cut( which I might have missed where they had cleared up how the dismemberment was done.) either way, it just looks very suspicious..
