မေလ ၁၂ ရက်နေ့က စစ်ကိုင်းတိုင်း၊အိုးတိန်တွင်းရွာက စာသင်ကျောင်းတစ်ကျောင်းကို စစ်ကောင်စီက လေကြောင်းမှ ပစ်ခတ်မှုကြောင့် ကျောင်းသား ၂၀ ကျော် သေဆုံးခဲ့ပြီး အများအပြားလည်းပြင်းထန်တဲ့ ဒဏ်ရာတွေရရှိခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ဒီဖြစ်ရပ်ရဲ့ နောက်ကွယ်မှာ အသက်ရှင်ကျန်ရစ်တဲ့ သူတွေကလည်း စိတ်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာ နဲ့ရုပ်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာ ထိခိုက်မှုတွေကို ပြင်းထန်စွာခံစားနေရဆဲပါ။ ဒီဆောင်းပါးကို Esther J က ရေးသားထားပါတယ်။

Since the March 28 earthquake in Myanmar, the junta has denied permission for damaged mosques in hard-hit areas to be repaired or rebuilt, and authorities have even indicated that some of the mosques will be permanently closed. This week's story is by Htet Aung.

Officials on the take have long been a scourge of the people of Myanmar. There’s anecdotal evidence that since the coup, demands by police, soldiers and civil servants for bribes, tea money and kickbacks have become even more blatant. What follows provides a mere glimpse of a pervasive national problem, as Doh Athan explores the impact on corruption and graft on a few residents of Ayeyarwady Region, the vast rice-growing delta west of Yangon.

LGBT people face widespread discrimination in sexually conservative Myanmar but are playing important roles at many levels in the struggle to oust the regime. They include People’s Defence Force commander, fashion designer in exile, woman trade union activist who was sexually abused in custody, and a community organiser, who speak of their experiences.

The arid plains of the Anyar region in central Myanmar are the country’s Bamar heartland where fierce opposition to the 2021 coup has left vast areas under the control of resistance groups. The villagers’ response to savage military raids finds expression in their daily lives in many ways, from singing as they plant crops to performances by song and dance groups that raise funds for the revolutionary cause.

A fear of food shortages has gripped at least one of the camps in Sagaing Region’s Tamu Township that mainly houses Kuki, a group that lives on both sides of the northwestern border with India. Some Kuki complain about feeling forgotten and advocates say their plight deserves greater recognition.

ဆောင်းပါးတိုင်းရဲ့နောက်ကွယ်မှာတော့ အင်တာဗျူးမေးနေရင်း ကြုံလိုက်ရတဲ့အတွေ့အကြုံတွေ၊ မမေ့နိုင်တဲ့ဖြစ်ရပ်တွေ၊ မြိုသိပ်ထားရတဲ့ခံစားမှုတွေ အများအပြားရှိပါတယ်။ ပြီးခဲ့တဲ့အပတ်က ဒို့အသံက “ငလျင်ကြားကပြည်သူ့သူရဲကောင်းများ” ခေါင်းစဉ်နဲ့ Podcast တစ်ခု ထုတ်လွှင့်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။ အဲဒီဆောင်းပါးနောက်ကွယ်က အတွေ့အကြုံတွေကို မြေပြင်မှာ အင်တာဗျူးတွေ လိုက်လံမေးမြန်းခဲ့တဲ့ ကံကောင်းနဲ့ စကားပြောထားပါတယ်။ “မိသားစု အကုန်လုံးဆုံးပါးသွားတဲ့ Volunteer(စေတနာ့ဝန်ထမ်း) တစ်ယောက်နဲ့ကျတော်စကားပြောချိန်မှာ မိသားစုတွေနဲ့ပတ်သက်ပြီးဘာတွေ အမှတ်တရရှိခဲ့လဲ ဆိုတဲ့အကြောင်းတွေပြောဖြစ်တော့.. ငလျင်မလှုပ်ခင်ညက သူနဲ့ သူ့မိသားစုတွေ အရင်ကထက်စကားတွေအများကြီးပြောဖြစ်ကြတယ်။အဲဒီညက သူတို့အနာဂတ်အတွက်လုပ်မယ့် အတွေးတွေကိုယ်စီရှိကြတယ်။” အပြည့်စုံကိုနားဆင်နိုင်ပါပြီ။
