Reverse
Renfield was a fun film and also serves as a good reference point for people to see how much better Wonka would have been had either Nicholas' were casted over Timmy Tim. No offense to Timmy Tim, but he misses the mark with the energy and is not unhinged enough. Our opinion of course, but Renfield was a nice dessert for our movie palates because its lighthearted and doesn't take itself too seriously. We even take a step further to discuss how a spin off would work with Werewolves and our own fan-casting of it and Renfield could make a cameo.

An A24 Film for the podcast, finally! Kevin has not seen Hereditary yet so we decided to have him watch it in preparation for this episode! We get into the parts that scared us and if it ranks highly on the genre of 'horror' films or if it even counts as a horror film. Agree to disagree, but the one thing we all agree on is that Toni Colette deserves an award and praise for her performance alone.

Diving right into ep6 for this episode!
The Bear's episode 6 felt like a Christmas Special episode that tv shows used to do back in the day, except...for The Bear, they released all the episodes out on Hulu at once. Anyways, episode 6 felt like it deserved its own full episode since it was so jampacked with many cameos and the wonderful performances from each cameo that contributed to one hell of a night in the episode. The Finale to the Franchise...??
So many John Wick movies and it was fresh and new which made it special when the first movie came out but now, it just seems like they're milking the franchise for all its worth and because it is becoming procedural, the quality in the filmmaking takes a dive. We go into why John Wick 4 was a poor way to end the franchise or....is there another one?

Inception meets Memento sounds quite interesting doesn't it? That''s what we thought through the first 2 acts of this movie. It had some interesting elements and had a fun way to implement super powers into an almost grounded movie that steered shy of being a great cohesive movie and story. But it failed. We dive into whether Ben Affleck can act with superpowers because he's actually an underappreciated actor...however...maybe not in this one.
