The Bible promises us that if we will ask for things that align with God’s will then he will give us what we ask for. To know his will we must be in relationship, which means we dialogue with Him regularly.

Jesus used humor to drive home an amazing point - the Father wants to give us his Spirit. But what exactly does that mean and why do you need more of the Spirit and does he need more of you?

Through faith in Christ, the Bible tells us we have direct access to confidently come to the Father with all types of prayers. If you had more confidence that he hears and acts accordingly, wouldn’t you pray more?

A critical part of having authentic conversations with our Father in the heavens is to keep short accounts with him by confessing specific sins. And forgiving others is the key to being able to honestly confess.

The end of the Followers’ Prayer Outline can seem a little strange. How does God not lead us into temptation. What does that really mean and how can we build the habit of acknowledging his presence and his desire and power to help us?

In this amazing prayer, we learn that Paul and his team continually asked the Father for one key thing. Asking for this one thing was the key to these believers being able to remain true to Jesus in the face of all kinds of hardships and persecution. It is the one request that you and I need to continually ask the Father to give us. This is praying according to his will.

You need the Spirit of God’s help more than you know. But how do we get it and what does it mean to ask the Father to give us his Spirit? This is the kind of asking, seeking, and knocking that every believer can enjoy.

The request in the Kingdom Come Prayer of Ephesians 1 is for the Father to give us his wise and insightful Spirit. There are three results that come from this one request and the first one is that we will know the hope that is ours in Christ.

To understand the fullness of the certain inheritance that awaits believers, we are to ask the Father to give us his Spirit of wisdom and revelation.

This is the third result in the magnificent prayer in Ephesians 1:17-19. To know how much power you have at your disposal, asking God for his Spirit is essential.

Eph 3:16-19 We all need God’s strength, more than we realize. This prayer is about asking for God’s strength and enjoying the amazing results that follow.

To become more like Christ, asking the Father for his power is the key.
