It's the Season 2 Finale! Thank you, sincerely, for all of the love this season. It means so much. I thought it would be nice to wrap it up with a chat with my Mom, Clare. We had the loveliest trip to Spain recently and I managed to twist her arm into coming back on the podcast (she was a nervous wreck last year!). I hope you enjoy. Catch you when The Laughs Of Your Life returns this September! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Doireann and Friends listeners! You have connected hugely with Allison Keating and so this week, she answers two listener questions. Aisling Bonner is back with our final Doireann and Foes of the season. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
As I type this, Bonjour! A European adventure has commenced for Mark and I but it’s biz as usual for Doireann and Friends. It was a joy to catch up with the legend that is Dermot Whelan for this week’s episode. He is just a hilarious, humble, happy human! I think there is so much to gain from listening to him, and know you’ll love it. The icon that is Pamela Joyce brings us her final Pam Readings of the season. Enjoy x Hosted on Acast. We’re 3/4s of the way there! HOW?! This season is flying which can only be a good sign. On this week’s episode I chat about the 3 things that drove me mad this week. I know, a Monday rant is a negative start but I needed this vent! The fabulous Samantha Barry joins me to update me on all things Glamour (yes, a capital G) in NYC including her apartment purchase and her Met Gala insider info. Aisling Bonner is back and calls for an Emergency General Meeting, as only she could. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The time has come to bite the bullet and book an adventure. I chat a bit about it today before chatting to Brian Dowling - 10 days after he and Arthur welcomed beautiful baby Blu. The one and only Pamela Joyce is back for Pam Readings too. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
My love for a Spanish pharmacy knows no bounds. It’s a niche topic, I know, but I’ve fallen hard for them since last week. Also if you’re heading away this Summer, I have some tips for you at the start of this week’s ep! Clémentine MacNeice talks all things styling; her love for it, how she got into it and what we should all do to look our very best. Allison Keating is back to answer a listener question around the topic of jealousy amongst friends. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
I’m writing this episode description from Spain…as smug as can be. Last time I was here if rained for 11 days (have I mentioned that) so being here in sunshine, with my Mom, is heavenly. This week I’m joined by the fabulous Vicki Notaro - best selling debut novelist of 2024 if you don’t mind! We talk reality tv, taking life leaps and lots more. Aisling Bonner is back with Doireann and Foes. It’s a gorge ep if I say so myself! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
I say this at the start of the ep and I’ll say it again! Thank you so much for all of the love this season. The pod is growing and growing in listeners which means you’re liking, sharing, even loving this season! So thank you so much. This week I chat being back to the gym and being on the bridesmaid dresses hunt. I’m joined by the BEAUTIFUL (inside and out) Katja Mia and the one and only Pamela Joyce is back. This time, she’s giving us ‘Pam Readings’ where she tells us what’s in and what’s out for Summer 2024. Let me know what you think! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Episode 4. Welcome back! I’ve been loving following Grainne Gallanagh on instagram. She has been living in Oz for just over a year working a FIFO (Fly In Fly Out) job and I needed to hear all. I strongly advice you watch her reels on Insta before listening to the episode…she rocks the uniform but the flies?! HELL. Allison Keating is back and our listener question today is about overcoming the fear of uncertainty in life. As always, Allison offers up so much help. Would love to know your thoughts on the episode - email us, doireannandfriends@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
June glorious June. Time for a brand new start and I’m so excited. Another Doireann and Friends OG is back and this time, it’s my fabulous sister Ailbhe! We talk wedding planning and Ailbhe’s dos and don’ts (if my sister can’t tell it to me straight, who can?!). Hairstylist to the stars (Mariah, Adele, Kim…as you do) Andrew Fitzsimons talks to me about his life in LA and styling the hair of some of the most famous people in the world. Hosted on Acast. Welcome back! THANK YOU for the love last week. It’s so good to be back in the swing of podcasting. Time for Episode 2, woo! Charleen Murphy is my friend this week. What a gorgeous gal, in every sense of the word. We chatted about influencing, TikTok hate, victim blaming and so much more. Our resident girlo Aisling Bonner joins me and proposes the concept of Doireann and Foes. I think you’ll enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
I am so excited for this new season of Doireann and Friends! Old friends, new friends, new set…it’s all happening. Pam is back and because we haven't had a proper catch up in ages, there was quite a lot to get through. I wanted to hear about her first couple holiday and she wanted to hear about how Mark managed to surprise me with his proposal (I don’t actually know if she wanted to hear but I told her anyway)... And there was still time for a catch up with Laughs of Your Life alumni, and the true icon that is Trinny Woodall! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Donncha’s back (by, genuinely, popular demand). With the men’s Rugby World Cup on the horizon, he gave us some useful conversation starters tailor-made for those jumping on the rugby bandwagon. We’ve all done it!And Eugene Garrihy joins us to chat about his recent BBQ emergency, the unique magic of the Irish pub and his much sought after views of the world. I’m convinced he’s waited this long so he could say, ‘Well, you left the best to last, Doireann’. 😂 We certainly did, Euge!Doireann and Friends is brought to you by F&F Fashion at Tesco. Siobhan Byrne from BodyByrne Gym dropped by to talk about ways people can create healthy habits around the food they eat and exercise. And Allison Keating is in to discuss how to deal with ghosters, haunters and breadcrumbers. *Finally*, Donncha O’Callaghan makes his Doireann and Friends debut! He reckons he was behind Bertie in the pecking order to appear on the show (I won’t lie it was a toss up).And Clare is back for some mother/daughter reminiscing some of which is cringeworthy!Doireann and Friends is brought to you by F&F Fashion at Tesco. Pamela Joyce was in and we chatted about how the sex ed she got in Galway, and I got in Dublin, was actually pretty similar - confusing, vague and awkward. 😳And Allison Keating is in to advise a listener whose friend group has begun to splinter with the arrival of other halves and kids.Doireann and Friends is brought to you by F&F Fashion at Tesco. Paula Callan is back by popular demand, and we got down to talking about some make-up tips: five essential products that she couldn’t do without, and also some brilliant advice on applying foundation like a pro. And our resident psychologist, Allison Keating drops in to give advice to a listener who wants to explore kink with her partner.Doireann and Friends is brought to you by F&F Fashion at Tesco. Pam dropped in wearing her brand new SKIMS, and she gave a no-holds-barred review of the pros and cons of ‘her new babygrow’. Don't be surprised if you happen to bump into Pam on the golf course practicing for the Pro-Am in August. She filled us in on her priceless 'ten years of service' golf club plan. 😂And the hostess with the mostest, AKA Clare Garrihy swung by to advise on how careful preparation, the right serving dishes, and dunking absolutely everything into port maketh a great dinner party.Doireann and Friends is brought to you by F&F Fashion at Tesco. Marks tells us about how he tried to overcome his nervousness about flying with the help of a course called Flying With Confidence. He says that one three people have a fear of flying. Did he receive a sympathetic ear? Not so much after he happened to bring his ex into the conversation. And make-up artist extraordinaire, Paula Callan called in to the studio for a chat. Paula has been there on so many big moments in my career, and it was so nice to catch up. She had us in stitches telling us about the (booze-related) pitfalls that await even the most organised brides on their big day! Doireann and Friends is brought to you by F&F Fashion at Tesco. as a hcw, there is definitely trauma from covid across the board. yes it's nurses and doctors but as a medical sec, we are burnt to the ground. most don't even realise it. no counselling offered by work, just a huge increase in workload and a covid is over attitude. exhausted.
