Description

Drunk Women Solving Crime is a true crime podcast with a twist...of lime. Join writer/comedian hosts Hannah George, and Taylor Glenn as they welcome top guests from comedians to crime writers to test out their drunk detective skills.

Each episode sees the boozed up panel tackle personal crime stories, solve true crime cases, and seek justice for your listener crimes.

When women sit around and drink we try to solve the world’s problems. So we’re taking back the night and putting our inebriation to good use. You’re welcome.

In this week's episode of DWSC, we get to see what happened when comedian Abby Wambaugh joined the live zoom, avidly watched - and aided - by our audience of patrons.Abby opened the show with a story about a flighty man called 'Noel', and showing off some promise for her Birmingham accent, before adding some artistic license to solve a crime, which just happens to be the 2nd largest heist in US history! We then hear from one of our watching patrons, whose story certainly disproves the notion of French being the international language of love. You can also support the show on Patreon, and for as little as £3 a month, have access to ad free episodes, bonus content, live zoom records AND be the subject of one of Taylor's incredible shout outs - Drunk Women Solving Crime | creating Podcasts | Patreon Hosted on Acast. The Patrons came out in force to join Hannah and Taylor for a live zoom to be remembered, as the king of paranormal investigation aka, Danny Robins joined the force for the occasion. And as this is a gem of an ep, we couldn't wait until Men's Month to unleash this story of sportsmanship under extreme circumstances to the world.Plus, Danny himself also shared a couple of crime related stories from his own life that possibly show he's paying more council tax than anyone else on his street, or that the local authorities are BIG fans of Danny's work. And the evening's detections were also rounded off nicely with a story provided by one of the online watchers... which isn't as creepy as it sounds. To get an invite to future live zooms and a whole lot more, check out the DWSC Patreon.  Hosted on Acast. Look who's back.... it's the wonderful Sofie Hagen, who returns to the show with a fresh crime to tell us all about, before the team gets to work on a story which may be minimalist in some ways, but has had a seismic effect on the world of crime fighting. In this week's episode, Taylor and Hannah are joined by Kerry Ipema and KK Apple from musical parody show 'Six Chick Flicks' to romp through a crime solving spree worthy of any precinct in NYC. Kerry and KK start things off, each with a crime involving baffling behaviours of men in the dating / flirting scene. The team then get to the bottom of criminal behaviours of someone whose hips never forget. And finally, we hear from a listener who is no match for even the lowest of waistbands. Welcome to show two of the latest DWSC London residency where we go Back to the Future with comedian Athena Kugblenu, who returns to the force for a second time... thank goodness she had been the victim of another crime to talk to us about at the start of the show.We then jump into the DeLorean to get to the bottom of a movie based misdemeanour** and we also get to hear from a member of the audience who was the only person in the room who hadn't seen the film in question - a crime in itself! ** Contains spoilers of a film released four decades ago.You can also support the show on Patreon, and for as little as £3 a month, have access to ad free episodes, bonus content, live zoom records AND be the subject of one of Taylor's incredible shout outs - Drunk Women Solving Crime | creating Podcasts | Patreon Hosted on Acast. Hannah and Taylor are back at The Museum of Comedy, with the audience in fine raucous form, which is hardly surprising. as they were joined on stage by stars of the brilliant musical, Kathy and Stella Solve a Murder aka - Rebekah Hinds and Bronté Barbé, who proved to be just as adept at solving crime in real life as they are in their show! We also hear from a member of the audience who beat the scammers at their own game and we also discover which crimes are best done in the nude...For info and tickets to see Rebekah and Bronté as Kathy and Stella, head to Home | Kathy And Stella Solve A MurderYou can also support the show on Patreon, and for as little as £3 a month, have access to ad free episodes, bonus content, live zoom records AND be the subject of one of Taylor's incredible shout outs - Drunk Women Solving Crime | creating Podcasts | Patreon Hosted on Acast. Today's episode of Drunk Women Solving Crime sees a very capable detective join the force in the form of mystery crime writer Emma Flint! Emma tells us how an incident she was privy to in early life ignited her career as crime author before the gang then chip away at a case where nothing is set in stone. As always, we hear from a listener and this time the story definitely doesn't have a PG rating! This episode also marks the end of an era, as we say au revoir to the one and only Catie Wilkins, aka our very own Detective Sasshole. After five and a half years and almost 400 solved cases, Catie is handing in her badge and leaving the force. Although we'll see her again for the odd freelance shift, so don’t despair. In the meantime, Taylor, Hannah, and Producer Amanda wishes her every success and all the sass in the world. It’s been an honour to serve alongside you Catie XXTickets are now on sale for the DWSC London residency at their NEW VENUE of The Museum of Comedy - full details and tickets for April, May and June shows can be found here - Drunk Women Solving Crime - The UK's hit true crime comedy podcastYou can also support the show on Patreon, and for as little as £3 a month, have access to ad free episodes, bonus content, live zoom records AND be the subject of one of Taylor's incredible shout outs - Drunk Women Solving Crime | creating Podcasts | Patreon Hosted on Acast. In today's episode of DWSC, the team welcomes the fantastic comedian, writer, podcaster and influencer, Oenone Forbat to the force, so she can help solve a case which plumbs the depths of what a 19th century serial killer was able to get away with. As well as her own crime story, Oenone is also armed with a plethora of advice, courtesy of her mum, to help us avoid being the victim of any passing ne’er do well.We also hear from a listener who has a sweet mystery for the gang to get to the bottom of - and have a good old rabbit while they’re at it!Tickets are now on sale for the DWSC London residency at their NEW VENUE of The Museum of Comedy - full details and tickets for April, May and June shows can be found here - Drunk Women Solving Crime - The UK's hit true crime comedy podcastYou can also support the show on Patreon, and for as little as £3 a month, have access to ad free episodes, bonus content, live zoom records AND be the subject of one of Taylor's incredible shout outs - Drunk Women Solving Crime | creating Podcasts | Patreon Hosted on Acast. In your DWSC Live episode this week, the wondrous Ginnia Cheng joined the gang on stage to get some closure on a recent crime which leads to a discussion of whether being victim to enforced admin is possibly worse than the incident itself. Catie then takes us on a journey for which we all fall hook, line, and sinker, and we also hear from beloved super fan Sarah about a criminal story where sleeping dogs are best left to lie. AND as many of you will know, this was our Detective Sasshole’s final live show as a member of the force before she flies the nest. Thank you to everyone who came to make sure she leaves us in style... although we have a couple more cases of sassy interjections to follow, so make sure you listen to the next two episodes for your Catie content.Tickets are now on sale for the DWSC London residency at their NEW VENUE of The Museum of Comedy - full details and tickets for April, May and June shows can be found here - Drunk Women Solving Crime - The UK's hit true crime comedy podcast Hosted on Acast. Pleas back announce the name of the podcast made by your guest. Do it want to listen enough to research. You spent maybe 4 minutes so far on the topic - plenty of time to name the product. John of Henley

love the scummies, and this pod, usually -but everyone's too close to the mic most of the time in this ep, so there's distortion a lot of the time which makes difficult listening :(

What ever you do, don’t listen to this episode if you’re doing something that needs your full attention and/or control. I was laughing so much I almost crashed the van I was driving. Drunk Women is always worth a listen but Jess Robinson is incredibly funny, or psychopathic (not quite sure) Keep up the drinking ladies, I’m a big fan.
