In today's episode Jenna Slutzky of The Canine Enrichment Co. joins me to talk about the truth and reality of living with adolescent dogs. We talk about the challenge of having a full size dog that doesn't have a fully developed brain. The balance of keeping our young dogs well enriched without doing too much. The interesting research done specifically on adolescent dogs and the parallels to human teenage behavior. We also share real life strategies for surviving our least favorite age range in dogs. In today's episode I share my current thoughts and feeling surrounding breeding. I share the respect and admiration I have for the ethical dog breeders of the world but also my distain for the breeders of the world who are not doing it in an ethical manner. I also talk about the publics role in pushing the standard for breeding forward. I discuss my conflict in deciding if I wanted to get into breeding. I also highlight the large population of dogs that already exist and need a good home.  128. Responsible Puppy Purchasing   Support Disorderly Dogs Follow us on Instagram: @agoodfeeling_inco  Work with us: www.agoodfeelingdogtraining.com  Leaving a 5-star ️️️️️review really helps this podcast reach other dog guardians in search of help for their dogs and I literally read every single one!  Song credit: Podington Bear

In today's episode Karishma Warr of Transform Behavior joins me to discuss what life is really like beyond what they call "capital Dog Training". Karishma shares their journey from living and training in New York City, then living and training in London to now living in the country side of England. We discuss why the "adopt don't shop" movement tends to miss the real problems. Why the work we do really moves beyond what is traditionally thought of as dog training and how when we can open ourselves up to learning and growing our lives with our dogs is so much richer.  Follow Karishma on IG https://www.transformbehavior.com Support Disorderly Dogs Follow us on Instagram: @agoodfeeling_inco  Work with us: www.agoodfeelingdogtraining.com  Leaving a 5-star ️️️️️review really helps this podcast reach other dog guardians in search of help for their dogs and I literally read every single one!  Song credit: Podington Bear
